I couldn't agree with you more!! The whole lot of them are SO immature! Each child on their own has more maturity than this husband/father and his whole family put together!! If i was alone with the kids and they came to the door, I wouldn't answer the door!!! Hopefully, my kids would be in their rooms quietly playing or watching TV!!! I count my blessings that my in-laws are all great people!!!

It must be so hard for her to run a structured household with all the other adults around undermining her authority. Nobody can raise four kids without having them chip in with chores. So disappointing that the husband wouldn't appreciate how lucky he is. The kids need to have ownership in the home or with that many people nobody can hold back the tide of chaos. (Speaking from experience: it didn't come naturally to me but I have had to teach my own kids to do chores cos if 6 people are constantly messing up a house, 1 person alone cannot manage to clean it all up, there's only so many hours in the day).

I hope she gets out and finds someone better! I never dreamed this could happen but it did to me too. My ex's grandmother was the culprit and his mother and rest of the family just stood there and were passive aggressively cruel. Its was a bi racial marriage and they made horrible comments I would just have to try to ignore. Once I asked him to step up he eventually turned on me. Its the worst feeling to have your husband reject you. Why marry a person and let them get treated this way? Horrible.
Wonder if the husband was only child as his mother seems to have no idea how much work 4 kids cause. Divorce the child man and let him live with his adoring parents. She should find an adult to have a relationship with who can actually manage his own life.

@@redders6858 I would hope so. Where it still exists an action is brought by a spouse against a third party alleged to be responsible for damaging the marriage, most often resulting in divorce. That fits his parents although I have a feeling he may he cheating as he seems to have checked out of the marriage.
Sadly I think you may be right. He can’t be invested in his marriage if he can treat his wife so cruelly. Very sad for her. She would be happier in the long run without a husband like him but I think the rejection and hurt from this situation will stay with her for a while.

I get the feeling that she has had little support from her family and his family just undermine her at every opportunity while he does nothing. Cannot imagine ay woman who is confident and knows her own worth putting up with this for very long. Honestly, if my future husband always sides with MIL, how hard life must be to feel like you have no one on your side. I think it's good she has a set of rules for her family- it will be worth it in the long run if they are able to grow up with some discipline. And the fact that the MIL feels like she has a say in their marriage and is trying to break apart the family is awful. Think of the kids for once and how a divorce will affect them. I feel compassion for any woman that has given birth to 4 babies, they look to be close in age too. My mother raised 4 kids on her own, the absent father & husband he tried and failed at hurt her more than I realized, now. So I know those kids love her to the moon and back 😀😍 if she goes it alone she'll be happier, complete and will sleep contentedly.
