Ok guys big spoiler alert for those who haven’t finished ultra sun or ultra moon yet. My theory is regarding ultra necrozmas z-move so when the player character finishes the dance for ultra necrozmas z-move he/she goes into a weakened state. This doesn’t happen with any other z-move so I think that necrozma is intentionally stealing the characters life force to activate its z-move or rather stealing the characters light. Hybridhero if you could cover this theory and go into more detail about it I would very much appreciate it.
actually, your 100% correct, if you watch, you see light orbs coming out of the trainer. Ultra Necrozma, takes everything, balls it up, and destroys with it. Your trainer gets its life-force stolen by Necrozma, because you chose to use the Z-move. This Z-move animation shows Necrozma's dark intentions.

I personally think that even thought mega evolving is painful asf, the pokemon bears through it because they trust their trainer (except for salamence, gengar, etc). next i suppose gamefreak will make z-moves dark and creepy. theyre probably gonna tell us that zmoves violently spew from all the pores of a pokemons skin or something.
They already told us that Z-moves are bad. Not only they are taking trainer's life force (just look at the strongest Z-Move done by Ultra Necrozma), but the whole Z-Power comes from the stolen light of Ultra Megalopolis. People are living their whole lifes in darkness when we are having fun with our hula dances.

Mega Evolution is soooo much beter than Z-moves. Why the hell would Gamefreak wan to get rid of it?! I love Mega Evolution. It gave Pokemon like Mawile, Sableye, Absol, Ampharos and others s second chance at being good. Mawile is a perfect example, it was in the PU tier, the lowest tier and even then, a tiered battle it WAS STILL never chosen. Garbodor has seen more use than normal Mawile and that's saying something. Take away Mega Evolution, and you effectively go back to square one. Z-moves won't help Mawile, Sableye and others, because Z-moves use the Pokemon's stats, so if a Pokemon's stats suck to begin with, it won't mean much. #MegaEvolution

Rotom is sulking, because people forgot about most of its forms almost after they were released - and it also probably won't get its own mega because it does have those forms.
Pay attention to mega glailie's dex entry. "It's *broken* jaw" When glalie mega evolves, it's jaw violently rips open, breaks, and freezes over into place. It bassicaly breaks itself, and then sets the bone improperly and freezes it over.
I'm starting to really hate everyone in the Hoenn league One of them uses a creature so intimidating it kills people that look at it, one of them has their cute little gem demon have its chest ripped open, one of them literally forces their Pokemon to break its jaw, one of them melts their Salamence's wings together, and the champion has many things wrong with him (ORAS lore stuff about Devon generally being fucked up+the Delta Episode explains why) but... Sending out a canonically sadistic giant clawed supercomputer against your enemies is just not a nice thing to do.

I think that both concepts will be combined into *one* in the next generation. This new concept called “Mega Z evolution” would allow mega Pokémon to use signature Z moves as their final attack. Similar to the final smashes in Smash Bros.
I just realized that Absol gets wings when it mega evolves maybe because it's symbolizing that the pokemon is a type of dark angel. If that's the case, how did it take this long for me to notice?

Guys, rotom doesn't hate Kalos/mega evolution. It's just that mega evolution hasn't been very well researched. The animé also backs this up. When Korrina first mega evolved lucario, he went berserk! And acted very simmilar to one of its mega entries, after a while, Korrina and lucario could control their mega evolution. The dex entries are probably taken from pokémon who are not used to mega evolution.

Hybridhero I’m sorry to keep asking you about this, but I have a theory about necrozma and because it’s been over a week since the release is it ok for me to tell you about my theory?
I mean. When you think about it these descriptions perfectly explain why Mega Evolutions aren’t permanent. They’re painful and even permanently debilitating in the long run if you’re not careful. Lots of entries seem to follow this trend of the amount of strain the Pokémon go through when Mega evolving. Heracross has to constantly vent heat from its shell while Mega Evolved just so it can keep fighting.
After reading Mega Lucario Dec entries, I never mega evolved him again. My normally sweet darling Pokemon turned into a monster. No wonder Korrina's turned crazy.
That is entirely true, but as also with Korrina's, when she became much better friends with it, it was able to control its urge, thus the reason you need to have max friendship with riolu in order to evolve it, and also kinda makes since with the mega evolution.

