It's a great watch. I got to see the salmon dial in person. There are definitely watches you need to see in person. They feel like a big step up in quality too me.
It is a gorgeous watch, and in person, the salmon color really pops up; however, the cream color perhaps is more dressy and more flexibly for all occasions. Great looking watch that looks more expensive than the asking price.
Bought the seiko presage classic Ivory color. You can never go wrong with this colorway! The shimmer of the min-hr-secs hands are just different. The textured dial adds to the premium look of the watch!
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I am a fan of the presage line up. Great watches for the money. My son wears my sarx055. I use a sarx057. Stunning watches! Why dont my GS have AR like these????? Also have a sje073. Different special one.
Gorgeous dial I’d have to swap bracelets maybe a beads of rice or a nice strap. Once Seiko drops these at 38-34 mm people will lose their minds over this. I still like it though and I like the date.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
This is my favorite dream watch which used to be a King Seiko. I say dream watch because a luxury watch is a stretch for many of us. But it's a tough proposal because while the style is amazing, the substance over style argument falls short now. American microbrands such as Traska can be had for $650.and an Islander for $350 with similar specs and top dial and stainless steel finishing in each of their similar models. Seikos are getting so overpriced in mid-range models as they don't even use sapphire or have 100m water resistance. So one can get luxury features with microbrands for less. This watch also seems to lack lume not that it's a dealbreaker on this one. But I will wait for a heavily discounted used one. I look forward to that!!!! $1300 was the adjusted price for a Rolex Submariner when it came out in the 1950s. So this would have been considered luxury back then. Now people spending $1000 is considered normal. Not for me. Would rather have two high quality suits or a used car. It's just a time teller. My grandfather who was a multimillionaire told me never to spend money on a watch as most are all the same. He wore a Citizen. (man of the people) I agree with him. Most watches offer the same quality now aside from a few magnetically resistant watches like a Rolex. But it's not worth that feature for the money they want.
The watches in this video have 2 sapphires and 100m of water resistance. While microbrands are nice they will never give you the same satisfaction of ownership or pride that a brand with a rich history like Seiko gives. I love microbrands but there is something special about Seiko watches. They just hit different.
@@EscapementWatch I agree 100%. You'e 100% right about that. Which is why it's my favorite. Seiko is my favorite brand overall. But for a used watch price of $500-600 which is all I ever want to pay for a watch. I also like Beaufort watches. Yes, they have sapphire and 100m but for double the price of microbrands . So not sure I would pay $500 for the name. The lack of lume is a huge drawback as well. Why can't Seiko add this to their luxury watches!!!!!!????? With the Traska GMT you get a GMT function, multiple colors, scratch resistant steel, lume. And it looks every bit as much a luxury watch.
@@EscapementWatch Who made that a law lol. Seriously. Aren't there other brands that have dress watches with lume? Can't they put something on the dials?
I asked the rep and apparently the bigger watches still out sell the smaller by a large margin. Luckily this one does wear smaller then its size indicates.
I think the ivory dial would definitely have a place in my collection if it were 38mm. It's absolutely stunning in person-I almost feel like I wouldn’t even miss my Grand Seiko with it around. I could sell the GS and save $$$
40mm is perfect for a dress watch fpr me. 42 for a sports watch like a diver or a pilot. 38 is great for smaller men. 34-36 is a ladies size. 36 used to be the norm back when people were much smaller. I'm 6'2 and 220, 7.5 inch wrist, lifting weights and boxing - a 38 mil watch looks and feels like a toy to me. Nothing refined, just undersized and therefore disproportionate.
The nicest Presage watches for me remain SARX055 and SARX057. I think SARX055's dial texture is more interesting, and that case and bracelet combo to me feel worthy of the $1K price tag, whereas I think this case and bracelet looks more like a nice SARY level watch.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MAMACOO's watches are the most intriguing.
@@AMore429 Are you serious? I would argue the opposite. Seiko at 450 and you don’t get sapphire or lume or 100m when most micro brands give you this at or near that price. But have you seen a King Seiko orb grand Seiko. They are perhaps the most beautiful watches in the world. Give me one fantasy watch and I will take a King Seiko. Any watch. Most reviewers consider Seiko S tier on most watch review sites of all brands. Meaning the top of the top. Not because of their mid range but because of king Seiko grand Seiko and presage urushi lacquer finishing.
I've meet many watch collectors over the years of doing this channel, some are millionaires, most regular folk. What I noticed is the ones with the $100,000 to $200,000 dollar collections say the same things to me. "a real seiko is a vintage or anything above 2k, anything less and they are not real Seiko." The value collectors always say "don't buy a Seiko over 1000 dollars." My opinion is different then these 2 but in the end we all have our own opinions and tastes, which is why watch collecting is so great. I'm trying to trade my Tudor bb54 as we speak for a seiko but its taking a long time.
@@EscapementWatchIs there such a thing as an automatic movement that needs little servicing? Would you know which of Seikos movements go the longest without servicing? I would like one that rarely if ever needs servicing. I’ve had a seiko 5 for 45 years and it still runs great. Will it be the same for this watch?
Add $450 and you get a much better looking higher quality watch in a Shinola Circadian 36 in red or Grey mother of pearl dial or a two tone for $550 more than this Pressage. The Shinola is more compact and elegant watch than this watch by far.
Speak for yourself , I own 3 dressy Seikos, an affordable 4R, a mid 6R and a high end 6L. When I wear my 6L KSK - I walk into any watch shop at any price point and whatever is in front of me doesn’t have the case / crystal / dial complexity and finishing unless it’s a store that doesn’t display prices 😂. Fact is many people got into watches through UA-cam and lots of discounted dead stock Seiko and expected that to continue for the rest of their lives.
@@hammalamiri12 Nice watch but, c'mon it is a 3500 $ watch. At this price point it compares to Longines, Tudor, Union, Nomos, Baume, Oris, Tag, Mont Blanc, just to name a few. I compared them in the past and at this price i would never choose a Seiko over Longines, Tudor or Union. Seiko used to be the best bang for the bug, when they had the Sarb line or the SKX their collection. They lost their path. It's a great watch. I got to see the salmon dial in person. There are definitely watches you need to see in person. They feel like a big step up in quality too me.
I’ve noticed a quality increase in Seiko and mid tier watches a quality decrease in the 3 - 5k segment
I was hoping for a screw down crown.
It is a gorgeous watch, and in person, the salmon color really pops up; however, the cream color perhaps is more dressy and more flexibly for all occasions.

