I particularly love music from the late 90s, my 3 favorite are: Generation Swine, Mechanical Animals from Manson, and Pop from U2. I simply feel like one band could play a song from the other among these 3 albums. This Crue album has a special place in my heart
Agree with your top 3 completely! Too fast & Shout are always tied for #1 on my list. It's so hard to pick!
What's the rest of your list?
Dude I’m a huge Motley Crue fan and I thought no one talked abt them on UA-cam but I was wrong this is sick!
Thanks man!
great motley shirt, yes love shout at the devil '97, great vlog today, love your work, you explained each album well
Thanks so much Felipe - you're probably the biggest supporter of my channel and I really appreciate you!
@@realloganshow it's always a pleasure to hear what you report on, so glad youtube recommended your channel, your in my top 5 music reporting vlogs, there is no dribble in your reports and everything you've done is about the music i like and it's great to listen to, but with john #5 replacing mick mars, it's like motley who not crue now, you rock logan, crue fans are the best f*%#@k the rest
Just found the channel. I’m 36. When I was like 15 I was really into heavy stuff like manson limp bizkit typical 2002 stuff haha. On a road trip with my uncle he put the “cd” { I feel old haha} shout in. I never really heard any crue before and was like what is the garbage. By helter skelter I was hooked. When we got home I discovered my dad had the original 5 crue albums and discovering each one was its own religious experience haha. I would spend hours on the motley forums debating things like this in your video. When they announced the comeback I went to go see them with my dad and it is still one of the best nights of my life. They played 2.5 hours and so many good songs. I’ve seen them 6 times since but that first one will always be my favorite. It’s funny for whatever reason I never listed to tMC94 until about a year ago and it’s so freaking good. I think one of the things that separates MC from other bands is that every album sounds so unique. Love the channel.
Awesome story. Thanks so much Jeremy
Just reread The Dirt and listened to the whole MC discography. That self titled album really stood out to me. What a great album, it needs more love. I get that people don’t like it because it doesn’t sound like classic Crue, but I’d urge people to give it another listen keep an open mind.
New tattoo..had the title track.. punched in the teeth by love and white punks on dope were great...
My ranking for the Motley Crüe albums would be
9. Generation Swine
8. New Tattoo
7. Theatre Of Pain
6. Saints Of Los Angeles
5. Girls Girls Girls
4. Motley Crüe
3. Dr Feelgood
2. Too Fast For Love
1. Shout At The Devil
9-Motley Crue
8-New Tattoo
7-Girls Girls Girls
6-Generation Swine
5-Dr Feelgood
4-Theatre of Pain
3-S.O.L.A
2-Too Fast For Love
1-Shout At The Devil
Glad to see SOLA so high on someone else's list! Not a fan of the Corabi-era though, huh?
Punched in the teeth by love is the best song on new tattoo. I like the album but Tommys rapid fire space filling is sorely missed. My biggest issue is the production value. It sounds like it was recorded in a tin shed.
This is my worthless 2 cents:
9). Gen Swine doesn't sound like motley at all. Fine Myself and Rat Like Me the only tunes worth a damn. Afraid is ok, but also not Motley at all.
8). New Tattoo. A bunch of decent 'album tracks/deep cuts', but without any big hits. Like a steady B-/C+ tunes with no A's(kinda the opposite of so many Motley albums).
7). Saints of LA. This is tough, cuz it's essentially a sixx AM album with Vince on vox, but I like a bunch of these tunes.
6). Feelgood couple of killer Tracks, couple good ones, and a buttload of filler
5). Girls... I think it's got better deep tracks than most seem to think.
4). Theater, same as 5.
4&5 are sooo close
3). Motley Corabi The best written and recorded music in this band, shoulda been called something else
2). TFFL
1). Shout at the Devil
I love generation swine it's an awesome album and so is new tattoo
Totally agree but I would put self titled at number 7
Dr.Feelgood, Girls Girls Girls and Shout At The Devil, exactly in that order, are my favorite Motley Crue albums...I didn't like Generation Swine, New Tattoo and Motley Crue at all, I didn't like Theatre Of Pain as well, I think that it's kinda overrated...Too Fast For Love and Saints Of Los Angeles were decent...at least SOLA was better than Motley Crue, Generation Swine and New Tattoo
The "94" S/T with John Corabi is musically their best by far
Then Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil.
The rest aren't that great IMO
Oh I totally disagree about 8&9. Gen Swine is garbage.
The reworked Shout is unnecessary garbage. I'm completely shocked at your take on that album and remake.
Tatoo isn't great, it's lacking any hits. But I'll take an album full of 'album cuts' over garbage.
Oh well, to each our own.
