Wow, I'm blown away with this custom build, I wish Tonka would have had the foresight to have done it back in the day, truly enjoyable, and maybe this project will make other restoration guys envious lol
Another spectacular resto. And finally a custom; perfect. Nice to see a custom in these restos! How about a Tonka camper truck resto/custom! Cheers, Geoff
My dear Joe, Of all the toy remodeling sites, you are currently the most creative on the board. What you do is not done elsewhere. Congratulations on your talent and your imagination to create unique toys that no one has ever seen! A + for you ...👌
Sir u did a amazing job on that toy sir WOW it looks bad ass sorry but it is a awesome restoration sir perfectly restored 👍👍👍👍👍👍 one 💯💯💯💯💯 percent beautiful sir 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Beautiful job !!! only flaw I seen was that you didn't make the rear tandem tires on truck pivet like they do on the trailer. Still a beautiful job great imagination
An aftermarket creation of what Tonka never marketed in 1957. The dome 🚨 is Amber, Not Red which is the appropriate color. Only Fire-Medical-Police vehicles are to have a red dome roof 🚨 light. I am glad that someone sees it
Hey Joey I love it but wondered if you could have used some old hubcaps not able to shine and painted them as they were on some of the old wheels that had those spoked axles maybe used paint markers and a nice single exhaust stack would been nice maybe used a tired crane spool and handle from a wrecker to made a winch behind the cab got the chain stainless steel jewelry chain to be able to pull equipment that broke down
Love the restoration may I suggest a few ideas I thought you might used some wood grain paper and cut into strips and maybe made this into 2 parts the next a small dozer of construction equipment to be put on and chains to chain it down and found red and white for trailer lights and taillights on the trucks
Thanks! Tonka was always a year behind the real ford F series. So in 57 they were making a 56 and they didn't switch over to the new body style until 58
Really nice custom! Curious how the fifth wheel and the fuel tanks are attached….just friction fit? Now you could go one step further and put custom wood decking on the trailer🍺
Instead of “Pimp My Ride”, we got Trick Out My Tonka!!!
Awesome job!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's one Tonka should have made! Great job!
Love the old school pin stripping on the hood. Awesome job.
Thanks! Going to try it again on some other projects
You have put together the perfect setup! A tractor with a winch and a Lowboy, Well Done!
This was never made because they didn't have you to show them the value of the vehicle. Well done sir. Thanks for sharing. 👍😁🇨🇱🇺🇸
Wow, I'm blown away with this custom build, I wish Tonka would have had the foresight to have done it back in the day, truly enjoyable, and maybe this project will make other restoration guys envious lol
I'm shocked the didn't. They had all the parts available already. That long frame is used on a bunch of other truck models.
Except for the winch to nowhere.
I've seen quite a few such videos. But building a new vehicle from old and new parts really impressed me. A masterpiece! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The custom builds are always so much fun!
They are!
Beautiful restoration. Love the black trailer and frame on the truck.
That turned out very well. Correct blacked out chassis and custom built. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice work on the truck cab. Create something Tonka did Not create back in the day

Wow, thanks! TRG restorations and Earl's Repair & Restore have done some great customs worth checking out!
Awesome video Joe, outstanding Job on the build !!!!
Way cool, Joe! Great work and great imagination, too, coming up with something that was never made. Keep up the great work!! 😁👍

Good looking truck, well done! The touch of pin striping on the hood is very nice! Thanks for the entertainment, good job!🤓👍
One of the best toy restorations yet! JP3
Thanks!
You Sir, are a true craftsman. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you kindly!
Great Work!!!👍
Great refabrication of some old parts and new fabrication of parts! 👍🏻 Enjoyed the dry run, giving the viewers the layout… good stuff! Very cool 😎 📸🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
Joe, je hebt weer een knap staaltje geleverd. Een schitterend voorbeeld van restauratie en customising.
Impressive! Thank you for posting.
That trailer looks good with truck .
We modelers call this "kit bashing." You give the term new meaning with a lovely creation! How's about showing us your collection from time to time.
I really need to make a video of the collection!
Very nice object well done.
Nice job creating one 😎 semi out of a mishmash of parts!!
You can build the engine to make the model work. That's a great idea
You had my 100% of my attention from start to end. Well done!! Great job!!
Glad to hear it!
Nice job
Absolutely amazing custom!

