I love how, not only is the setup intriguing but you're having to be savvy with your limited parts usage. Makes the whole thing that much more interesting
For Christmas you could go sledding on one of the icey planets/moons. Could be a nice challenge to design a sled that doesn't immediately explode when moving over terrain and can turn and brake.
Me: I’m feeling really sad😢 Also me: “On a lonely planet, slowly spinning its way to damnation, amid the incompetence and unpreparedness of lesser space programs, one team stands resilient against the herds. i just started playing ksp and i gotta say i've been loving your videos so far, i have a fuelless lander stuck on the mun as well right now, so after seeing this video i might give that rescue a try

i go to the US Air Force Academy, and the first time they played "colonel bogey march" while we were marching, i immediately recognized it from the Blunderbirds. i got yelled at for whispering the intro theme while we were marching lmaoooo
Funny enough, yesterday i got a kerbal to land on the moon and take some experiments for the first time. After that i realized he was now stuck on mun until someone comes to rescue him. Ontop of that, i now am trying to save a kerbal from a stuck orbit, to go save a kerbal on the moon. So much saving but atleast they're not dead!
Hell yeah, Blunderbirds are BACK! Broke my heart dumping KSP2 off my SSD, but you're bringing back my enthusiasm for classic KSP and the mods you've shown in the past ease the pain quite a bit. Since PoE2 is the only "new" thing that even mildly interests me, I might just have to reinstall KSP and try to recreate my old glory days.

Idear for a Christmas episode: instead of going to space, try to get all the way round kerbin in one day (one planetary rotation) but only use air breathing engines, no oxidiser
YAAAA !! A NEW BLUNDERBIRDS EPISODE!! =D I'd love to see a channel where people can send in ships that they've created and haven't been able to fix issues that they have with them. I've got a ship I created and the entire top structure is connected to an inverted trapezoid shaped gas tank that I would like to remove and replace with a large octagon shaped Bay that can house 1 or 2 small ships or shuttles, but after literally countless hours I have not been able to fix it. =(
I would have had a rover with a rocket to right the craft, but that works as well. Of course a new mission will be needed to clean up the debris left on the Mun, but some people don't care about Mun Warming, so not every Kerbal will be upset with the Blunderbirds, so I guess it is all good...
just as a quick note, you don’t need planetshine if you have deferred rendering, as deferred rendering gives a much better appearance and takes less performance to do so also, theres an invite-only reentry effects mod that looks amazing, you should check that out
A fun but borderline impossible idea especially considering the new film might be "The really wrong trousers" a borderline unflyable trousers shaped rocket inspired by Wallace and Gromit.
Let's just imagine that there was the ability to have the landing legs of the lander extend a bit further then normal allowing the Rover to move out of the bottom of the Lander. Then further let's imagine the Rover and Lander having a docking connection on the bottom of the main cabin of the lander and on top of the rover allowing further docking between the two. Also, kind of sad no Blunderbird Flag being planted. Sigh.
I love all your videos and recently I've seen some pretty dumb Planet Coaster 2 videos and I loved all your parks, and I was wondering if you could please do a Planet Coaster 2 series or if you are currently working on one. As you used to always say I can't wait for a Planet Coaster sequel
Scott had 2 videos (or more) on the subject. The first one was the trig. and I'm like NOPE. The 2nd one was just eyeballing it from orbit and then pushing the retrograde vector onto the target. I still use that method today. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally landed (or almost) on top of the ship. LMAO
Ooooh I was once in the exactly same spot of bother. I did a lander with docking ports on the side and had to hop for a while around the strandees until I could dock both ships. Was also a lot of fun with KSP collision physics 😂
For Christmas, you should do a special where you visit Minmus, Vall, and, if you feel up to the challenge, Eeloo. All the icy bodies. Okay that last part sounded a bit out of context
Ps @AllTheGear are great Part of the downfall of CarThrottle to AutoAlex, All the gear and TopDeadCentre. 👌🏻 All the gear is just good mates being good mates and I absolutely adore them. Watching them actually genuinely makes me feel more lonely. 😂
Please do the minmus surface colony next year! I’ve been waiting for the next episode of that series for ages! (And commenting on like every video asking when you’ll do it lol)
Matt, I challenge you to a 2 kerbal mission to Eve to set up an advanced science outpost. The twist of this mission is that you can't use the 3rd person camera, only first-person instruments and map screen. God speed and good luck.
Love this. Would love to see more of this, especially given Ksp 1 is played more nowadays and im sure i can strand myself somewhere far away for you to someday fetch and rescue :3c
maybe do a mission where you launch from the poles? like, fly a plane to one of the poles and launch a mission to a space station or something with extra snacks and candy for the kerbals for christmas?
You should build a north pole/santa's workshop base and fly it to the north pole of kerbin(or another planet if you want a real challenge). Great video as always!
WOOHOO! BLUNDERBIRDS! The klaw is fun, but also kind-of stupid. :D 4:27 "What if rockets were made of bread???" 🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure there was a magnetic pen stand in the 90s, in the Innovations catalog. It's probably long since out of production now, many things from that catalog are, while others have become completely normal. Memory is a fickle thing. For instance, I decided to stop typing after one line... Nah, that's not a memory issue. Complex missions with a high risk of failure? I'm inspired! XD lol I have to this day got mixed feelings, being proud of rescuing Jeb from Laythe and sad I missed my chance to get on Blunderbirds. :) What are Laythe rescues like? Because you can't exactly get a close landing with parachutes. I shall have to see how it was done. I hope there's one other than Scott Manley's safe, some puns are just... I always like seeing the Oscar-B fuel tanks formed into curved tubes. I couldn't be bothered with a lot of math either. There's just too many ways to get it wrong, and if you're not really familiar with the math you need, it's such a headache getting it right. I'm getting a headache at the _description_ of the Mr Beast video! 🤣 And then I was just sitting here quietly hating the game (the UA-cam game) when the rover docked with the fallen lander and they went springing off the ground in such a way that I burst out laughing!

