Im a long time Steel Panther fan. And ironically every time I was in CA for work they were fucking gigging in my home country! It really sucked! Then in 2017 I fly home from a job, also with an award in my pocket for best FX for a little US indie horror and I see Steel Panther is playing at the Whiskey the night before I leave. So I left Oceanside (where we shot that series I worked for) to LA. I stop at the Whiskey box office because online they were sold out and I figured maybe a friendly smile could help. But nope… so a bit defeated I drove to Ventura to a Vintage Guitar Shop and there was a US Charvel (new model dat from vintage) for 700 bucks. So that filled my sadness. So they guy there asked why I fell for the Charvel. So I said: “80s metal dude! I have a Mexican at home and you do need an American too. And of course now Russel Parish aka Satchel is playing Charvel.” And he’s like: “are you going to the gig tonight?” So I explained the whole thing about always missing them. And he’s like: “stay here, let’s see if I can set you up. I’m going there I know some people.” And sure enough he pulled through and I saw Steel Panther at the bleeding Whiskey! Now back home, I’m asked for our web show to do a safe promotion video using Condoms that would be received well by teens. So I threw this together on the steel panther song. The girl running the Steel Panther fan club got in touch with them to see if we could use their song. I was just thinking how phenomenal it is to be familiar with the same shows, and I was. I dont know how many other females know anything about the show "Hee Haw" , Roy Clarke, Minnie Pearl, but fortunately for ne, I grew up with an immediate family, uncles namely in Blue Ridge, Va and Mt Airy NC who actually played banjo , plus the fact that Ice listened to music from a wide array of music from Manson to Mozart! This would be the 2nd video Ive watched concerning John 5 and I tell ya, I like this guy.
