My father got me fishing as a child and I was instantly addicted ! My favorite memories are fishing with my father ! It's been 18 years since the cancer took him from us, but I still always think about and talk to him while I do what we both bonded over !

I am 56 my dad is 88. His favorite is fly fishing for spawning Bluegill. We got about 2 months to go for another year of it. 2 years ago they were on fire. Last year wasn't very good. Hope we get one more good one.

Didn't have to buy any Clutches this season. Pickwick Lake rose high several times this winter and each time the water dropped towards winter pool, I would walk a section of bank that a lot of boats would toss lipless and other crankbaits along and would pick them off snags. Ended up with eight Googan clutches of various colors and I lost count of how many Rapala DT series cranks I've collected. This weekend alone, I acquired probably $200 worth of jerkbaits, crankbaits, lipless, and a few chatterbaits. Two of the jerkbaits were Megabass 110's. 😂😂😂 This is free bait season for me.
Definitely my dream to have a boat like that to take my dad out one day!

I always keep 2 of those color klutch lipless cranks and the new Brite red craw color also they slay in early spring and so do the googan jerkbaits 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I just realized I met your dad back in 2010 & possibly 2011. I dropped off trailer's at his center weekly. You should give him a googan gold series as well! He deserves a gold series rod after taking a all day roasting from you about being one ounce short😂

It went from 91 degrees to 38 over here in west texas…the temperature changes are wild over here i never know
Whats gonna happen with the water temps…some days I’ll think its gonna be upper 50s to 60s and its low 50s or i’ll think ittl be low 50s and its 62 man its hard to predict when the night temps swing so much

Good catches, good to see ol LfD in the mix again. One thing to add to cranking speed. If you wanna run super deep water and troll, lower the ratio farther down. Even like a 5.6 round reel can be as nice as it gets. Plus plenty of line capicity.

Really enjoyed watching you fish with your dad. Both of you caught some fatties. I just ordered my first boat. My fokes are retired now and since I bought a boat they are all fired up to go do a little dangle as you say. The last time I fished with them I was seven and we were with my grand parents in grandpa's aluminum boat and it was a twelve foot on Roosevelt lake in Arizona. Now I'm 43 and looking for new memories. Have a good session.
