This Altered Altoid Tin houses an accordion fold created from toilet paper rolls. It was original created for the #makerscreativecollab accordion prompt but became a bit too long for video hop. I have created two videos to complete this project. Video 1 - the Making of the Tin and Video 2 - the Making of the Accordion Fold piece. All the supplies used in this video are listed on my blog - you can find that here:

I have to say this is one of my favorite things! I love that it looks so aged!
Thank you! I like working with the altoid tins…This is the first time I glued the book in but I think the accordion lent itself well to that application. I’m glad you enjoyed!
after you'd applied all the layers of paint, and then, especially, once you added the embossing, the cardboard tubes took on the appearance of aged metal. so cool!
So happy you liked the outcome!! I found the embossing on the decorated to tube gives them a little more substance and a nice little tap when they hit the table--more like metal! I think I use my big shot more for “substance” than “decoration”😉
Love this! Absolutely beautiful! Thanks 🙏 so much for sharing. I learn so much from your videos.
Thank you!! So happy you find some value in my videos; I appreciate you!
So awesome! Beautiful job and gift!!
Thank you very much! I’m happy you liked it!
Wow! I really love this project! So much texture and nice dark colors!
Thanks Cheran!! I think we gravitate to the same hues.
We definitely do!!
Really cool... we save boxes and tins in thoughts of doing these types of thins! One day. Thank you for including our stencils in this most wonderful piece. Big Hugs
You are so welcome! I will get better with the stencil names -- I know them as I am working but I do the voice overs from the house 🤦🏻♀️
@@TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia heheh no worries 😉
This turned out so cool. I love it.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked the end result😀
I HAVE JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR ART WORK!!!!
So glad you found me!!! Very happy you like my work💕
Absolutely love this! All those yummy layers. I have to try this one!
Thank you Maureen! Toilet paper tubes are always plentiful and the labels worked out great to bind! Have fun!!
I love this. I just subscribed, I was looking for an accordion folded book and here it is. Thank you.
I am so happy to have you…there are several accordion books on my channel, my fav is the black and white one with the Dr, Suess quotes!
Love the color.. and it turns out fabolous 🃏🀄🎴🤎💙
Thank you! I appreciate your comments!
This is fabulous! Thank you for sharing!! ♥️
Thank you. Toilet Paper Tubes are very versatile! :-)
@@TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia problem is, my new kitten INSISTS that the empty ones are hers….I’ll have to start hiding them and quietly do so - she knows exactly what an empty tube sounds like and can hear it from across the house! 😊
Sooo clever! I’m inspired to get my tins out and try this 😀
I hope you do! They can be fun to work with!
I like your style.
Thank you very much!
I'm such a fan of yours. Love all your creations. So curious about the photo too.
I downloaded the issue…it is a picture of Mary Todd Lincoln with her husbands ghost!!! I didn’t see the faded image of Lincoln but he was there!
I'm excited to see what you "actually do" for the collaboration. It's their loss to not include this project. I recently found a tin from a long-ago purchase of a watch for either my husband or one of our sons. Guess what I'm gonna try? BUT I was able to finish some of my paper crafting projects and therefore February is designated as the month to work on my quilting UFOs so the tin will be later. As always a beautiful work of art.
Thank you Susan! I have one of the mini tins I need to do something with….The watch tin will be great to work with! I did a completely different concept for the collab, all in black and white with a touch of purple!
Love this idea aren’t tiny things so fascinating and curious you have such fab ideas thank you for sharing. I’m not sure why you couldn’t use it for the colab am I being dumb? Thank you xx
We have a 15 minute time limit for the collab videos and I couldn’t cut this whole project down to 15🤦🏻♀️. I have created something totally different for the collab in black and white! I’m not a “flip through” kind of gal…I like the process videos better so I try to keep all mine to an easy formula…here’s what I made…here’s how I made it…and here it is again. 😂. I also like to keep my videos within my own attention span limitations and I’m good for 10-20 minutes then I have to fast forward or move on. Is that too much information 😂😂😂
@@TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia no that’s great I wasn’t aware there was a time limit so thanks I could watch them all day love seeing the thought process I love when things go wrong and you see the process of solving them that is such a help to us bunglaers lol thank you xx