hard time choosing between cream and salmon, but in person, the salmon dial really pop
I had the same hard time choosing which to review.

my favorites are still the sarx029 and sarx059 dials.
thinking about the arita models to get too.
love those dials and hands
Like these a lot. The signed crown is a nice touch. However, with this bracelet they look very old fashioned, especially the cream colourway.
Quality is legit 🔥
Seiko 😎👏🏼 perfect watch
Great review 👍
This along with the JDM titanium sharp edged are probably the best non-limited presage
I got the JDM Ti SARX117 and it's indeed fantastic.
sharp is nice but I noticed better finish on the inside on these new presages. Clean.
@@EscapementWatch the titanium one is quite different from the regular spb sharp edge, not sure if quality is better though

AMZWATCH is a must for me as a watch collector
Nice package 😊

Great watches and video FT!
Much appreciated!
Hi Falling, can you do The State Of The Collection before the year ends ? Thank you Falling . Best wishes
This or the sharp edge is better finishing and quality wise?
this
Nice watch and bracelet but I can see the little collar will be a pain to deal with
Yes my advice is to lay it flat on the desk if you can to do most of the sizing

Wish they removed the pressage off the dial and had a P etched into the crown instead, prospec line should do the same.
A "P" in the crown? I dunno about that.

Will it fit too big for 6 or 6.2 inch wrist?
36-38 mm would be better
At that price, I'm expecting more than an NH35 with extra power reserve. Bracelet is also embarrassing to adjust.
Doesn’t your AD adjust your bracelet? Or do you adjust it twice a day just for the fun of it?
What moving are you expecting then? The slas will be $3,000
4:45 we all see that black mark, right?
