When these people heard about Noraly"s UA-cam channel...Of course they looked it up....And then called friends about her....I don't know this is true but it seems like human nature to me. Noraly"s patience and generosity of spirit would encourage kindness in others.
I have always been a sour butthead, so I know about these things....LOL

Having watched all of Noraly's adventures, my main take from these videos is that watching global news could make a person view some of these countries with suspicion. However, everywhere she goes, she is met with kindness, hospitality and respect (apart from the bike thieves of course). This makes me think people should watch more Itchy Boots and less news!

You'd be foolish to be disappointed by not getting a heart from Noraly. She spends such a great part of her day riding, a meal in the evening, and then hours of downloading video and editing it subsequently... how much time does that leave her in the remainder of the day to read the thousands of comments that are left here?
With each such video post, she probably, most of the time, only has time to look at the comments once, and if your comment doesn't happen to be one of the first 50 to 100 (if she even has time to read that many) that she sees, one's comment no matter how good it may be, is likely never going to be seen.
The odds of her stumbling upon your comment I would suspect to be very low, it's all about chance.

In Iran and Iraq, just tell them that your name is "Noor-Ali"
Make sure that you pause for a millisecond between Noor and Ali.
They will love you even more and some may go crazy in appreciation.
"Noor" in Arabic means "light", and "Ali" is the most revered saint in Islam in both countries (especially in Shiite Iran and Shiite Iraq south of Baghdad).
The phrase means "the light of Ali", which will sound good and impressive to them.
"Noor" is also a girl's name. Like Queen Noor (wife of late King Hussein of Jordan).

After all the numerous border crossings you have gone through for the past 5 years, this one made me nervous because I can hear you breathing hard. We are still very concerned how your lung is after your operation and we know you had difficulty breathing while you were healing. You're been through a lot since Erbil in Iraq and we know its so hard to rest one's mind in finding ways to repair Frankie or even replace the broken GPS you had. We understand how you feel you are having a brain fog with all the stress you've had plus you did go through anesthesia from your operation and that does meddle the mind. But we are with you, Noraly. If I was a woman, I would be hesitant to go into any countries that treat women as lowly possessions. Forcing them to put a rag on their head is, in my opinion, very demeaning.
Watching all of the chaotic check stations, and the hundreds of trucks with HUGE trailers sitting for what must be hours at every border is scary to me. I am a male, and I would not have enough courage to go through these countries. Just one check point after another. There seems to be very little organization to these places. It is a shame too, because once you finely get through the maze of check points with everyone wanting to see your passport and other papers, the people that actually live there are friendly and helpful.
I watch with amazement as Noraly just continues on. I will stick to my country. At least I understand everyone here, and there are no check stations. With the exception of California. But then I would expect them to make it difficult.

As an African growing in rural areas, I can relate to this strange generosity. First and farmost is to pass a message that "hey, we are human beings who are still intact in our values despite what the Western propaganda spread about us. We love people, and we appreciate strangers for visiting our isolated areas." Actually what you are doing you are not only showing us this beautiful places. Don’t wanna burst your bubble mate but thousands of motorcyclists, cyclists etc traverse Iran every year. They just don’t video it all. I went through Iran in 2003 on a Blue Tenere. The most welcoming and helpful people you could ever meet. Unfortunately the stereotypes impressed upon western cultures through propaganda has created a certain vision as to the expectations.

Not sure which bubble you refer to mate. As a 7 year sub I've seen all of her vids, including the first time in Iran, where the people were spectacularly accepting and friendly. And I've seen others travel there by bike as well. What I was referring to by 'famous' was all the pics the Border guys were taking... not to mention that this was her second visit. And yes, the stereotypes are unfortunate, but she has helped expose them in many countries.

This is how the USA messed up Iraq. And EU played along. In the North you have a self governing region which is called "Iraqi Kurdistan" and issues own visa which the South (Iraq) does not accept. But also southern Iraq is too weak to have that settled by law enforcement. Now people who travel through North Iraq have to travel through Iran with their vehicle to enter Southern Iraq. Divide and rule. That's the messed up situation.
