The irony is all this started cause Roger didn't have any special powers but as the series went on he gained a ton of special powers including basically being immortal.

Even at his most basic, even if you take away every special power and ability he has, he still has the power of disguise. I mean, his ability to impersonate as any sort of person seamlessly without fail is kind of amazing.
He can convince anybody that he is anybody. The only people who can see through his disguises are the people closest to him; the Smith family. And even still, sometimes they are fooled, as well. Roger has an ungodly ability to be somebody else.
Jordan Keller he is fire resistant, shock resistant, can’t drown, produces offspring off the side of his face, super speed, plus how has he not od lmao
What started out as Roger having diarrhea, it turned out to be one of the best sub-plots in the show's history.

The girl wasn’t the only one who could resist it. The cop was corrupted for a Little bit, but then was able to escape it because he had decent morals. His wife killed him, but he was still pure at heart

The transition from the women's faltering heart beat to the sons footsteps going up the stairs was actually very well done.
I remember thinking that as well. These micro episodes always drew me in with the mood and the animation and the music.

After watching this I desperatly want Seth MacFarlane and the american dad crew to do an action, crime and mistery adult cartoon one day. Like, so bad. This storyline had such an atention to detail and it trully felt like it could be in a drama, its amazing.
You should check out venture brothers. The two writers of that show put so much effort in to the characters, details, callbacks and (probably accidental) foreshadowing.

So I roughly calculated how much the turd is worth, Heres the break down.
Gold: there is roughly 2 cubic inches of gold in the turd when melted down into a cube, as such their is roughly 660 grams and that value in todays money is about $40,000.
Diamonds: I'm gonna assume that the diamounds are flawless and based on their size around 5 carats each. As such the high end a flawless white diamound can fetch $150,000, but since their diamound shaped they would need to be cut into 2 flawless 2 carat stones for use. based on the various scenes their appears to be 8 diamounds on the turd, each cut in 2 makes 16 2 carat stones each valued at roughly $40,000 each for a grand total of $640,000.
Emeralds: A flawless, perfect saturation and hued emerald can go for as much as $27,000 per carat, based on the size of the ones in the turd I'd say their all about 3 carats. Again assuming shaping and cutting you get 16 1 carat stones, and a total value of $432,000
Rubies: Rubies average around $3,000 per carat for top shelf high quality stones when cut. They can go for obscenely more if unique, but sticking with market values, and assuming the same formula for emeralds, their appear to be 8 rubies on the turd, cut into 2 carat stones, that gives a total of $48,000
Saphires: top shelf flawless deep blue saphires can go for 10,000 a carat. Their only appears to be 6 saphires, so same as rubies, cut they make 6 2 carat stones for a total of : $120,000
So added all together the grand total is: $1,280,000 roughly. now its probably more considering other circumstances, but this gives you an idea of the cash value these people are ruinging their lives over..... 1.3 million.

Maybe it is just seen as gold to the people that see it as a way to pass on its influence, like the way seeds are in (and on in the case of strawberries) fruits and vegetables so that animals will eat them and carry the seeds to other places to be planted, if that makes sense. That would explain why it starts glowing when people are around to see it it when they first see it and stopped glowing when that guy was shot, maybe? So it could be utterly worthless or invisible to certain people or to animals or on camera... after all, the two guys who shot the guy who shot the politician saw he had it in his hands but they didn't fight or kill each other over it, it just went under the couch until the cleaning lady found it. So they might've seen nothing. Maybe they were from the FBI and knew about its powers and wore special sunglasses, but that wouldn't make sense because why would they leave it there? They'd want to study it in a lab, weaponize it themselves, or secure it to avoid it causing any more harm. Unless they were observing people and allowing the public that interacted with the turd to be their guinea pigs and studying those who survived it in a lab. Reminds me of the ring in Lord of the Rings ( "my precioussssss"). Wow, I am waaay overthinking this cartoon reocurring gag, LMAO!
I like how Roger started with no powers and later on he can move faster than anyone can see, he can regenerate, float, go into dreams, he's immune to all human ailments and he's insanely resistant to heat and cold

Guys, I saw the last episode of the recent series and the Golden Turd saga has finally come full circle. American Dad is contracted to run on TBS for 2 more years. Wonder if the series will keep going after that?

@@tycer.3178 Funny you mentioned South Park because that is the one other long running adult animation series I still enjoy and I was going to bring it up anyway as you did Comedy Central. I'm seeing South Park through to the end and if it does get cancelled, I will be surprised considering the channel have ordered three more seasons of SP. To me, that Comedy Central mainstay (1997-Present) is still quality in spite of the serialized stories that eventually wore thin over time. While I will be sad to see American Dad go, at least I can say it had a good run.

Though it seems to have some kind of enchantment that brings out the greed in all without pure of heart. So even an old woman that was sweet and selfless 85% of her life, the fact that she's not 100% selfless means that the golden turd can still corrupt her. We all have a bit of greed in all of us, which is why it's probably rare to find anyone that is immune to the corrupting powers of the golden turd.

What I loved the most about the story line was how the cops wife said she wanted to retire with a nice home in Boca, and I absolutely loved when jesus pulled out the golden poop which they found at the battle of boca raton, I really like how much attention the writers paid to giving us one of the best sub plots ever

The golden turd is such a tragic story. It could have improved tons of people's lives if anyone had just decided to share it.
Nobody really ended up better off for having it, despite the wealth it offered them.

To this day I still wished they had made a post rapture American dad episode showing the events after jesus.defeated anti/nemo . I hope someone out there at least wrote a fanficiton about such an episode.

I love how the film changes its vibe during this story
The comedic timing of their running jokes in this series is unmatched. I really feel like the team for American Dad had a lot more passion than the team that works on Family Guy, which is crazy because so many of the artists overlap on both shows. Just a good example of the differences between a cash cow and a passion project.
