I feel like LFG is one of those people who might enjoy catching crappie more than large mouths, and I respect that because I'm the same way. I often catch crappie and just release all of them. I know they're good eating, but it's just fun catching them on a light/ultralight spinning rig.
LoL i know what you mean but lunkers and flair are pretty relieble. Jon B is sincre most the time but hes a goof. The rest are newbs which is good the sport carries on
@@rep1989 how many times do I gotta say this to y'all livescope atheists? LIVESCOPE DOESNT CATCH FISH, IT SEES FISH. JUST CAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE FISH, DOESNT MEAN YOULL CATCH IT. Learn the fucking difference
Justin I definitely can’t weight to see the recipe and the way that you end up cooking those crappies!!! That has to be my favorite thing about your videos is just seeing what you come up with and how you deside to cook the crappies!!! Hopefully you do a video on those crappies and how you deside to cook them!!!!???? Awesome video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!!
May I suggest when vertical judging that you hover over the crappie from tail to noes with the jig very slowly. When on bed’s crappie won’t bite as much but this tactic works almost every time. It believe the crappie feel the bait creep up from behind them with their lateral line and it makes them think more predatory then they see the bait above them and act on instinct. I promise you’ll catch more fish when sight fishing and it might become a new addition in the spring!
I saw you at buc-ees today! I was so excited I shouted “Hi LFG you’re awesome!” But forgot to roll the window down… so the guy in the blue ford was not angry at you lol
Caught three 1+ pound 12 to 13 inchers off the Googan Green UltraLight. My PB 1.77 lb Crappie was off the Googan Green UL recently too. It can stand up to heavier fish!
Good video per always buddy! Gotta love the googan ultra light! My two piece has treated me well so far. But I gotta know what line you use! I love the look of it
Something I used today that was absolute fire was a snacky swimmer on whatever size jig head for your conditions but pinch off the tail just at the paddle and it is a absolute fire vertical jig
If you had weighed the bass, I wonder where you would have ranked in the tournament where people were trying to catch bass? Nice video! I appreciate your work
I was fishing on a lake one time while a FLW tournament I did not know was going on. It was real windy day. Had caught three bass. From what I heard most didnt catch any and the winner only scaled one fish. I think they were mad being anchored in the slew. So none would fish near where we were. The sport has got funny results sometimes from unexpected obstecles
Carp is pretty good eating if u get a decent sized one and foil pack it with lots and lots of butter onion and garlic over the grill. Just scale it gut it take the head off. Use a fork to get the meat off
I got a Hawg of a common carp 20-25lb , and it ate my Cleo and choked on it .. I thought for the first couple minutes it was a pike which I was targeting .. next cast caught a fair size pike and fought the same way and I couldn’t tell what it was.. but I’ve seen a couple common carp going after lures
Just a mature black crappie wasnt it? The hump on their nose gets really defined when matured, and the black stripe is wider on both white and black crappie. I am not saying it wasnt a hybrid but i didnt see it.
Doesnt hybrid have a short top fin or cont8nuios or has an angle on it that is different honestly i dont remember all the species hybrids. Dont have them and dont want them in my area. Mostly white crappie here. Some blacks mixed in. I can travel 40-60 in different directions and go after the big big blacks. Assumming they arent all fished out from guys with live scope by now.
Black crappie in my experience usually stay in rock cover while the white crappie stay in heavy brush. Black crappie fight better to me but love all fish
That black line down their nose doesn't mean they are hybrids, some crappie have it but most don't. It's just a marking kind of like when some bass have black marks on them.
The Magnolia Crappie is easy to recognize. Instead of being located by underwater trees, the trees grow through the Crappies. So you just need to snag the tree to bring them in. Sorry for the bad humor. I just couldn’t resist. I live up north and it has been 6 months since I’ve been on open water. Season opens in 3 weeks.
Team crappie make a under spin lure I been really like use it .I been catch alot of fish with it ever catfish love it .the other day I went out I catch 8 channel catfish and on bluegill and a small mouth bass.them under spin catch everthink am going again in the morning
Those are all black crappie, they get super dark during spawn. Males usually get dark in both species of crappie. The other was a blacknose or also called a magnolia, but was still black crappie variety. White crappie have verticle lines..
magnolia crappie. The state of MS stocks it's lakes with these fish because they are sterile, thus not over populating, and grow to great sizes in the smaller lakes.
Lake Fork is like that……it’s over fished every day for bass and it’s a very under rated crappie lake b/c of the flotilla of bass fisherman that pound it every day
Those are Magnolia crappie. They are just a black crappie with a genetic trait sort of like a white deer. They are sometimes called a black nose. Not a hybrid.

