Is it Gen 2 (exportable)? What's the sensor material? Is it a true bolometer, or just a near-infrared image sensor? (I am guessing the latter - hence the need for AI processing)
Looks ok for the price but the internal battery, weight, and lack of light blocking (the splash from your viewfinder) makes it impractical for mounted wear. Also, I dunno about ai enhancement... what if for example it decides that patch looks like (country x) flag and enhances it - and you select your target incorrectly. or it's sure that stump is a person... does the ai do any image fill or only color enhancement? this makes me wanna throw some imagers and a pi together and run it through opencv
Thanks for the video and explanation of this unit. Why is all the sales and marketing items these days say they are “powered by AI” . For me if the term “Powered by AI “ is used for a device I don’t need AI in, then it will be something I won’t purchase as I know it’s a bogus claim. You don’t mention the zoom setting for the device other than it would be nice to have a 1X wide field of view. I would like to have an integrated optical zoom, but I’m guessing for a device of this price that still wouldn’t be an option. Thanks again for the review, but this device doesn’t seem to have the most important feature of optical zoom I would want in such a device. Thanks.
It's silly how now they just throw the name AI at anything that is automatically done by a computing system with sensors, just to sound like it's more advanced and cool.
Hi David. I just followed your link and made the purchase. Can you tell me what you found regarding head mounting gear? Head straps, helmets, etc? Ill be interested in those abilities. Thanks!
Congrats on the purchase, and many thanks for using my link! 😎👍🍻 So, no luck yet with head mounting gear, I'm about to order some go-pro extensions to test out with my fast helmet. I'll have to do an update vid if I have any success. What would really be good is if they made some sort of dovetail adapter that would fit into a wilcox mount. Hopefully in the future we'll see a 1x version with mounting options for an even better build overall!
Hello, yes you sure can! There are Low, Medium, and High brightness settings. If the lowest setting was still too bright, since the viewing screen has glass you could also apply a light tint to get the right brightness I suppose. 😎👍🍻
The lack of binary vision makes driving a problem; you have zero depth perception unless you have undergone a lot of training with the equipment, like the military pilots do.
Depending how low the battery life is it may take a couple hours. I'm not exactly sure, I usually just let my charge overnight, I never timed it from 0-100% though.
Whatever they sent all the influencers is NOT what we the consumers received. I received mine this weekend and NOTHING I try can get the same image quality in any way. This was a total scam
Thanks David for putting up this review. We are using the SiOnyx Pro units to shoot the night sky on clear nights. It works well for us, but 720p is a bit of a limitation. The SiOnyx has an exposure control setting on the camera to reduce or increase gain. Do you know if the new Seemor allows the user to select frame rate, gain (exposure), or other settings to allow the user to control the light? I'm looking for an on-line manual but can't find one. Any advise would be great. Many thanks! Ian
Hey, Johnny . . . can you confirm if there is exposure control on the new Seemor? I got a reply from their customer service, and they suggested that the AI feature means it's all controlled automatically. If there is a way to control frame rate and gain, then it's a no-brainer for my application. @@j0hnny_R3db34rd
Not sure about that but I saw a review where a guy compared them and he said the seemor is a much better unit than the Sionyx. Which I was happy to hear because I've been lusting for one for a long time now and haven't pulled the trigger. I ordered a seemor today. 1/4th the price and better quality.
I am certain that it will be a great until for a lot of uses - and giving way better performance than the SiOnyx. I've used other digital NV binoculars and cameras that are really nice, but when you point them to the night sky to record stars, the auto gain ramps up making the sky too light, and adding way too much noise. If there is a way to adjust some of the settings manually to control exposure and shutter speed, it would kill the SiOnyx, for those looking to record the night sky. . . and the much lower price sure doesn't hurt either . Please let us know how you like the unit. @@ebenezergeezer
As someone who just found out that I stand a good chance of losing all of my eyesight, or at least a good portion of it and I already have NO night vision whatsoever, devices like this are very interesting to me, just unfortunately the price tag makes it out of reach. Those who suffer vision impairments usually aren't working and are on disability but this is something that these companies should be exploring as it represents a market that is in dire need of some devices to assist their everyday living. Not everything needs to be about hunting and "wargames". Cheers.