Yo love you're Videos I got a Friend that doesnt Know how to play (he only make spaceplanes) and Im trying to Teach him Rockets any tips?
for Christmas you should deliver a present to every planet and/or moon's north pole
thats actually such a good idea
An interplanetary reindeer!!! With a red nose obviously
I SECOND THIS OMG THIS IS FIRE
This is a good idea
Yes
just love the blunderbirds intro
Me too it's nostalgic for me

They are: THE BLUNDERBIRDS!
Saving the Kerbin Race, one stranded explorer at a time.
The Colonel Bogey march would be a pretty great choice for a national march if we ever needed one.
it's so so good. I lol everytime at the quicksave line
I love how, not only is the setup intriguing but you're having to be savvy with your limited parts usage. Makes the whole thing that much more interesting
What if you delivered a present to the north pole of Dres?
Dres probably gets so lonely, you can spread the Christmas spirit!
For Christmas you could go sledding on one of the icey planets/moons. Could be a nice challenge to design a sled that doesn't immediately explode when moving over terrain and can turn and brake.

The mission was never completed. The Blunderbirds flag wasn't planted.
I love the intro, and the music that plays whenever you’re building.
It must be a Christmas special. Recover the Heinz beans can.
Bruh, this has got to be the longest YT series ever, it's been 3 years and Blunderbirds are still go
For a brick, he flew pretry good!
God, i love Blunderbirds! ❤
Yiiiis another blunderbirds episodeeee
More Blunderbirds lets GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
this video reminded me that i have ksp

This makes the day better
this is my new favorite Saturday morning cartoon!!!
You do an excellent job selecting rescue missions :)
A space plane to Jool/Lathe

Matt finished his outro! It's a Christmas miracle!
The intro is always amazing, that old tv style is really good...
I can’t wait for the Scott Manley drama!
been watching your videos for nearly 5 years! Always enjoyed the weekly KSP uploads :)
just as a quick note, you don’t need planetshine if you have deferred rendering, as deferred rendering gives a much better appearance and takes less performance to do so
also, theres an invite-only reentry effects mod that looks amazing, you should check that out
Why is it invite only? Is it super early in dev?
@TheOriginalSide1 i think so
A fun but borderline impossible idea especially considering the new film might be "The really wrong trousers" a borderline unflyable trousers shaped rocket inspired by Wallace and Gromit.

