Hi there! I am a lifelong southern girl, born and raised in Memphis......my mom loves dirty rice and used to make it often but she no longer cooks and turned 85 this week. I found your recipe after reviewing MANY and I knew this would be the one(good cooks just know). I followed it exactly and made it for my parents today and HOLY MOLY 🤩 it is freaking delicious. I made a skillet of cornbread and seriously it is truly scrumptious!! Thanks so much and I look forward to trying other recipes now that I have found you and subscribed! Great Job! 👏
Thank You SO MUCH 🙌🏾. Comments like these let me know its all worth while. I consulted with my aunties on this one. It's a family recipe for sure. Thanks again! Tell a friend 😁🙏🏾
With all that dancing, ...I bet that you watch Kent Rollings. You have the best recipe on UA-cam for this Dirty Rice. Thank you. I also subscribed and 👍 up.
“Askyamommanem!” Lol love that! I use the frozen onion/celery/pepper blend too but I let em thaw on paper towels because all that ice melting makes em soggy. I guess cooking them from frozen the water will steam off so probably wasting my time doing that.
That looks amazing. I live in Florida but I'm only a 3 hour drive from New Orleans and have spent plenty of time there over the years. I love the food so much and I can't wait to make this recipe myself. Thank you brother. God bless.
i was told i make fantastic dirty rice. i made up my own recipe after watching a few videos. I don’t use sausage. i use ground beef. it takes about 3 full hours from prepping my veggies to the final result. I cook my chicken livers separately, as i do my rice, and ground beef. When the livers are cool enough to handle i put on some disposable gloves and use my hands to break them down, and remove any tendons. i have to agree with my 3 male taste testers. I insist they top it with Crystal hot sauce, and to make the best accompaniment i cook red beans using bacon. I’m Texan, and most of my family loves cajun creole cooking. My brother states mine is way better than Pappadeaux’s👍
You from New Orleans or from Memphis “mane”?!! I hear little of that Memphis language/dialect. Anywho looks delicious, but I never tried it with precooked rice. Always cook it all together…one pot meal. But now I can use that leftover rice! LOL.
I'm about to make this tonight. How do you mince your chicken livers? I don't have a food processor. Will a knife work to chip finely? Some recipes I've seen online said to mince it. Is that necessary??
🤣🤣🤣 Yup Chicken Livers. Wild I been eating dirty rice my whole life and didn't know they were in there. Thanks for watching! Share and subscribe please 😁🙌🏾
