  • #phototransfer Transfer photos to fabric for use in your junk or art journal. This simple process will create a vintage look photo to display your image. I have created an altered tin to house a tea bag journal that commemorates the 1940's and the long distance love between the WWII soldiers and the wives they left at home.

love where you are going with this and what a fabulous follow-up vid. I am looking forward to watching you continue this journal series. I have transferred paper images onto wooden furniture and jewelry boxes so I am really comfortable with the method. I am Very Grateful the pieces are small. ((lol))

Great process and explanation. Is using a laser printer critical--or will an injet also work???

An inkjet will work but the ink does bleed somewhat when you get the image wet with the modpodge!

I love your channel. I attempted to do this with modge pod and I’m so unhappy with results. The image bubbled and didn’t transfer in some spots..totally frustrated. Can you please tell me what your home made glue transfer recipe is? Did I not burnish enough? Any tips appreciated!

I use 1/3 part water to 1 part Elmers Glue. Dry the layers in between coating and print from a laser printer! It does take a lot of burnishing, a spoon works great. I like to use a natural fabric as well. Hope this helps…I had some flops too!