Excellent! Another Blunderbirds episode! I always enjoy these. Maybe do one every month or two? I would enjoy an episode a little more often.
I love all your videos and recently I've seen some pretty dumb Planet Coaster 2 videos and I loved all your parks, and I was wondering if you could please do a Planet Coaster 2 series or if you are currently working on one. As you used to always say I can't wait for a Planet Coaster sequel
Would love to see a live stream or continuation of the little story you had going with the bases and space station.
LMAO
I got so used to watching like your videos 2 months late that it took me a bit to realize this was a new video
Ooooh I was once in the exactly same spot of bother. I did a lander with docking ports on the side and had to hop for a while around the strandees until I could dock both ships. Was also a lot of fun with KSP collision physics 😂
Wow these visual mods are magnificent. I'll have to try and find these.
I missed this old gold KSP-1 videos

deliver "presents" from eve back to the runway using the most unareodynamic sleigh you can make.
I've definitely missed this more than I thought ❤
Ps @AllTheGear are great

LETS GOOOO THE BLUNDERBIRDS ARE BACK🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
3:30. Holy crap that's why they call it a "fair"- ing
THE BIRDS ARE SO BACK
Please do the minmus surface colony next year! I’ve been waiting for the next episode of that series for ages! (And commenting on like every video asking when you’ll do it lol)
Christmas Special: Base on North Pole of Eeloo
Matt, I challenge you to a 2 kerbal mission to Eve to set up an advanced science outpost.
The twist of this mission is that you can't use the 3rd person camera, only first-person instruments and map screen.
God speed and good luck.
A good Christmas special is a flight to real North Pole or real Lapland in RSS/RO (or at least KSRSS lol)
(totally not a ploy to get matt to play rss)
The blunderbirds are beck we are home baby!
Eyy it’s my first blunder birds video since I’ve subscribed:D
BLUNDERBIRDS ARE BACK!!!
I love when you do a bit of a flashback story… or should I say Flash-MATT?
I know it was stupid but it seems like something Matt would enjoy
You should build a north pole/santa's workshop base and fly it to the north pole of kerbin(or another planet if you want a real challenge). Great video as always!
Christmas on Dres. Just watch out for their planetary defence systems.
Blunderbirds! I like the lander design
Yay, good series
I needed this.
It is not older than earth I see you have done the Rubix cube. Scott Manley is playing with fire.
BLUNDERBIRDS IS BACKK!!
Why the Colonel Bogey?
I value blunderbirds episodes more than starship test flights
See if you can make a rover that looks like Santa's sleigh for the Christmas special😂 I can imagine something not unlike the star wars pod racer!
My rescue missions usually end up also needing a rescue mission.
Santa needs to visit Laithe
You toughen up soldier and get those kerbals home yourself lol
Merry early Christmas
The Blunderbirds! Fantastic !!!! =)
Video/mission idea. Land on the mun, come back, entirely in 1st person view no map nor 3rd person. Feel what its like to be a Kerbal.
What a good idea.
Give this guy a raise.
I second that.
My request to Santa Claus this year will be a video of Matt playing rss
Challenge idea: what if you launch a mission all the way to Duna and back with only solid rocket boosters.
Also parachutes will not be permitted
You need to visit locations with Christmas colours.
So Duna and Jool (or its moons) with the same craft.
Blunderbirds my GOAT, great video!
WOOHOO! BLUNDERBIRDS!
The klaw is fun, but also kind-of stupid. :D
4:27 "What if rockets were made of bread???" 🤣🤣🤣

Send a giant present to eeloo! (I love eeloo!)
13:55 The mission to... what?
Dres
Matt could you do a RP/1 video/serie?
Get Santa Kerman to and from Eeloo (the North Pole) for Christmas.
BLUNDERBIRDS R BACK! :)
Do a KSP video that is themed like A Christmas Carol... like kerbals of past present and future... and ... i dont know what I am thinking about.
Lander kind of reminds me of Thunderbird 10 from Thunderbirds 2086
Give the gift of an aster3oid to Dres, it must get lonely, with it not being real and all that.
blunderbirds is back hell yea
Never stop making videos.
Matts is getting another monitor.
Matt, don't be silly. Dres doesn't exist. It's just a tall tale Jeb tells to scare the other Kerbals.
HELL YEAH BLUNDERBIRDS
