      56 years old. He will be able to do this still at 60 which is crazy. Tech would exist to assist him by then if not already.

    Interesting that Tomas Haake plays straight quarter notes on the china/trash during the verse instead of half notes on the upbeat like he does on the album. Gives it an entirely different feel.
    Thanks for recording this awesome band.

      @Hamid reza Moeeni Ara Yeah.... I mean Thomas is around 55 at this point.... this song is hard to play.

      @Hamid reza Moeeni Ara I think it’s not the case that Thomas messed up (it keeps on going - don’t you think he would recover?) I think he had some problem with pedal it’s self: you clearly can hear that sometimes it adds an additional kick randomly. And at the end (slow heavy part) - all is good, coz I think Thomas used one pedal at the point.

    • @TunnelJumper
      @TunnelJumper Рік тому +4

      @@philipcroaton2072 He’s using triggers with no mics for backup so that’s why it sounds so inconsistent. I think he’s got the brain set to only fire when the triggers pick up strokes above certain velocity so if he doesn’t consistently hit hard enough, some samples will just not be sent to the PA. It’s okay for the other songs because the strokes are much more sparse so he can hit them with full power but for this song in particular.. Of course he’s not going to be able to stomp each and every stroke at full velocity so a bunch of them are going to miss.

      @@Pruane35ForeverBut this is metal festival... I saw Meshuggah first time live in Off Festival in Poland - that's mostly Indie festival, and there's almost no metal there. But the public went CRAZY on that show. Maybe because they had too much energy from just standing on Sonic Youth clones sets :)

    If I was there I would probably be kicked out of the concert for disturbing the peace in the crowd while head headbanging, mosh & circle piting like a fakking maniac for my self to one of my absolutely favorite bands...This is the typical Swedish polite head nodding when they are really enjoying them selves. Haha, When DOWN played in Sweden ages ago Phil Anselmo commented on the head nodding at the concert and it was funny as hell. 🤘🤘😁😁