Hi man, this is COMPLETELY off topic, but i saw one of your previous videos on how to treat a scratched and scuffed watch. Do you reckon it would be possible to apply our own brushed finishing on a stainless steel watch where the watch is polished. So basically get rid of the polish and make our own brushed effect, or do you think that would be a big no no
Hey there, as Tom mentioned, you can absolutely turn the high polished surfaces to brushed, however, I would advise to approach it with extreme caution in terms of keeping a steady hand and making sure your movements with the abrasive surface are done in perfectly straight motions. If you do it at even a slight angle the brushed lines will be slanted. I would not attempt to brush a circular surface like a bezel until practicing on a cheap throw away watch first. 😎👍
In the movie Videodrome, an experimental color night vision headset caused those who used it to experience vivid and frightful hallucinations that became too real.
It needs a rangefinder judging distance from the unit to object and object b as well as distance between objects a and object b. It needs an incline meter, a velocimeter, gps and barometer. Include those things then it will be useful!
Hi David - were you ever able to find a fitment that worked with the mounting rails and the 1/4" screw fitting? I f there's a way to mount these to my head for hands free use, i'm 100% in.
Hey sorry for the late reply, Scott. I did not find an exact fitment that works with the rails yet. I tried using some go-pro arms but its kinda wonky and not stable. I'll keep looking tho!
What is NEEDED is a proper sensor that is a full 8 microns or larger per photosite and NOT the 2.9 microns used by the Sony Starvis OEM'ed imagers used in these products! The sensor should be running at 120 fps 4K resolution and use a proper 4K display in the viewfinder. The focal length of the lenses SHOULD be at 24 mm to get around 220 degrees of wide field of view for CQC uses and for walking, riding bikes, cars, marine vessels and aircraft! The 120 fps using a real-time Huse/saturation/luminance/contrast plus unsharp mask plus 2D-XY SOBEL/CANNY edge detection will give the best image quality!

I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75 /////////////

Also, I dunno about ai enhancement... what if for example it decides that patch looks like (country x) flag and enhances it - and you select your target incorrectly. or it's sure that stump is a person... does the ai do any image fill or only color enhancement? this makes me wanna throw some imagers and a pi together and run it through opencv
wow! when did nightvison get so cheap? cuz its digital?
An external battery charger would be nice, you could be charging the spare cell off of a power bank.
How many people clicked because they thought they saw a twin turbo feeding a supercharger?
Lol right here!!😂
The Most advanced thermal infrared imaging device is at Lagrange’s point in the space and conducting a research of the universe.
Can you see the stars with them with light pollution?
I will need to test that out soon! Its been really cloudy and rainy here this past week. I'll try to post an update sometime soon! 😎👍🍻
Do you know when the Tripods will be sent out that backers won ?
Hi David: can you turn down the intensity of the screen's light, so that youre not blinded and lose your naked eye night vision?
Hello, yes you sure can! There are Low, Medium, and High brightness settings. If the lowest setting was still too bright, since the viewing screen has glass you could also apply a light tint to get the right brightness I suppose. 😎👍🍻
Thanks David!@@DavidSchwartzjr
Also, curious about this for driving at night? is this something that would work well for that? Or not so much? Lol.
The lack of binary vision makes driving a problem; you have zero depth perception unless you have undergone a lot of training with the equipment, like the military pilots do.
I could have a lot of fun with this watching wildlife.
whats the price??? most Image Intensifying goggles are very expensive.....
What is the lowest magnification it has?
Received mine but its still charging after 1 hour....how long before the battery is charged
Depending how low the battery life is it may take a couple hours. I'm not exactly sure, I usually just let my charge overnight, I never timed it from 0-100% though.
website has malicious code on it that you listed for the akaso
What do you mean? I’d like more information on that, thanks.
I doubt there is any actual AI involved here. I bet it's just the new marketing buzzword that gets slapped on every product.
