The South Africa and Namibia boarders looks so clean and beautiful.
Very Dry and Hot
I am a South African, but you have seen some areas that I have never seen before. Makes me want to go out buy a bike and do what you did. You gave me new respect for my country!
Your country is more beautiful than I ever knew. Thanks to Noraly for showing it to us.
I hear you. I'm American and she made me think about buying a cross motorcycle and go venture.
Just do it people. Don't overthink it, do it.
South Africa is the best country in the world
Jan. you could do it in a Toyota bakkie!
Itchy - You have taught me to love and appreciate even the most desolate landscapes!
Noraly, I am stunned at your travels. I am recent to your channel, a week or so, maybe a little more, but I can't stop watching. Today, when you are traveling the river bottom in Namibia, the terrain reminds me of the high desert here in Southern California, where my daughter lives. She lives in Newberry Springs, California, which is considered high desert and has a lot of volcanic rock around and springs below the ground. I AM an old granny now, but when I was young (late twenties) I had a neighbor and friend who was from Holland, and you remind me of her with your pretty accent and your blue eyes and beauty. I will be following you. I have subscribed and put my thumbs up on all your videos. Sandra Sherritt
I pray for your safe travels. You have more courage than I for sure.
What a truly amazing woman. I'll never get to places like these, nor do I have the courage or confidence to even consider doing what she does, so I can sit in my easy chair and watch with incredulity the places she goes. She is a true adventurer.
That’s certainly the road less traveled. Takes a lot of courage to travel alone in that vast landscape. Stay safe!
Courage?? or foolishness? . . . to travel safely, travel with at least one other and have a firearm handy for those "unsafe" moments on the trip.
I am amazed a young woman (Noraly) would be so naive to travel alone, I mean just breaking down (engine failure) in the vast wilderness with no cell coverage could be the end.
Brave, yes. Foolish, yes. Beautiful . . YES!!
@@munter10 She has a satellitephone
You are very courageous. ♥️🙏
@@munter10 tell me how you just get a firearms in those country and just passing borders with it Without any papers.
@@munter10 thats alright mate, you stay safe on your ass at home.
Lets pause here to admire the courage it takes to follow a trail like this across the wilderness where if something did happened it may be days before anyone might come by to help. Noraly is a true 1%'er.
What are you talking about, she is prepared for any problem, you just need a satellite phone. I dont believe she is going this by herself. I go out into the desert like this as long as you have communications and a GPS someone will come and get you. Though I would like to know what survival gear she has, eg how do you get water in the desert when its 50 deg c.
@@brucepad1019 you obviously haven’t watched her previous footage. Yes she does it all alone. No she hasn’t got a sat-phone (but she has got a cell phone, but hey, where’s the service hey?). So yes, she’s a 1%-er.
In South Africa you can get help within hours even in the wilderness
@@PatNetherlander>> She does carry a SAT phone. But it won't work every where in the world. Don't know if where she is there if it would work though.
Hello Noraly, a smile and a laughter in the morning made my day. During this pandemic i start to struggle with a depression and your positive thinking and attitude helps me a lot. This canyon ride and the dronage were outstanding, i think Namibia will surprise us also with a lot of beautyness. Stay save and healthy and as always keep the rubber to the road, greetings from Germany.
❤️
From Namibia and love seeing people appreciate the beauty of our country. You have major guts going on that trail alone.
Thank you for showing the world how beautiful Namibia is. Amazing!
When I see you turning off the 'road' and going down a small dirt track into nowhere in particular I think to myself 'oh hell no' ! But then you show us some incredible scenery and I realise why you look for those type of tracks !
I'd be especially wary in a country that has lions and such.
@@rnash999 Even baboons are scary in large numbers !
This looks like the road. No wait. Over there. You’re amazing Noraly.
Omg Namibia is STUNNING! the riverbed has an eerie colour and the surrounding mountains are mind blowing🙏 choice of music ❤️
I read that Namibia is the most beautiful of the African countries and also one of the safest. A beautiful diversity of cultures and languages. I've always wanted to go there, now I can vicariously explore its beauty!
Come to Namibia,we'll show you around
How can Namibia be so beautiful if it is diverse: Being diverse is not Namibian?
About safety, yes but about beauty: you could have a debate about that until the cows come home. The east African countries are more beautiful than the rest of Africa.
Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia.
@@fmbida I've been watching "Itchy Boots" for years. She's now in Madagascar. The scenery is stunning! She might be doing more west Africa next.
Murder rate surprisingly high in Namibia (5th highest out of 36 African countries per IndexMuni), not sure about safest. Looks like a beautiful country though.
We are so hooked on your channel!! Keep posting and always take care! My husband and I visited the African countries you are traveling in this season. We thought we saw so much but watching your journey is giving us a totally different view of these countries and beautiful people! Never can one experience all what you are experiencing, by traveling in luxury 😀. We travelled that way due to our age but you are letting us travel in "super" exciting way, for the young people we are at heart 😃
Yep.. lol
Always epic...
Wow
Namibia so dry, barren yet full of diversity. One of the most amazing places on earth. Enjoy your journey.
Hi NORALY !! It's unbelievable how courage you are to travel in an unknown country. You travel through the wilderness without civilization and completely alone. You have my respect.
Is there civilization inside the desert?🙄
Itchy boots thanks for allowing us to live our lives vicariously through your lens.
You're super woman
Love the trip
Watching from Sydney Australia
Apart from showing us Noraly's amazing adventure and really putting SA and Namibia on full display, this trip is also the best possible advertisement for Honda. I am so impressed with the reliability and durability of that little go-anywhere 250cc dual sport.
I am a Namibian , it truly is an amazing country. You should not actually go on those tracks allone , if you fall or get injured you might not see another car for a long time, thank you for visiting my lovely country.

