As someone who was homeless for 2 years and may eventually become homeless again soon I really appreciate your style of living. I could never live out of a tiny car like you do tho I'd need a van. That being said I'd agree that buying land even if you still live in your car until proper shelter is built is still better than parking in public places.

I can't justify it either. I absolutely hate paying all I have just to rest a few hours a week. It's disgusting to be honest. You have my full respect, I mean you don't have that much space in a car or a van so you definitely have to own less but you still seem to be very satisfied and even small things like a nice meal make you happy. Nowadays most people own more stuff, me included, but basically one is still searching for real satisfaction. Warning to others; it is REALLY not a good idea to cook with butane/propane in an enclosed space like this without ventilation. Also, you can save about 90% of your detergent by using far less than you are dispensing on that sponge. My husband and I are camper van campers. I have a spray bottle with soapy water and spritz my dirty dishes, utensils and cookware. Rub with a no scratch net covered sponge. Then rinse with a water bottle (refillable) that has holes pierced in lid by an ice pick. You really can conserve water this way as you are very aware of how much water you are actually using and not just letting the faucet run. In our van we have smaller holding tanks than a large RV so we really are obsessive about water conservation. Also for smaller compact sized cooking and kitchen items, search for gear marketed for backpacking use. Really enjoying your videos, thanks and stay safe.
Induction Hot plate is what you need to use instead of gas while cooking in your vehicle. You have electricity hooked up already. You need magnetic pots and pans for it to work. I have one that has 2 burners and works great!
Not an ounce of cynicism.. only you showing us your joy , resilience, transparency and everything else under the sun..! I am right there with 'ya! The Hawaiian girl on your dash, jigglin' as we drive on down the road!🙋🎶💜
Getting land would be a great idea. You could buy a cheap camper trailer and park it there with a wood stove and compost toilet and live there for cheap and pay off the land or whatever. You could prob. Get a good price on raw undeveloped land with no utilities.
Don't forget to check State websites. The DNR (or whatever related plans management system) sometimes sells off land that really isn't buildable Lakeside and stuff. Lake Michigan is enroaching into the shore in some places so it might not be a super long-term investment but if you're not actually building some kind of a structure, even if it's a tiny piece, like you said a camper would be perfect especially with the solar setup... could be pretty phenomenal even if you can't develop the land.
land is cheap in the Western deserts, but its 120F in the shade, and their is no shade. I own a lot in Meadview, AZ, I believe a camper can be placed on it, during construction.. taxes are $85/year with no building, the fee for the association is $50/year, those are the only expenses.. lmk if interested, owned it since 2001, but not planning on doing anything with it
How do you find those lands? Would that be good for those prefab homes (aka tiny homes, mobile homes) that go for a few thousand dollars ? If not electricity, then water and sewer would be required. How do you go about those?
Arslan, lots of sun and flatland here in Florida. You won't have any problem getting solar power. Love to have you here. Awesome personality. Lots of hospital and medical facilities so you would not have a problem getting a job. Lots of senior citizens to keep you busy. Nice to be part of your UA-cam endeavors. Don H. Ocala Fl
North Carolina is GORGEOUS. You might want to look into the Asheville area. There are TONS of people living off grid and even small communities. It is a beautiful state here💙💙💙
If it weren’t for a good friend I’d be homeless, and I work!! I grew up in the Northeast, things have certainly changed over the last 15 years. It’s rough!! Stay safe brother.
I found this channel maybe about a month ago, and I absolutely love seeing this guy just go. There's a true sense of freedom when you're doing things on your own, and it is truly given me another prospective on how to live life. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our own linear lifestyles that we forget there's way more around us. And those things are usually the more simple things which also tend to be the most nurturing to the soul and mind. In regards to Arslen, I really enjoy the closesness of his videos. In other words, I feel so immersed that it even disconnects me from my routy city. I really enjoy feeling like we're all in an adventure with him. My overall theme with this channel is that I feel at peace and that is so important. Thank you, Arslen! You're such a humble and down to earth guy.
Elon is going to be pricey i guess.🤔 You are better off with a toyota that can be easily fixed. Even aftermarket parts are quality. Honda too is long lasting.
