Yes, it would be nice. However, the job of a police officer is to protect the law(s) and serve under them. Often the laws they are protecting and serving under are laws that protect people in various ways, that’s where a lot of people misinterpret the protect and serve.

And let’s tell the truth- 12 hr shifts can quickly turn into 16 hrs under stress circumstances, like 2 pt’s are crashing & someone calls in at the last min…so you really do have 2 FT jobs!!! I love how the police support you. And those are called ‘thinning scissors’.

The key was that you present yourself well. Well groomed, well spoken, respectful and quickly responding to his knocking got you off on the right foot. With the rash of Auditors trying to embarrass cops I'm sure he was expecting a song and dance. Plus he had already ran your license plate number and knew who you were.
Plus your skin color didn't trigger him. But the hair style might have; you are taking a big risk with that. [Patients, many UA-cam viewers, and potential girlfriends may find it off-putting, too.] And the car was ritzy and clean enough to be acceptable to him in his self-perceived position as your superior. But if the cop had been jealous of your lifestyle, or having a bad or frustrated day, none of that would have mattered. You still could have found yourself up a tree without a ladder, or up a creek without a paddle. Do you enjoy courting danger? Maybe in your chosen career too? Is it "my way AND the highway"?
When I was homeless living in a van in the early 2000s, I was going to school and pretty broke. I got approached by the cops and the first thing I did was ask him if they wanted to see it. After that they pretty much took care of me and made sure that I was okay often driving by the parking lot I was living in just to ward off the evil spirits. LOL

Nursing is such a noble profession. All the best with that. I love your living setup in your car. I’ve had to drive my worldly possessions around in my car for a few months one year, but friends let me stay with them whilst I found myself a place to live. If I’d had a van that was equipped for living in I might still be living in it!!❤
Just found your videos. I'm a retired nurse and I remember the stress of school. I took the summer off before I started working in a hospital. I loved the fast pace and stress of a busy floor. I used to think about doing what you're doing but I had a family. Enjoy yourself before you start working as a nurse because you'll be so busy. Good nurses are so valuable and are needed so badly now.

That was so cool. It was great to see your interaction with the police, and I'm glad it went well for you. My son lived in a van parked across from a police station in San Francisco, and it was fine too. He's an easy going guy like you, and saved a small fortune not paying rent. He (and many people like you on UA-cam) inspired me to build out a tiny Nissan NV200 van when I retired, and I travelled around the USA visiting family and friends. Mostly staying in state parks, or parking in driveways of people I know. It was a fabulous experience. I just "graduated" to a travel trailer in an RV park. A bit more room is nice. Have no desire to go back to apartment living. Thank you for making your videos. I'm looking forward to watching more of them (and I won't skip the ads ;)
I'm about to find out :). I bought the trailer in an RV park and moved into it. I'm about to take my first trip with it next month. But basically I plan to park it and leave it in a inexpensive long term RV place like it's an apartment. When I travel I'll be taking shorter trips in the van. @@asmradventureasmr

As you answer questions a law enforcement officer can pick up nervousness, truthfulness, general attitudes. Your easygoing manner told him what he needed to know.

Hello. My 1st watch. Fun to watch you cook. (I did stay in an Astro mini van 18 years ago to attend college. Used mattress off fold out couch, put an ice chest between front seats as pulled benches out. Did this to save gas as 190 mile round trip. Nights on Mon, Wed. Home Fridays. Cooler helped w/ice,H2O, lunch meat, etc. Folded my blankets n pillows up like a couch to lounge n study quiet in place like church lots. Really did help the gas, no hotel budget.) Wise to park where you did. Can’t tell from outside. Once parked on big strip store lot. Quick decision to sleep over & had huge comforter in back to cover self on bench. But mid of night, men tried to break in. But heard one say, “I don’t see anything in there to take. While you sweep off this lot, I’ll go and check other cars over there .” Scared the stuff out of me. So please be careful….. God bless you.