Not trying to start anything but a lot of the Googan’s know their stuff maybe even more than you
14:21 into the video while your unhooking the carp a fish swims underneath your boat. That was pretty cool
The hybrid crappies with the black nose are typically referred to as "Magnolia" crappies throughout the southern reservoirs
I've never caught one. Do they make their way anywhere up near Oklahoma?
1:14 I need that Merc start as my notification ring!🔥🔥
The only googan that doesn't require constant volume adjustments to avoid ear blasts. LFG is #1!
14:16 As he was saying how many carp are in there one swam right by the boat 😂 Another great video!
Am I the only one that heard LFGs bubble gut go off 🤣 9:58
This is why I've watched you for years bro. Only you will do a Crappie vid during the spawn. Bravo 👏
It's a good day when LFG uploads!
Great video LFG!!! Crispy time. Enjoy.
14:21 fish swam right by the boat as he's unhooking the carp lol.
Magnolia carppies! Those are the hybrids with the stripe down the middle
Caught a few handful in NC

Beautiful Crappies! Love this pattern, I'm going to try this in Kansas when they get going.
Awesome episode Brother 👊🏼😎🤙🏼🫡
14:21 fish swimming out from under your boat looked like a crappie lol

Here in Mississippi we always called those striped ones magnolias. They are definitely more colorful in the spawn than the black and white varieties

Great video Justin!
We still have ice on all the lakes up here but man does this get me fired up for the open water season!
Dont wait get a chopping pole and start breaking that boat landing out. Or you dont know crappie

That looked like a lot of fun.
Damn nice crappie!
Carp definitely fight good, I've caught some on small ned rigs.
LFG retains his title as the livescope/sight fishing Carp King!!
Nicely Done.
Magnolia crappie sir
Lol, fishermen's reply to " quit fishing my dock!!!"
Good video per always buddy! Gotta love the googan ultra light! My two piece has treated me well so far. But I gotta know what line you use! I love the look of it
I wanna see you go to Lake Okeechobee and fish for some crappie
We call them black nose crappie in Alabama
It's been my experience that they would be much less finicky if you were using two pound test line in such clear water. Love your channel.
💜🎣My Favorite Googan Squad Member💜🎣
Awesome vid! Was this Lake Whitney?
Your breakfest looked amazing, made me hungry!!!!
The "multi-species" king
Magnolia crappie occur naturally as a color variant of the black crappie. The state of MS raises and stocks sterile magnolia crappie in their state.
You should play the crappie guitar while getting the tattoo!
Big fish swam under his boat at 14:20
I caught some crappie with stripes on their back too on my last crappie video. Never seen em before
Something I used today that was absolute fire was a snacky swimmer on whatever size jig head for your conditions but pinch off the tail just at the paddle and it is a absolute fire vertical jig
Ngl lag lunkers says your bad with good content I say your the best at fishing and the best at content
1.03 sounded like a t-rex from jurassic Park 😳 😅
"The Real Live Scope" 👍
What rod power and action are you using on these? Braid to floro leader?
Yumm Golden Crispies
Would be awesome if there is a polarized lense fishing channels could put on their GoPro so we can see what they are seeing.

You should put you cooking on the Lake Life channel
Need to get a polarized camera lense!
Pro blue red is impossible to say three times fast 😂could of sworn you sight fished the same crappie at 11:15 on your last vid ?

I caught a carp the other day on a hand tied crappie jig first for me also!!! 😂
Yeh, Justin. I just watched you fish crappie with your Dad and eat the eggs with Stephanie. You're a cool dude. I can tell it comes from your Dad.
Caught more bass ON ACCIDENT in one outting than what I'll catch all spawn around my parts 😂
Same! 😅
What lake is this your fishing? I love fishing for crappie
more than likely LBJ or PK
The ones that are really colored up dark black are male crappie. Both white and black male crappie get very dark during the spawn.
That black line down their nose doesn't mean they are hybrids, some crappie have it but most don't. It's just a marking kind of like when some bass have black marks on them.
Magnolia crappie??
Crappie are spawning in Virginia too
So the crappie with the black line is a magnolia crappie, they are very common now.