I never thought this could happen in America. So heart breaking. Especially watching our poorer older senior citizens being for forced into vans and cars. This is no longer the America I grew up in. Arsian, you should consider Texas. The cost of living isn’t quite as bad as New York. It’s unbearably hot though!
Being from Texas, do not go there. The police arnt the kindest and the laws are not great. I now live on the west coast. Still way cheaper than NY. We have places to park for the night and drive past Phoenix. Serious. I love your video's.
@@kamrynrainntree695 I moved to Tx from NJ I came across the most crooked cop a cop stop me and said I ran a stop I told him how do I run a stop sign wen I see you parked I'm the corner (it's broad day light)
I admire your enthusiasm and perseverance! By the way, I wouldn't park on a rooftop parking lot all alone. It seems unsafe during the night. What really frightens me is the use of a gas stove in the car. Fire can start quickly... The most impressive detail in the car is: a plant! I have a small camper van, a lot of travel experience. Fun and less pleasant experiences... Safety should always come first. Also, make sure you can quickly leave the car in case of danger or something. Stay healthy and safe. Great UA-cam channel, I'm subscribing to it.
Wow, Arslan, you are fricken HILARIOUS !!!! You're on the right path, bro! Keep on keepin' on, try to stay positive, and you can definitely reach your goals. You are very, very creative. And that's what it takes to be successful in the good ol' U.S. of A. God Bless.
I would like to strongly agree with this! I've been to chapel beach, MI with this Camaro few years back and it was one of the most memorable experiences..
Congrats on your RN I was a nurses aide 27 years until foot surgeries sure loved it I did mostly home care and private duty. . Blessings on your travels. Rent is terrible I'd like to own again ..
You're an inspiration to me! I'm about to start living out of my car. Your videos have helped me realize anything is possible. Post more videos please! Your positivity keeps me going ❤
You need a good tent, friend! I know you wouldn't always be able to use it, but in some locations you could, and it will give you some relief for space and protection from bugs. Som cheap campsites let you stay a couple weeks etc. A popup style (such as ones made by Gazelle) would allow for quick and easy breaks from the car.
It's crazy I agree how the rents have skyrocketed. I'm praying for your protection. I admire your tenacity and doing it your way. Just be careful! This is coming from a Mom of three and Grandmother of 7!❤
I was born and raised in Seattle in the late 1950s. The city was affordable, clean, beautiful, and safe. By the time I graduated high school, no one I knew could afford their own modest home by the late 1970s. So we bought north or south of the city. After a divorce, I lost my home. Now I’m retired and my home is a broken down RV.
Absolutely 100 percent. I’ve been involved in a collision on a highway over near Calgary and I’m currently getting the pieces back together. Now I have no wheels at the moment I’m pushing forward to another truck. Keep up the good work.
Stay positive Arslan, I recall you mentioned you didn’t have many friends, I hope managing your UA-cam gives you a sense of community :) If you find a spot you like, maybe you could stay longer, join some gym classes and meet some other people too! Either way wishing the best for you, you are a very positive soul
Congratulations my brother for reaching 100k+! I am sure that those numbers will increase in the coming days. Also, I think getting a piece of land now is better than later mainly because its price increases every year like rent. However, take your time still because you need to purchase that piece of land that you like, not just because it is cheap. For the place to visit, maybe Chicago would be great. I am still sad about what happened to the SUV but at least you're back in the Camaro. If you choose to purchase a new vehicle, maybe get one that has more space just like the SUV. BTW, I did not see the miniature fridge that you use while you're in the Camaro. Maybe next video? Anyway, take care of yourself always and enjoy life on the road.
Swivel the chair to get more room. Rotate 180 degree for full range bed for rest or just rotate 90 degree for full range and quick driving mode (if let say you need to move quick after rest). Mosquito net for the windows, for ventilation while cooking and resting. Yes. Get a land/home. For the "I'm back" feeling. Good for "touch down" time & storage purpose.
I absolutely love your channel. You are such a free caring and friendly person. I seriously feel like we could be the best of friends. I wanted to let you know that I have been itching for a while to pull the trigger and live the van life (the car life in your case 😂) and you have inspired me to do so. So I am doing it. I'm looking for a van to convert and I will get it done in the next 16 days. Because my lease is out by then. I live in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and is very weird for people to do that in here but I want to do it and is all because of you. I want to thank you for that 🫶. I will also start my own UA-cam channel to record my experience and see how it goes! Keep up the good work and keep pumping out solid content. Best wishes you got a fan for life here. 🙌
You could literally live in a tiny apartment for cheap in PR. It's hot as Hades there. But they do have Planet Fitness everywhere so there is your bathroom and shower.