I finally got my window covers. Love being able to sleep comfortably without feeling like people are looking in on me. I work nights and sometimes haven't had a nap or good sleep throughout the day. So, I just pull into my 24-hour gym, pop in the window covers and 😴😴😴😴
I love when people walk into the hotel i work at and ask me if it's okay that they park in the back and get rest, and i'll say sure. Knowing is better then not knowing

Oh, make something that starts with a Cuban sofrito (onions, garlic and green pepper) like picadillo. I am married to a Cuban. And this was the first dish I learned to cook for my husband. I’m an American girl from the Midwest. I can SMELL when neighbors are cooking Cuban food several houses away😂

Great video. I'm researching/learning. Ill be a little old for this, but as a retired nurse/military/mom, I have the right mindset and can put up with going without some things. I no longer look forward to taking care of my little farm in the dead of winter, so I plan to sell everything, and travel. I will bother my children during the winter or travel south perhaps, but I look for to a new kind of freedom. I will be traveling with a dog and my old cat until she is no longer around. I could never be completely without my animal friends. Ill miss the goats and chickens, and will have to board my horse... a lot of things to consider.... Thanks for all the good ideas and the dry humor. 🤓 ❤
Arslan I'm a short time subscriber but could help with a train of thought. With all the idle hours on your car I'd run full synthetic oil and do oil change every 3000 miles. The break down of the oil with all the idle hours could have been what killed the suburban. Cheers buddy looking forward to more vids. I envy your lifestyle!

Dude I’m a new travel ICU nurse (1yr doing it), 6yrs as an RN, with an ‘18 Mustang and I’m thinking of sleeping in my car sometimes to save money and drive to states for contracts and save money. I just don’t know if my car is reliable enough to drive around the country with it, but I should try it. But your car is even older than mine so it gives me hope I can make it work.
Love your videos but I understand how it feels to have a steady income. I don’t know why you don’t have millions of subscribers because your content is awesome and I love how real you are! I will definitely keep watching!! I also just asked my husband to take me out for lobster dinner this week! 😂

Love your setup and so glad you got your lobster! Sharing a hack for stealth camping: Buy unscented baby wipes and pour 70% isopropyl alcohol into the package right over the wipes. Store the package in a gallon ziploc. I clean my dishes just like you do but I take it a step further by wiping them down with these alcohol wipes as a last step. Would work fantastic on your sink, stove, trash can, window covers, etc. Not only does it disinfect, it helps keep smells at bay! Don’t use on leather or wood surfaces (strips sealants). I know they sell alcohol wipes, but most have bleach and other chemicals I don’t want on my hands or food surfaces. This way you control how wet your wipes are too so you’ve got enough alcohol to clean your surfaces. Happy camping!

I see you predicted the comment section saying something like Roll your window down. But here is a new: FIRE HAZARD! By this time I could make a compilation of honest campers showing bloopers when that type of camping stove or anything with open flame caught fire as the seal or the canister or the regulator failed. The difference is that those people were cooking outside and so they live to tell the tale. Do a fire drill, just to see if you have any way out if the seal would fail and the open flame would make the thing burst all the gas inside the car. I'd venture that even in a van it would be a major event, but in a sports car the interior is so small the flames don't even need to be big to catch something flammable including your clothing. Please man, for your own safety switch to something safer like an induction plate. (boiling water still has its dangers, but it won't explode into your face)

I think this is awesome! I live in a tiny house on wheels with a total of 278 square feet. My only downside is that I don't have a actual oven or a actual washer. I went from 1800 square feet down to 278. It was a huge struggle for me. I have no idea how you can live this small, but my hat is off to you!!!

I just watched your where cops want you to sleep video from 3 months ago, and I have a sandwich suggestion for you. You made pita with mozzarella, tomatoes, and cucumbers in that video. That made me think of this ... (my daughter came up with it) Soft sourdough bread Basil paste (found in the refrigerated produce section) Mustard Alfalfa sprouts Tomato Mozzarella cheese (exactly the same kind you used in that video) Mayo Put mustard & basil paste on bread, layer the veggies & cheese in the order listed above. End with a little mayo on the other piece of bread. You can also add some chicken lunch meat after the mozzarella if you'd like but you really won't taste it. The basil combined with all the veggies is so flavorful and fresh tasting that it's the bulk of the flavor and it's really good.
Bro I wanna do this at some point but with a bus. I've seen a guy and his friends redesign a bus into a tiny home before and it looked amazing. The layout probably wouldn't be as nice as how they did it, but I'd probably put a bed in the back, bolt it down, have a desk and chair bolted to the ground for a gaming setup, have a counter locked down more near the front that would have a working faucet, stove, oven, and dishwasher, and in the middle I'd have a little shower room and I'd make a drain system, a water system that I could fill manually, and I'd make some space behind the bed to put a generator in to power stuff, and I'd also use solar panels on the roof. To go to the bathroom I'd probably just drive to a public restroom or walk.