Probably, after all technically any analytic algorithm could be called "A.I.". All it is, is a complex set of "if/then" coding.
Rule based AI vs Machine learning AI
Very limited AI for application only, not a super computer!
Whatever they sent all the influencers is NOT what we the consumers received. I received mine this weekend and NOTHING I try can get the same image quality in any way. This was a total scam
@@thecryptidsdenDo you still have it and what do you think after 4 months of use?
@@ebenezergeezer
why did it take so long to attache a phone to binoculars?
Thermal is superior.... in ALL conditions.
So basically get rid of the polish and make our own brushed effect, or do you think that would be a big no no
You can brush polished surface (stainless steel) no problem.
@@DavidSchwartzjr
What he said.
There are some videos on YT explaining how to. Watch before attempting brushing.
Full colour 4k night vision has been out since the release of the Sony a7s2.
I paid. 1200 bux for military grade 2nd generation Russian NV 25 years ago and these beat hell out of that.
The picture may be better. But remember yours displays images in realtime...digital has quite a delay
What is "these" and "that"?! You are making no sense!
I’m guessing you briefly served and were a driver
In the movie Videodrome, an experimental color night vision headset caused those who used it to experience vivid and frightful hallucinations that became too real.
I see you were able to take a break from the zombie apocalypse to make this video... nice.
Wait no 1x? What’s the point without it it’s not a walk around device without 1x
The WiFi signal is easily detected, bad Idea.
It also should use rechargeable CR123 type batteries
awsome
This needs to be a small headset
If this device is available for commercial sale makes you wonder what the military has.
It is a scam, I ordered it weeks ago and still nothing and I cannot email them to ask
Do not call yourself a Sasquatcher in 2024 until you have a pair of these! The truth will be revealed.
Also, be wary about the AI, AI can be used to hi lite animals and people, or it can filter out animals or people
The WiFi transceiver should be removable.
what do people use this for anyway ?
never got the idea what people use night vision for , other then military application for night ops , maybe
but you don't go hunting at night and fishing doesn't need much more then a tiny led for hooking up a worm or fish for eels ...
maybe a bigfoot show can use it to catch one with his pants down , but for the rest ... ?? idk ...
92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come;
and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality.
99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." .....2 Esdras 7:75

“HI resolution, 4mp photos. - Potato vision!
This item, for what reason does one need to acquire? Well actually there is no need for this item, its probably a health risk as you might disappear if used in a inappropriate manner...which is pretty much always.
it looks like the artificially colored ww2 videos, grainy black and white made to look like color.
Just make wireless connect to micricro screen classes
I ordered it not long ago to test it last night. It is a terrible device an I'm returning it. For hunters - maybe but for recording the sky - definitively not. Also the software is absolutely brutal! I was planning to make a video of the reality of that camera but can't be bothered. Waiting for a collection man to come and pick this nonsense up.
I watched this video and ordered a pair. Mine is now a month late and was delivered to some unknown location. Beware of this company.
These do NOT cost $200. They cost $424!!! C'mon dude, give correct info.
Sure, I have one in my freakin back pocket....
There’s nothing new about these Bono’s, they’ve been around for a couple of years now, the really new stuff is combining IR with thermal night vision technology.
The $300+ price tag is very close to the Sionyx. 🤔
It’s less than $200
they say anything is powered by AI nowdays ,the problem is we dont have a concensus of what AI is and what something must consist of to state that its using AI really all tvs nowdays are AI ,anything thats artificial and is intellegent that is above the intellegence of Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokell
So if I lost my dog in dark...I could possibly find him with this ?
Yes, and quite easily
@DavidSchwartzjr
Thankyou David .
How so ? If unit does not have infrared
Ok I'm in Australia and my mate just received his purchase of this unit and these beta versions you guys got must have a 2000 dollar sensor for promo purposes. Because I played with his and the colour night vision is 100% not usable. Can't even make out an image. It is about a 100 dollar normal night vision!definitely would not buy this!
I'll be doing a review on UA-cam to save people money.
