*_It is so enjoyable to watch a skilled artisan fix something like this. And he has all the needed tools too which helps. Thank you for this great video._*
From the beginning until now you have gained much skill in restoration. It's not an easy job, but I am sure you do not look at it as a job but as an enjoyment. Taking something that many would consider junk or too far gone to bring back. I am glad to see there are many like you who still see it's worth saving. We will never see the workmanship and details in today's toys like they were back then.
I always look forward to these restoration videos. They’re so satisfying! Thanks for preserving another piece of history! Please restore the camper next! I’d love to see how it turns out!!
Yep. I bought one for my young son in the early 80s and I could not bring myself to get rid of it. I still have it. Fond memories of my little five year old making realistic fire sirens...the neighbors would come out looking for the fire! 😊🚒
Awesome video it's so satisfying to watch you restore these cool old metal cars I haven't seen you post a full length video in a while you should restore that blue camper truck next
In 1961 i was riding my Tonka lorry or tonka crane down a half mile tarmac lane of about 40 degrees slope made a lot of noise shook a fair bit only had to watch for an occasional tractor but a lot of fun. Eventually wore the wheels away.
I had the white wrecker when I was a kid after I I found it under my parents house where I grew up recently, windshield was gone, was kinda rough, friend of mine gave me $40 for it!!
One minor criticism: I would have spend a little more time on the running boards. Even a cheap set of Harbor Freight metal shaping hammers could made those runners look straight and new.
It looks like instead of just re painting the toys, he powder coats them. It gives them a hard and more durable finish so the toys may be used by young kids once again.
Awesome Video Joe DIY!!
There you are Chip. I hope you're doing well!
Outstanding job! I vote for the pickup truck 🛻👍
Dang, this thing has SO many pieces.
Another great restoration. Looks perfect. I’m going to vote for the blue camper truck.😁

The camper! And great work. Nothing is like a Tonka Truck.
Yep. I bought one for my young son in the early 80s and I could not bring myself to get rid of it. I still have it. Fond memories of my little five year old making realistic fire sirens...the neighbors would come out looking for the fire! 😊🚒

Like new, you sure got it shined up nice and all the trim loos great! Either project would be great but I really dig the camper, it’s really neat!!!
Awesome Tonka, nicely done.👍
The camper looks more challenging.😂
When I was kid we used a Tonka dump truck as a doly moving a 8 foot viking depfrez that truck held it good.
Excelente!!!
CAMPER 👌👌👌
Bitte den Camper, der ist wesentlich interessanter 😊👍🏻
Definitely the camper.
Yep, the camper!
The pick up 👍🏻🇻🇪👏
💯 % the camper 👍
Anything today doesn't comper to the quality back then.
Haven't seen an upload from you in a while. Great Tonka restoration as usual!
How many Tonka trucks has this dude saved? I’ve lost count… 😌👍
In 1961 i was riding my Tonka lorry or tonka crane down a half mile tarmac lane of about 40 degrees slope made a lot of noise shook a fair bit only had to watch for an occasional tractor but a lot of fun. Eventually wore the wheels away.
I really enjoy watching your channel. Question: WHAT IS THE OLDEST TOY THAT YOU'VE EVER RESTORED?
Cool 😊
I like any red car 😆
Awesome
My vote is for the camper van.
Yes ❤😂
That red stepside pickup. You should turn that into a fire command vehicle.
Do the camper next.
❤❤❤❤❤
Blue Camper next
Truck and camper next.
Great
Camper next, please!
Where did you find the new axles and the keeper for axle? Where did you buy the C clamp for the rivets?
Camper next please
The camper for sure!
Yes the camper for sure!
60 years later the fire engine is solid enough to be restored. None of the toys made today will be restored. They don't make 'em like they used to.
The camper. No question.
Restore the camper next, please.
❤❤❤🌼🌼🌼

Where do get your decals ?
I had the white wrecker when I was a kid after I I found it under my parents house where I grew up recently, windshield was gone, was kinda rough, friend of mine gave me $40 for it!!
Rescue and Restore actually has the same firetruck.
I think the camper, where are you getting the replacement parts? I have a couple I want to restore.
Gasolinealleytoys.com
I would love to to some restorations. My question is where do you find all of these new parts?
gasolinealleytoys.com has the vast majority of parts you'll need for any project
@@joe_diy😊more videos
could you do some old tractors i loved them when i was young but i never saw one in near mint condition
I vote for the camper?

Please restore the truck with the camper

Would I dare say that this is my homework?
Why not both?