@justhere3794 I do live in a tiny apartment, and I hate it. I'm always on the go and I will much rather travel around with my GF and sleep in the van. As far as being hot goes I have that cover. I'm not doing this decision for a lack of funds. I just want to live on the go. I always wanted to do it. I live a very frugal life and don't care to own things. So the van life has always resonated with me. Worst-case scenario if I don't like it, I could find a new place but I seriously doubt it.
Good to see you alive, well, and cooking!!! Remember the key is North in summer and South in winter for car/van living!! Or SoCal any time!! Looking forward to more adventures with you!!
I live in upstate New York and it’s starting to get cold at night. You may want to go to Arizona. People are lovely. 🥰 I’ll be visiting soon, my son lives there and is 29 like you. 🌟
For the home, find out what the minimum sq. foot should be. Also, find out if they allow a trailer hitched tiny home on the lot. Most zones don't allow or want timy homes at the moment, which I think sucks, but times are changing.
Haha youve such a funny and cool personality Arslan 😎 the Camaro suits you well but is a little tight on space! You should show the whole transfer process! Youve done amazing completing your nursing goals, I think you should now continue your original Nevada Plans! Reno or Las Vegas would be so cool to see with endless content wed love to see! So much more for you there, New York and New Jersey will hold you back. Elon is hiring heavily here in Sparks and of course hes doing a lot with the loops in Las Vegas. Give it some thought, youre too talented to give up and stay on the east coast. Keep on solar camping!
I don't understand the negative comments. If you don't understand, don't agree or don't like what he is doing why be nasty about it. He is making a smart choice that works for him. He is a positive, caring smart guy! Be kind and wish him luck.😊
Hi Arslan - thanks for the video but you've already shown us all these aspects in your other videos. We wanted to see more of your vlog style content. What happened to the SUV? Can you tell us about the airbnb experience and how you got your camero back? We want to know more about you in your vlogs and a continuation of the story of the broken down car. Hope you are well and thanks for the videos love it!!!
Hi Teserut, this is good feedback for me, thank you. I'm still figuring out the direction of the channel and how the videos will be. I will add a pinned comment updating the status of the suburban. I'm selling the Suburban after extracting the camper setup. The Camaro was pretty much ready to go, I just made a few adjustments as you saw in the video, however, I plan to update the electrical system on the Camaro
OMG, I live in upstate NY and believe me, you do not want to buy land or property here. Taxes are absured. Do your research to find your best location, but I would avoid NYS
Hey Arslan, I hope your reading this. I just really want you to take my word for it and get a Toyota. You could get a Sequoia or a Sienna and transform it. I have had a Toyota Camry 2003 with 256,000 miles and it is still running perfectly. in the over 20 years I've had the car, I only took it to the shop for oil changes and to fix a dent from hail damage. Toyotas are seriously the most reliable cars you will find anywhere, and their efficient. Best of luck!
The one thing I worry about with you in a tiny car is your back and neck are going to be screwed. I hope you can get a bigger car soon. I know the other one you just got died on you which sucks.
I live in an apartment with a full closet and dresser, and I have been rolling my pants and shirts up for like 10 years. It's the difference of fitting like 6 pairs in a dresser drawer to fitting 12 pairs.
My 1bd rent in LA went from $1800 to $2400 in last two years it’s outta control I’m currently looking to upgrade my Prius to sienna van to live out of if I can find a reasonable priced one car market is just as whacked.
I'm sorry your last vehicle died. That one was so well suited to your lifestyle. And this one appears to be cramped. I hope you are able to get a larger vehicle soon. God bless you!
There are some dangerous situations that occur even with a large camper. Some scary encounters are documented on UA-cam even in the UK, which surprised me. It’s a shame. Be safe out there!
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, great content! I’m too claustrophobic to live in a Camaro though! Lol if you want to find “cheap” land in NYS you need to get further away from The City, it looked like you were in the Hudson valley area which is still expensive. The Southern Tier has much cheaper land and tons of opportunities for RNs. Just be sure you make sure there are no deed / zoning restrictions so you can build your tiny home.
