He has put himself through college, has a degree and has a good job where he's helping others.
he is saving money. Instead of spending a ton of $ on rent or mortgage most of his pay is going in the bank.
He will be set for his future if he carries on doing this for a few years.
And he'll be the one laughing.
I wouldn't scoff at what he's doing. It's a smart thing to do in these current times.
He was in a van in another video which was hooked up.
Water, a bed, a place to cook.
He Can Travel where he wants.
Like what do you really need in life at the end of the day for survival?
He has all the basics. He has regular income, Water, food, a place to lay his head. And doesn't have to give his hard earned money to some landlord or mortgage company.

As someone who was homeless for 2 years and may eventually become homeless again soon I really appreciate your style of living. I could never live out of a tiny car like you do tho I'd need a van. That being said I'd agree that buying land even if you still live in your car until proper shelter is built is still better than parking in public places.

I can't justify it either. I absolutely hate paying all I have just to rest a few hours a week. It's disgusting to be honest. In 2012 my rent was 444 a month and now 2023 its 1650 and 444 was duable considering all other bills. Now either rent and partial bills get paid leaving others behind. It sucks.

You have my full respect, I mean you don't have that much space in a car or a van so you definitely have to own less but you still seem to be very satisfied and even small things like a nice meal make you happy. Warning to others; it is REALLY not a good idea to cook with butane/propane in an enclosed space like this without ventilation. Also, you can save about 90% of your detergent by using far less than you are dispensing on that sponge. Dawn is incredibly strong and you could wash those dishes with a just a little dot of it on the sponge.

My husband and I are camper van campers. I have a spray bottle with soapy water and spritz my dirty dishes, utensils and cookware. Rub with a no scratch net covered sponge. Then rinse with a water bottle (refillable) that has holes pierced in lid by an ice pick. You really can conserve water this way as you are very aware of how much water you are actually using and not just letting the faucet run. In our van we have smaller holding tanks than a large RV so we really are obsessive about water conservation. Also for smaller compact sized cooking and kitchen items, search for gear marketed for backpacking use. Really enjoying your videos, thanks and stay safe.

Don't forget to check State websites. The DNR (or whatever related plans management system) sometimes sells off land that really isn't buildable Lakeside and stuff. Lake Michigan is enroaching into the shore in some places so it might not be a super long-term investment but if you're not actually building some kind of a structure, even if it's a tiny piece, like you said a camper would be perfect especially with the solar setup... could be pretty phenomenal even if you can't develop the land.

land is cheap in the Western deserts, but its 120F in the shade, and their is no shade. I own a lot in Meadview, AZ, I believe a camper can be placed on it, during construction.. taxes are $85/year with no building, the fee for the association is $50/year, those are the only expenses.. lmk if interested, owned it since 2001, but not planning on doing anything with it

I found this channel maybe about a month ago, and I absolutely love seeing this guy just go. There's a true sense of freedom when you're doing things on your own, and it is truly given me another prospective on how to live life. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our own linear lifestyles that we forget there's way more around us. And those things are usually the more simple things which also tend to be the most nurturing to the soul and mind. In regards to Arslen, I really enjoy the closesness of his videos. In other words, I feel so immersed that it even disconnects me from my routy city. I really enjoy feeling like we're all in an adventure with him. Also, I think getting a piece of land now is better than later mainly because its price increases every year like rent. However, take your time still because you need to purchase that piece of land that you like, not just because it is cheap. For the place to visit, maybe Chicago would be great. I am still sad about what happened to the SUV but at least you're back in the Camaro. If you choose to purchase a new vehicle, maybe get one that has more space just like the SUV. BTW, I did not see the miniature fridge that you use while you're in the Camaro. Maybe next video? Anyway, take care of yourself always and enjoy life on the road.

Lol if you want to find “cheap” land in NYS you need to get further away from The City, it looked like you were in the Hudson valley area which is still expensive. The Southern Tier has much cheaper land and tons of opportunities for RNs. Just be sure you make sure there are no deed / zoning restrictions so you can build your tiny home.

You can’t win living in a house either, leasing or ownership. One of many reasons rent could go up is because property tax goes up so don’t take it to personal. Then there is insurance on your house which is very expensive. Insurance doesn’t cover all disasters either. It’s a real gamble owning a house and property. Can’t win and more expensive to have home ownership. 👍🇺🇸

Big reason the rents went way up is because landlords are trying to make up for the losses they had in 2020 when the b.s. started. Too many tenants took advantage and pushed way passed the limits on "not having to pay rent". This cause landlords to hemorrhage money. I did not take advantage but may still be looking at living in my car if things don't level out.

Rent and housing rise. It’s not only a US problem - it’s a universal problem. I think it happen in every country and every big city. You have to have been lucky to buy when prices were low in order to be able to buy or rent in a city. Got a friend who happened to divorce his former wife and now have to live in a 1500 US dollar 1 bedroom apartment here in greater Copenhagen Denmark. If you have to live within city limits of Copenhagen prices rise even further more. And here in Denmark it’s hard a d almost impossible to live out of your car. We don’t really have the same amenities to live out of your car, like public shower and toilet facilities and parking and laundromats. And maybe even frowned upon

@@giovannifoulmouth7205 I am serious! Sure we have gyms and laundromat’s. And people use the gym for training and such. But what we don’t have are public laundromat’s on every corner in Copenhagen- come see for yourself then. Either people have their own washer or they simply use the home owners association facilities like laundromat for the tenants or owners. And that’s why there aren’t many public laundromat’s here in Copenhagen or any other city. There’s simply not enough business for them to exist. People stopped using them like 20-30 or so years ago, since home owners association started their own laundromats and so did the social housing projects for low rent for their tenants

I don't know if it's the same these days, or if they are even used. Many years ago I worked with an RN who worked for a company which sent her to a different state every three months. I met her during the last few weeks in my area, so I didn't get to know much about her. She did say the company she worked for paid her travel expenses, her rent and a salary. If you google "Traveling Nurses" you'll find more information, looks like they are still in demand, and salaries can be quite good, probably depending on different areas worked in. She did get to choose if she wanted an assignment or not, hopefully it's still that way. Let us know if you decide to try it out, would be exciting to follow along with you.

I think if Elon knew about you, he would collaborate with you. Goals are great and you should buy land while it's still affordable but I think you should do it close or a reasonable drive to your family because you never know when your needs change and when you get older, you will appreciate being able to see your family without all kinds of hurdles. I know you don't want a lot of trees because you need the sun for solar but wouldn't you want a section of the land where there are some trees? I mean you might get solar but then you wouldn't have any shade or beauty. I think shade is so important, especially if you live in a miserably hot place like Texas. Also, I hope you have thought about zoning, etc. Before you buy any land, be sure you can put up a tiny home or whatever you want to live in. That area that you were looking at looked residential and I doubt if they would just let you build whatever you want. I look forward to you getting land and doing all kinds of creative things!
