The technicality of the lighting dude is freaking mind-blowing!! Every single note and rhythm is accounted for, perfectly!! I'm going to see them in Dallas on the 12th, even if I have to lose everything! The song Bleed literally kept me from killing myself because it literally gave my insides life again! So in essence, Meshuggah saved my life! 🤘 I unfortunately didn't find them until almost 2018 but I'm a fan for life 💯
He produces it on top of their clicktrack. It’s automated. So most of the stuff is pre produced, which is insane too. Saw them live twice and it was incredible every time. I‘m going to every show near me. Never disappoints. :D
Meshuggah’s music is on an entire different sonic plane than anyone else. This is the visual embodiment of that. I can’t imagine Meshuggah without it. Your hard work to match the musical mayhem with appropriate visuals is greatly appreciated. Can’t wait to come see you all on this tour cycle. Cheers.
Oh man.. I'm so excited to see they're playing this live! Gives me faith that Tomas is gonna be right back at it playing demanding tracks... I'm gonna hope and pray they play clockworks, my favorite track
This one of the best if not the best example of a marriage between lights and music. As a lighting design teacher I use this vid as an example to show my students ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Man this is absolutely incredible! I love the use of the zoom in the floor package for that throbbing effect. Very clever! Also, your colour palettes are always 👌👌👌 AMAZING.
It's so surreal to feel so immersed in a video of a lighting rehearsal, but the atmosphere is palpable. I watched the whole thing and at the end just was anticipating the screaming of the crowd. Genuinely so cool to watch. Would be amazing live.
If I wasn't afraid of heights I would definitely be a lighting guy. This is so fucking cool and on-point! Can't imagine the fine work that went into this! I used to be a stagehand at a venue, but I can't get up on a ladder because of my fear. I've always been a HUGE fan of great lighting at shows. Great work!!!!
Absolutely brilliant! Remember I was so impressed with the light show at The Forum in London a few years ago, that I wrote you a message. Can't wait to see this in London, June 3rd. Tickets arrived today.
jesus man, this is so cool. Stumbled on a 10 year old clip of you manually activating some lights and wow, my mind is open to a whole new level of art.
Meshuggah is already one of the best live bands ever to grace this earth but you really propel them onto another planet with this lightshow. it's so on point. best lightshow i have ever seen. That being said, I was watching them yesterday in Switzerland and there was one song about mid set or maybe a bit later where it looked like you were shooting blue alien laser gattling guns from the side of the stage in sync to the kick drum. can't recall the song for the life of me though. it wasn't a lot of doublebass but rather some broken up kick pattern. it was the highlight of the show for me. do you know which song i mean by chance?
@@danielmartonkovacs3278 Bingo, that's it!!!! thanks a lot my dude! There's a 22 show from vienna with exactly the lightshow i was looking for. awesome.
Videos like this make my day shine! Keep this going please. I want to check them live just because of these videos, lights make perfect sense. Hugs from Portugal
I mean the dude from Phish rules.. check out their MSG show from this year. Some of the most insane lighting you've ever seen. No doubt Edvard would do the same with that kind of budget.
Bought tickets. For the US. Haven’t seen them since oct 2016 or something. Had to leave because I couldn’t handle looking at these lights. Lmao. Can’t wait!!
Thank you Edvard for sharing this with us and thank you Meshuggah for existing. There's not a better combination of geniuses working together. I wish you could share all your work from Immutable here cause there isn't a better promo for their album. 10/10.
Saw them in Zurich last night, another unbelievable show of sound and light. Tomas was ripping the most fantastic music during the fills on some of the older songs, off the chain and yet so on point. Astonishing.
This is amazing. You make the shows incredible. Does the band just put full faith in the crew and perform to what they create or do they have some input for changes they want?
The lighting guy is basically apart of the band, to be able to sync up the lighting with their crazy rhythms like that 😮

@Sterling Simmons Arts This is Edvard’s Hansson’s actual channel brother.

*A part. 'Apart' would be the opposite. :)
The subtle flash in the background that syncs with the backbeat cymbal in the verse is fucking insaaaane
Edvard is another member of the band. Meshuggah won´t be the same live without him.

It looked and sounded absolutely nuts during their first show in Tilburg, NL 🤘🏼. Lot to look forward to for whoever's lucky enough to see them soon!
Ik kon er helaas niet bij zijn, maar goed om te horen dat het leuk was Teun
Oh man.. I'm so excited to see they're playing this live! Gives me faith that Tomas is gonna be right back at it playing demanding tracks... I'm gonna hope and pray they play clockworks, my favorite track
Seen them yesterday live and to hear this song live was amazing. They didnt play clockworks tho but the setlist was perfect imo
Yeah man mostly he be choosing plays tracks that are not demanding at all I guess
@@EricGuenther bro he played bleed for years wht u mean
You aren’t wrong clockworks goes hard af
I saw it live in Tilburg on their first show since ages. It was SO GOOD!!!
Loved the solo part! Awesome to see those beams in unison with the alien solo 👽
Lol Alien solo :D
I thought about falling down a tunnel of a chaotic matrix code

Get to see this in the flesh on Wednesday 🥵🥵
It must be electrifying having the kick patterns of your song light up the room.
Spectacular on every level. This cat is as innovative in lighting design as Meshuggah is with their music.
Man this is absolutely incredible!

The lighting on this tour was out of this world.
Yes!! Seeing Meshuggah tonight for the first time and I was looking forward to your lighting ever since i bought the tickets back in 2019!!!
My god this is beyond amazing.
Amazing. Seeing them in London in a couple of weeks. First time, gonna be mind blowing.
Whatever your expectations are, multiply them by 10
They were unreal in Manchester. One of the best setlists in years as well
I will be wearing a pair of sunglasses when I see them live😎
Maybe a welding mask!
Some of those trippy halo kaleidoscope color glasses
Absolutely brilliant! Remember I was so impressed with the light show at The Forum in London a few years ago, that I wrote you a message. Can't wait to see this in London, June 3rd. Tickets arrived today.
So sick! Can't wait to see this in person later this year.
Their light tech/designer is the best in the game!! Much props!!
This was just engaging on so many levels. Why am I sitting here watching it again?!?! Great video concept and I hope to see more of these.
jesus man, this is so cool. Stumbled on a 10 year old clip of you manually activating some lights and wow, my mind is open to a whole new level of art.

Didn't see them in Switzerland, but browsing the setlist, there's a title that fits your description: Born in Dissonance.

Graspop 2018
The part where the moving heads "jump" one over is just devastating. Such a little thing, but because of the scale of it that little thing slams hard.
Such AMAZING work! Best light show on the planet!
Can't wait to see this live! Looking good \m/
You're the king Ed, nobody better in the industry

A month away from seeing them live for the first time, so fucking ready ❤
It's not as seizure inducing as last tour, now that it is much less flashing lights all around, though that is for a good thing.
Until they play Clockworks
@@MrObsidus aahh, that would mean The Abysmal Eye has less likely for people to dance on the floor. Good to know.