I would definitely wait on buying anything for a few years. The market is hyper-inflated. Head out west to western MT or central/northern ID. Dry, warm days, cool nights. Lay low on buying anything for a while. Best wishes. Stay safe Arslan.
Stay out of NY, spent a lot of life there, upstate, downstate etc. Regulations make it nearly impossible to do what you want with tiny homes etc. Check regulations for every area your looking at. Ur car is awesome! U mit want to look at PA as well. NJ, been there too. Just as bad as NY, only more people per square mile. NY/NJ taxes are crazy.
As a retired Paramedic I know some Traveling Nurses who work in the Hospitals...Talk about making Bank and then not paying rent,,,How cool is that. You will be able to see the whole country and get paid well while doing it. Congrats Brother...
Great video. Really enjoy watching your adventures. You mentioned coming to this country several years ago. Where were you living prior? Would be interesting to compare America to where your used to live. Were those hummingbirds that were flying around as you were filming? Again, very enjoyable video. Insofar as where you want to live and purchasing land for a small home, I would strongly recommend you review (a) the many videos on UA-cam on small home living and (b) get a place where, as a nurse, when you decide you don't want to travel, you could be close to a place of work and not be too far out into the country.
You can’t win living in a house either, leasing or ownership. One of many reasons rent could go up is because property tax goes up so don’t take it to personal. Then there is insurance on your house which is very expensive. Insurance doesn’t cover all disasters either. It’s a real gamble owning a house and property. Can’t win and more expensive to have home ownership. 👍🇺🇸
Big reason the rents went way up is because landlords are trying to make up for the losses they had in 2020 when the b.s. started. Too many tenants took advantage and pushed way passed the limits on "not having to pay rent". This cause landlords to hemorrhage money. I did not take advantage but may still be looking at living in my car if things don't level out.
@@FORKandFIFTIES yea, but it all had to be paid back as soon as the moratorium ended and should have been added at the end. It wasn't that easy, and if they had no choice but to put it off then they paid dearly in the end. Nothing that happened in 2020 had anything to do with fairness.
Hey man, love what you're doing and to see your positivity! I'd highly recommend a drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains late summer/early fall - there are some beautiful views to be had.
Congrats on graduating nursing school. Its been quite a while since ive gotten a notification for one of your videos. Your videos are always fun and interesting, so I'm really glad to see you actively making videos.
I'm about to do this , I live near LA Pretty bad prices on just about anything you can think of . Just recently told my dad my ideas and got yelled at that it "wasn't what your supposed to do" This makes me want to do it more Tried to explain that along time ago a single person room was 400 Now a days it's 900 + So getting hate from family sucks that they won't understand that it's hard out here and maybe the norm just isn't it these days Nomad style all day for me Gym = showers Storage = clothes items What else am I missing ?
We have a Tesla dealership half a mile from us in St. Petersburg, Florida. Maybe they're up where you are. I have no desire for a Tesla but more power to you. Bummer about your suburban. Working in the chaos of a hospital would make you need down alone time for sure.
Honestly dude, I applaud you for your bravery and lifestyle. Seriously way to go, and making content out of it? Amazing! You are so awesome and inspiring. I hope that Elon Musk helps you with your dream, or you just get an opportunity for a bit more spacious car too and can continue your creativity that way! Keep making amazing content.
Screw Elon musk That guy is a total idiot who wastes too much money Find someone more competent than Elon musk And besides find someone who can help him make more mobile homes and BOOM! they're in business or so I hope
I think it's a great idea to secure a piece of land for yourself. Also, a new van that you build out to your own wishes would be a comfy and roomy step up.