A lesson in humanity - be kind to people, be polite, be respectful and go with the flow. Superb drone footage. Brave ride through that desolate canyon too. Thanks for all your efforts. Welcome to Namibia, enjoy and ride safe.
I love this video. I've been to Namibia a few times, but I've never seen Namibia on this particular route. Beautiful. Probably the most beautiful country in the world
Woow,thank you.
A huge desert, high temperatures, predator animals on the loose.
Noraly: Hooray, Namibia!!
FYI: Leopards can thrive in almost any environment and have been known to prey on people...
that desolate scene is worth more than the most expensive item yo have ever seen, you can almost feel that vast emptiness. It's the emptiness that we can relate to and only a few know it's value
@@donaldoehl7690 That's very rare. The most dangerous animals in Africa are the Mosquito (they can carry and transmit: Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya virus, Dengue fever, and Malaria). In addition, the Hippopotamus, the Nile Crocodile and the Puff Adder (a venomous snake) are also potentially very dangerous.
In fact nearly any wild animal is potentially dangerous. For example, elephants can be dangerous depending on how well (or not) they've been treated by people before. They're quite intelligent and really do have a great memory. Hence, if they've been mistreated in the past they can become aggressive towards anyone. However, it's uncommon. That said, their size and speed, up to 25 mph, make them inherently dangerous.
Big cats, for example Lions and Leopards, although potentially dangerous, are often wary of human beings and for good reason: They're often killed by them. The unwritten rules are: maintain a fair distance, don't stare at them (cats take that as threat and will often act in self-defense), And DO NOT feed them! (or any other wild animal). Doing so habituates them to people and they come to expect food. Even if one doesn't have any, although the cat doesn't know that. NOT Good!! Stare into the eyes of a house cat and see what happens. Hint: You better be wearing safety goggles. Little Ms. Priss may claw the s**t out of you! They really hate being stared at. And so do BIG cats.
I once saw a guy who was out of the vehicle taking photos of a Pride of Lions using a long telephoto lens. As in pointed directly at them which they didn't take kindly to. Hence, one of the females started to maneuver to his/our right in tall grass. She was stalking him while using the grass as cover. At that point I instructed him to put down the camera, at which point he turned his head to look at me while still pointing the camera at the lions. All of whom, were by then, starting back at him. Not us. Him! To them it wasn't a lens. It was a big eyeball, with two legs which they knew couldn't run very fast. At which point two of them stood up. They do so to get a better look and/or ready themselves to flee or defend themselves.
At that point I strongly suggested he get back in the vehicle. Which he did. I found it quite entertaining. Everyone else, not so much. Lesson learned.

Know this route oh so well, and been through that border crossing quite a number of times, last time being on the way to the Fish River Canyon. Epic video, and amazing scenery as always :D
Each Video you do makes me feel like I was there. Your editing is also well done!
I can’t believe how gutsy you are! Middle of nowhere, trying to find the Road vs. River... amazing. What an adventurer you are!
I wonder the cost of fuel, and how much air in your tires you drop to for sand; and I noticed a lack of road signage...that would drive me crazy having to guess the route!

Thanks Noraly. I loved this episode and the phenomenal drone sequence. BTW the formation of the landscape rising above and in front of you around video marker 15:20, with the bands/layers of colour were mesmerizing. The canyon with the dried up river bed was breathtaking with the landscape rising on both sides. My only fear was a flash flood in case it rained.
So far Namibia is interesting. Thanks for sharing some of the stats related to the population. Impressed with your constant research done every time prior to traveling.
Take care, have a great steam soak in the hot springs and ride safe. 🤟🏼🖖🏼
I would love to see water running through that canyon, flash flood did cross my mind. I wonder how many people pass through that border control annually? Noraly is very brave, but you don't think about danger when adventuring, if you did you would never accomplish anything. Everything is a calculated risk, and I think she has most events covered, she looks professional, in control and connected to the rest of the world, even if she does appear vulnerable in that vast and beautiful landscape.