Really good job dude! Hopefully you can do something like that again.
I'm planning to do more customs soon!
@@joe_diy Sweet! I'll look forward to it.

Excellent job and beautiful work. Love the Customs!!
Ottimo progetto... Ciao amico mio. Il mio saluto viene dal Italia...👏👋
Great job 👌👌👌
Thanks a lot 😊
What a masterpiece! If I understood correctly, this model does not exist in the TONKA range ... it's a shame it would have been a great success.
Correct, there are some similar customs out there but Tonka never made a tandem tractor
@@joe_diy interesting info 🤗
I'm at a loss for words. 😳 I LOVE IT
Glad!
Awesome brother , I love it !!
Nice job!

Hey Joe

Eyy that's epic
Thanks!
SUPER 👌👌👌👌👌

EXCELENTE
Thanks!
Very cool!
Felicitaciones por el buen trabajo 🇵🇪
All it needs now is taillights and a piece of heavy machinery to go onto the trailer! 😃👍
14:12 It was worth cutting a place for the movement of the third axis. You have made the suspension locked and the rear wheels cannot move. Why?
Awesome!!

Perfect Franken-Truck for Halloween month, well done Joe. :)
Thank you very much!
Restaurar é uma arte... customizar é legal demais 😀🇧🇷.
You might been able to cut popsicles sticks as planks for the decks and used jewelry chain as chain downs
Nice rig & lowboy trailer. What are you going to put on the lowboy trailer 🤔
loved the build. Is there a reason you didn't trim the frame of the truck wo that the rear axels would articulate?
Now that's a boss rig! What is it going to tow!
I haven't decided yet. I'd really like to find a dragline for it.
Good question.
Muito bom. Parabéns. Excelente

brilliant
Who knew Tonka trucks could be so easily modded? (But then these are the pressed metal, old-school toys; so it’s a given…) 🤓
Looks great!! What no red trailer lights hahaha You did a excellent job restoring it
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks! I actually bought them but they were too small. I'm not sure what is supposed to fit the hole size.
❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great job, but it's a 56 Ford, this was the last year of that body style, I drive a 54 F100 and you can paint it.
Thanks! Tonka was always a year behind the real ford F series. So in 57 they were making a 56 and they didn't switch over to the new body style until 58
I have the same trailer if you flip the trunnion plates for the axles the trailer sets level.
Great adaptations. Too bad you didn't have a windshield
I know! Unfortunately they never made one for this generation of Tonka trucks and it would be a heck of a time to make one
You should've made templates of those tandem plates and winch so you can make your own in future!😏
Next time! I think I have others around somewhere.
ahh, rusted metal toys from the 1940s to the 1970s. they even came with the Tetanus DLC
No rust no fun!
Really nice custom! Curious how the fifth wheel and the fuel tanks are attached….just friction fit? Now you could go one step further and put custom wood decking on the trailer🍺
The fifth wheel is kind of clipped on with the tabs. The fuel tank is attached with the same screw holding down the winch doing through the fame.
Great job! Was it difficult getting the pin stripes on?
Nah, it was a waterslide decal. Nothing too crazy
Nice restoration but you forgot to put a front windshield in it bcause it has a dashboard in it
😌
:)
@@joe_diy thank you very much thank you very much thank you very very very much 🎂
Where did you get the lowboy thanks Tommy
Looks almost real.
Where did you get the desull trailer?
what is your blast media? Tonka rivet tool LINK is dead