The key was that you present yourself well. Well groomed, well spoken, respectful and quickly responding to his knocking got you off on the right foot. With the rash of Auditors trying to embarrass cops I'm sure he was expecting a song and dance. Plus he had already ran your license plate number and knew who you were.
Plus your skin color didn't trigger him. But the hair style might have; you are taking a big risk with that. [Patients, many UA-cam viewers, and potential girlfriends may find it off-putting, too.] And the car was ritzy and clean enough to be acceptable to him in his self-perceived position as your superior. But if the cop had been jealous of your lifestyle, or having a bad or frustrated day, none of that would have mattered. You still could have found yourself up a tree without a ladder, or up a creek without a paddle. Do you enjoy courting danger? Maybe in your chosen career too? Is it "my way AND the highway"?

in South Africa if you travelling by car or truck drivers or van deliveries its prudent to sleep by police station its just safer. Its encouraged.

Once I slept in an empty jail cell in Nelspruit.

When I was homeless living in a van in the early 2000s, I was going to school and pretty broke. I got approached by the cops and the first thing I did was ask him if they wanted to see it. After that they pretty much took care of me and made sure that I was okay often driving by the parking lot I was living in just to ward off the evil spirits. LOL

I’ve had to drive my worldly possessions around in my car for a few months one year, but friends let me stay with them whilst I found myself a place to live. If I’d had a van that was equipped for living in I might still be living in it!!❤
Just found your videos. I'm a retired nurse and I remember the stress of school. I took the summer off before I started working in a hospital. I loved the fast pace and stress of a busy floor. I used to think about doing what you're doing but I had a family. Enjoy yourself before you start working as a nurse because you'll be so busy. Good nurses are so valuable and are needed so badly now.

That was so cool. It was great to see your interaction with the police, and I'm glad it went well for you. My son lived in a van parked across from a police station in San Francisco, and it was fine too. He's an easy going guy like you, and saved a small fortune not paying rent. He (and many people like you on UA-cam) inspired me to build out a tiny Nissan NV200 van when I retired, and I travelled around the USA visiting family and friends. Mostly staying in state parks, or parking in driveways of people I know. It was a fabulous experience. I just "graduated" to a travel trailer in an RV park. A bit more room is nice. Have no desire to go back to apartment living. Thank you for making your videos. I'm looking forward to watching more of them (and I won't skip the ads ;)

I'm about to find out :). I bought the trailer in an RV park and moved into it. I'm about to take my first trip with it next month. As you answer questions a law enforcement officer can pick up nervousness, truthfulness, general attitudes. Your easygoing manner told him what he needed to know.

Hello. My 1st watch. Fun to watch you cook. (I did stay in an Astro mini van 18 years ago to attend college. Used mattress off fold out couch, put an ice chest between front seats
as pulled benches out. Did this to save gas as 190 mile round trip. Nights on Mon, Wed. Home Fridays. Cooler helped w/ice,H2O, lunch meat, etc. Folded my blankets n pillows up like a couch to lounge n study quiet in place like
church lots. Really did help the gas, no hotel budget.) Wise to park where you did. Can’t tell from outside. Once parked on big strip store lot. Quick decision to sleep over & had huge comforter in back to cover self on bench. But mid of night, men tried to break in. But heard one say, “I don’t see anything in there to take. While you sweep off this lot, I’ll go and check other cars over there .” Scared the stuff out of me. So please be careful….. God bless you.
Hun, don’t get discouraged if your views go down from time to time, especially in the summer time. Your not the first UA-camr that has mentioned this. I personally think it has to do with the time of year. Just keep bringing us video’s, we here, your subscribers love ya…myself, I’m very proud of you for what you have achieved/accomplished. I finally got my window covers. Love being able to sleep comfortably without feeling like people are looking in on me. I work nights and sometimes haven't had a nap or good sleep throughout the day. So, I just pull into my 24-hour gym, pop in the window covers and 😴😴😴😴