Rotom is sulking, because people forgot about most of its forms almost after they were released - and it also probably won't get its own mega because it does have those forms.
Why are so many of these dex entries about mega's constantly saying they are in pain, do they not want them to mega evolve?

When glalie mega evolves, it's jaw violently rips open, breaks, and freezes over into place. It bassicaly breaks itself, and then sets the bone improperly and freezes it over.

I'm starting to really hate everyone in the Hoenn league
One of them uses a creature so intimidating it kills people that look at it, one of them has their cute little gem demon have its chest ripped open, one of them literally forces their Pokemon to break its jaw, one of them melts their Salamence's wings together, and the champion has many things wrong with him (ORAS lore stuff about Devon generally being fucked up+the Delta Episode explains why) but... Sending out a canonically sadistic giant clawed supercomputer against your enemies is just not a nice thing to do.
I think gen 8 will remove the dark mega entries from the list. Cause they only serve 1 purpose, remove megas from the spotlight.

I think that both concepts will be combined into *one* in the next generation. This new concept called “Mega Z evolution” would allow mega Pokémon to use signature Z moves as their final attack. Similar to the final smashes in Smash Bros.

Guys, rotom doesn't hate Kalos/mega evolution. It's just that mega evolution hasn't been very well researched. The animé also backs this up. When Korrina first mega evolved lucario, he went berserk! And acted very simmilar to one of its mega entries, after a while, Korrina and lucario could control their mega evolution. The dex entries are probably taken from pokémon who are not used to mega evolution.

Mega Pokemon nightmare
I mean. When you think about it these descriptions perfectly explain why Mega Evolutions aren’t permanent. They’re painful and even permanently debilitating in the long run if you’re not careful. Lots of entries seem to follow this trend of the amount of strain the Pokémon go through when Mega evolving. Heracross has to constantly vent heat from its shell while Mega Evolved just so it can keep fighting.

Personally, I love Absol! Ever since it was first introduced in the game and anime, it's been one of my favorite Pokémon. Along with Seviper.
After reading Mega Lucario Dec entries, I never mega evolved him again. My normally sweet darling Pokemon turned into a monster. No wonder Korrina's turned crazy.
That is entirely true, but as also with Korrina's, when she became much better friends with it, it was able to control its urge, thus the reason you need to have max friendship with riolu in order to evolve it, and also kinda makes since with the mega evolution.
Draginlock not to mention Korrina’s Lucario was overall STRONGER once they mastered mega evolution, leading me to seriously doubt Mega Absol would be capable of killing faint hearted people even if its mega evolution was spotty.

In order to mega evolve a Pokémon the bond between the trainer and their Pokémon needs to be great,strong,powerful,and unbreakable,along with the key and mega stone.That combination of great power allows the Pokémon to mega evolve.In a Pokémon movie they have force evolution which makes the Pokémon mega evolve without the wonderful bond between them and the Pokémon,this made me angry that people would do this to Pokémon,considering how painful it must have been for them,but I was glad that it was put to an end.Mega evolution is completely different it is a combination of the Pokémon’s trust and bond with its trainer both the trainers and the Pokémon’s formed into a mighty being.Therefore together they fight as one,in my opinion mega evolution makes the bond between Pokémon and their trainer better,stronger,and greater.

My theory is that because you need your Pokémon to have a strong bond with your trainer to achieve Mega Evolution successfully. Your Pokémon will endure this pain, but not be bothered because they know that their trainer has faith in it.
We’ve seen it in the anime, korrina tried mega evolution on lucario, but exactly like what the mega dex said “it’ll strike enemies without mercy”, it was a problem, until the bond is there.
A popular theory that I came across on the internet is that the closer you are to your pokemon the better they can control themselves during mega evolution
You know what I think! There trying to get mega EV. Out of our minds so we don't want to use them any more,sure these may be true,but are all pokedexs info the same in all games? No! These things my have happened to one of these pokemon,but every Pokémon Is not the same! Think about this the next time you dis. A mega pokemon,maybe that pokemon is not ready for mega EV. Absol is one if my favorite Pokemon and I always feel bad whenever its misunderstood. So I take care of my Absol whenever I catch one.
For Mega Metagross, when it says explosion. The Pokedex doesn't directly say that it uses the move Explosion. Maybe it uses a very powerful move to destroy the opponent as an 'exlosion'.