Rent and housing rise. It’s not only a US problem - it’s a universal problem. I think it happen in every country and every big city. You have to have been lucky to buy when prices were low in order to be able to buy or rent in a city. Got a friend who happened to divorce his former wife and now have to live in a 1500 US dollar 1 bedroom apartment here in greater Copenhagen Denmark. If you have to live within city limits of Copenhagen prices rise even further more. And here in Denmark it’s hard a d almost impossible to live out of your car. We don’t really have the same amenities to live out of your car, like public shower and toilet facilities and parking and laundromats. And maybe even frowned upon
oh come on, you don't have gyms and laundromats in Denmark? be serious, I live in Switzerland and I'm preparing for vanlife, and our country is pretty much the same as yours (just more expensive)
@@giovannifoulmouth7205 I am serious! Sure we have gyms and laundromat’s. And people use the gym for training and such. But what we don’t have are public laundromat’s on every corner in Copenhagen- come see for yourself then. Either people have their own washer or they simply use the home owners association facilities like laundromat for the tenants or owners. And that’s why there aren’t many public laundromat’s here in Copenhagen or any other city. There’s simply not enough business for them to exist. People stopped using them like 20-30 or so years ago, since home owners association started their own laundromats and so did the social housing projects for low rent for their tenants
Definitely cool to have a headquarters. Somewhere if you need to go and reset you can go to your land and know that theres nothing to worry about. First property is a definite no. East coast spots you definitely need to try the blue Ride trail. Shenandoah trail.
Love your channel. I just recently found it so I haven't seen many of your past videos yet. I was wondering if you've ever been a traveling nurse while living this lifestyle? I don't know if it's the same these days, or if they are even used. Many years ago I worked with an RN who worked for a company which sent her to a different state every three months. She really enjoyed seeing different areas, making money while doing it.
@officialSolarCamperCar_ - Hello, I used to go skiing with a group from my hospital every weekend, this is how I met the traveling nurse. I met her during the last few weeks in my area, so I didn't get to know much about her. She did say the company she worked for paid her travel expenses, her rent and a salary. If you google "Traveling Nurses" you'll find more information, looks like they are still in demand, and salaries can be quite good, probably depending on different areas worked in. She did get to choose if she wanted an assignment or not, hopefully it's still that way. Let us know if you decide to try it out, would be exciting to follow along with you.
How come to don’t post anything about safety plans or anything. You should do a video about what you do in a situation where someone is trying to break in your car. Do you own a gun, knife, pepper spray? Do you use a wheel lock? A dash cam or outside camera?
Minnesota has so many national parks, lakes, and local camp spots it’s pretty easy to find spots. Lake Superior is gorgeous. Living in Michigan now and it’s beautiful as well.
Amazing. I think you should stick to a van. IMO. As far as property, there are lots of places in New York that are quite affordable and beautiful locations. You’ve got a great attitude. Full of life.
One of the most beautiful states in the U.S. IMO. I know its humid in the summer but I think I would take that over the arid landscapes of the dryer states.
Really Impressed, YOU are something! Probably If Someone mention to me about this so many years ago, probably I copy your life style, but on the top... You did your career, very positive attitude!!!! amazing!
Hey, what happened to Nevada? you went all the way to Vegas and then you realized you couldn’t do it because of the heat. Then you said your car was broke and me being a mechanic, the lifters are an easy fix. Just admit you couldn’t take the heat
So many questions. I thought I missed a video? Glad to see you are getting through this bump in your journey though. I hope you find the land you are looking for a tiny home would be perfect .
It’s so good to see you again. I live in central NYS Land out this way is very affordable compared to bigger cities. Be careful with some of the people Can’t be too friendly with out being “on guard”. Yes, appeals to Me. Musk. He would be foolish to overlook you. You would make a resourceful employee.
You asked our opinion about the land you showed in your video. I think you should find something more isolated. You never know who might move in next door if the present owners decide to sell. Keep looking. I'm glad to be a new part of your 100 K subscribers., I look forward to your next video,.
I think if Elon knew about you, he would collaborate with you. Goals are great and you should buy land while it's still affordable but I think you should do it close or a reasonable drive to your family because you never know when your needs change and when you get older, you will appreciate being able to see your family without all kinds of hurdles. I know you don't want a lot of trees because you need the sun for solar but wouldn't you want a section of the land where there are some trees? I mean you might get solar but then you wouldn't have any shade or beauty. I think shade is so important, especially if you live in a miserably hot place like Texas. Also, I hope you have thought about zoning, etc. Before you buy any land, be sure you can put up a tiny home or whatever you want to live in. That area that you were looking at looked residential and I doubt if they would just let you build whatever you want. I look forward to you getting land and doing all kinds of creative things!
