About American Dad:

Love how the Smith Christmas went from Stan trying to have the best Christmas to annual wars against Santa.
The feud between the Smiths and Santa Claus will forever be one of my favorite things in TV history.

@@KittySoftpaws449 While we can agree on American Dad, I'm afraid I find Family Guy very off putting now. If I wanted offensive and controversial, I'd go with South Park. See, that I enjoy just as much as I do AD and I've been watching SP since I was a teenager. Yep, love both American Dad and South Park. The ONLY two adult cartoons a lot of people are still debating while Simpsons and Family Guy are off the hook.

I watched that episode with the rapture years ago when I was definitely to young to watch this show and I remember Roger saying that and thought it meant he was hung by a rope like dead and the realization that hit all these years later made me laugh so fucking much

It’s because Seth Macfarlane came up with the concept and does the voices, but American Dad has different writers. I like both, but American Dad is definitely the better show.
Seth doesn’t actually write most of the new family guy episodes aleast I don’t think so
American Dad I can still tolerate. I just find Family Guy horrible and off putting.
@@MissDavids Yea American Dad has funny writing and interactions. I remember one episode where they had the “Smith Family Meeting” about Roger then votes that Steve’s new names is “Bayou Billy With The Big Heavy Balls”. Hilarious!
Speaking of writers, most of those on American Dad used to work for Family Guy during its first three seasons including AD cocreators Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman. This explains why FG keeps getting worse every year while American Dad has stayed quality. At least AD doesn't have Family Guy's ADHD humour.

At this point, American Dad abandoned any light continuity since the Kisses episode, and Stan himself is mentally unstable. As long as it's funny, I don't care how many times he relearns his lessons.