Great video. I'm researching/learning. Ill be a little old for this, but as a retired nurse/military/mom, I have the right mindset and can put up with going without some things. I no longer look forward to taking care of my little farm in the dead of winter, so I plan to sell everything, and travel. I will bother my children during the winter or travel south perhaps, but I look for to a new kind of freedom. I will be traveling with a dog and my old cat until she is no longer around. I could never be completely without my animal friends. Ill miss the goats and chickens, and will have to board my horse... a lot of things to consider.... Thanks for all the good ideas and the dry humor. 🤓 ❤

Arslan I'm a short time subscriber but could help with a train of thought. With all the idle hours on your car I'd run full synthetic oil and do oil change every 3000 miles. I’m a new travel ICU nurse (1yr doing it), 6yrs as an RN, with an ‘18 Mustang and I’m thinking of sleeping in my car sometimes to save money and drive to states for contracts and save money. I just don’t know if my car is reliable enough to drive around the country with it, but I should try it. But your car is even older than mine so it gives me hope I can make it work.

Love your setup and so glad you got your lobster! Sharing a hack for stealth camping: Buy unscented baby wipes and pour 70% isopropyl alcohol into the package right over the wipes. Store the package in a gallon ziploc. I clean my dishes just like you do but I take it a step further by wiping them down with these alcohol wipes as a last step.
Would work fantastic on your sink, stove, trash can, window covers, etc. Not only does it disinfect, it helps keep smells at bay! Don’t use on leather or wood surfaces (strips sealants).
I know they sell alcohol wipes, but most have bleach and other chemicals I don’t want on my hands or food surfaces. This way you control how wet your wipes are too so you’ve got enough alcohol to clean your surfaces. Happy camping!

But here is a new: FIRE HAZARD!
By this time I could make a compilation of honest campers showing bloopers when that type of camping stove or anything with open flame caught fire as the seal or the canister or the regulator failed. The difference is that those people were cooking outside and so they live to tell the tale.
Do a fire drill, just to see if you have any way out if the seal would fail and the open flame would make the thing burst all the gas inside the car. I'd venture that even in a van it would be a major event, but in a sports car the interior is so small the flames don't even need to be big to catch something flammable including your clothing.
Please man, for your own safety switch to something safer like an induction plate. (boiling water still has its dangers, but it won't explode into your face)
Love watching your videos, I knew they are very time consuming, but had no idea 42 hours OMG, then nursing on top of that sounds impossible. You do what you need to do. Don’t let people guilt you. Just an fyi I always watch Videos ads but this morning they have given you 2 45 min. Ads and one 16 minute minute ad. I think this is awesome! I live in a tiny house on wheels with a total of 278 square feet. My only downside is that I don't have a actual oven or a actual washer. I went from 1800 square feet down to 278. It was a huge struggle for me. I have no idea how you can live this small, but my hat is off to you!!!

Mozzarella cheese (exactly the same kind you used in that video)
Mayo
Put mustard & basil paste on bread, layer the veggies & cheese in the order listed above. End with a little mayo on the other piece of bread.
You can also add some chicken lunch meat after the mozzarella if you'd like but you really won't taste it. The basil combined with all the veggies is so flavorful and fresh tasting that it's the bulk of the flavor and it's really good.

Bro I wanna do this at some point but with a bus. I've seen a guy and his friends redesign a bus into a tiny home before and it looked amazing. The layout probably wouldn't be as nice as how they did it, but I'd probably put a bed in the back, bolt it down, have a desk and chair bolted to the ground for a gaming setup, have a counter locked down more near the front that would have a working faucet, stove, oven, and dishwasher, and in the middle I'd have a little shower room and I'd make a drain system, a water system that I could fill manually, and I'd make some space behind the bed to put a generator in to power stuff, and I'd also use solar panels on the roof. To go to the bathroom I'd probably just drive to a public restroom or walk.