I think you are so awesome. I think of how you can make it work and are so positive. We can all lose fear if we realize anything is doable. Thanks for all your inspiration!

Note to self living in your car sucks balls😂
He had all of that in his old car but had to switch. He is making do with what he has until he gets a new car.

This week's new video (August 5th) will be delayed (not sure how long) due to technical problems! But I promise it will be worth the wait.
So you think it'll be today?
Yes, some rural lands go for cheap, like $10k! but no utilities or even roads haha
I own a lot in Meadview, AZ, I believe a camper can be placed on it, during construction.. taxes are $85/year with no building, the fee for the association is $50/year, those are the only expenses.. lmk if interested, owned it since 2001, but not planning on doing anything with it
@NoZenith yes, this is very important information to know. Unfortunately there are things that aren't aloud in certain states.
It is a beautiful state here💙💙💙
You’re right about that. Love NC!
Wow that's crazy to think you came here 12 years ago and doing so much better than a lot of people born here.
Thank you so much Lionel for that, means a lot
Elon is going to be pricey i guess.🤔 You are better off with a toyota that can be easily fixed. Even aftermarket parts are quality. Honda too is long lasting.
@@solarcampercar Can you re-upload the videos on how you converted your Camaro into a camper? I can't find them on your channel
Yes I burning in Tx my car ac is not working I live in my car
Being from Texas, do not go there. The police arnt the kindest and the laws are not great. I now live on the west coast. Still way cheaper than NY. We have places to park for the night and drive past Phoenix. Serious. I love your video's.

We live in my truck right now too. It’s nice seeing someone local sticking it out too. Stay safe man
There are these mesh covers that fit over your car door and you can still roll down your window without letting bugs in. You should try it.
We all have hardships. It sucks. But making the most out of it is what counts!
AND YOU HIT A HUNDRED THOUSAND SUBS CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

SSSSHHHHHHH
Buying land and a shelter/container home on it would be dope. Much respect whatever you do
Hey you by me. I live upstate NY. Yes everything got expensive. I've been in the same apartment for 13 years. Food is massively expensive.
Kudos to you for sleeping in that small space. I'd get anxiety. Stay safe out there.
Great to check up on you, so organized😊 lol and at least you marked your territory. Be safe until next time ....
Thanks for your uplifting words

Glad Your Back As Most Of Us Been Waiting For Another Video After What Happened

Haha youve such a funny and cool personality Arslan 😎 the Camaro suits you well but is a little tight on space! You should show the whole transfer process! OMG, I live in upstate NY and believe me, you do not want to buy land or property here. Taxes are absured. Do your research to find your best location, but I would avoid NYS
You could fashion some window screens to keep the bugs out.
St. Lawrence County
I would definitely wait on buying anything for a few years. The market is hyper-inflated. Head out west to western MT or central/northern ID. Dry, warm days, cool nights. Lay low on buying anything for a while. Best wishes. Stay safe Arslan.
You've hit over $100K subscribers! Congrats. Love your videos and watching you grow!

You are a true survivalist yet I feel for your situation, may good luck come your way soon.
It’s the same situation here in Australia. Many people homeless because of rising rent prices.
Wish you the best bro!
This is one of my favorite vehicle/camping youtube shows. Well done. 👍
Wow, thanks!
Mortgage companies allowed them to not pay mortgage for like 6 months if not more
@@FORKandFIFTIES yea, but it all had to be paid back as soon as the moratorium ended and should have been added at the end. It wasn't that easy, and if they had no choice but to put it off then they paid dearly in the end. Nothing that happened in 2020 had anything to do with fairness.

You are so amazing. I would do the same thing. You are saving money. I wish you the best of luck.
Wow you are so positive and really inspiring! All the best from Berlin, Germany.
How come to don’t post anything about safety plans or anything. You should do a video about what you do in a situation where someone is trying to break in your car. Do you own a gun, knife, pepper spray? Do you use a wheel lock? A dash cam or outside camera?

buying a piece of land is a brilliant idea. you can't go wrong. then you can see what type of housing you want to do in the future ....options
Very good sharing. It is absolutely nice to buy a piece of land for yourself. May your dream come true🎉🎉
Why would you think that? He is a selfish money hoarder.
