I wish the shows today were more family-based, lesson learning, with storylines that kept one's attention glued to the screen. Our kids are grown & have their own families, but they still refer at times "Remember that episode on the Walton's?" to this much-loved series. They were a treasure.
I completely agree with you. It's wonderful to hear that even though your kids have grown and started their own families, they still fondly remember and refer to episodes from "The Waltons." The show's family-based, lesson-learning approach, along with captivating storylines, made it a treasure that resonated with viewers. It's understandable to wish for more shows like that today, as they have a lasting impact on both entertainment and values.
We need more shows showing what real families were really like years ago. I miss this show and the entire cast. Of those who passed away, Your Memory will be our Blessing. Rest in Peace while we thank you all for the Memories. 💕💕
I'm 63 and live in the UK. I loved this show and have fond memories of watching it. There were 6 of us in our family including my parents. My brother is 2 years older than me and he's called John. At bedtime we'd all call out goodnight to each other, ending with 'good night John boy'!! It was such a loving and happy home - just like the Walton!! Sadly, my dad died in 1995. My mother is 89 and lives with my youngest sister. I live alone, and my other sister lives with her boyfriend of 34 years, and my brother lives away with his family. It's very lonely without my lovely family. So this brought back wonderful memories of bygone years. 😊
Wow we were 8 kids lived in the country where maybe two neighbors but not close by. Four girls two boys and my Little brother was my best friend ...he passed last yr but both my parents passed at 70 & 71 over 25 years ago. I miss our childhood days too! We also did the goodnight name every night I'm actually Elizabeth but we'd keep it up longer than we should have until my Dad would say Now enough go to sleep .We're all in our 60s up to74 ...It does seem lonely until my grandchildren drop by! I have 3 adult children I'm blessed really .
The wisdom shared by John and Olivia to their children is what I love. If only we could have them now our world could be better If we followed "love one another".
You're absolutely right! The wisdom and values shared by John and Olivia on "The Waltons" were truly inspiring. Their emphasis on love and treating one another with kindness is something our world could definitely benefit from today. If we all embraced the principle of "love one another," it would undoubtedly contribute to making our world a better place.
But it wasn't real, Will Greer was a Communist, most of them like most actors have serious emotional problems with substance abuse. Hollywood like the MSM is fake and a deception.
I Miss the Walton's mainly, because of the Wisdom & Values that were at that time, didn't remain the same for later generations! And alot kids during this time, Now are Totally Clueless as to having Respect for other's, and don't actually take the time to think of the consequences before they react to something!! Bring Back Good Family Values‼️👍
I miss the Waltons. I wish it was still on TV. I' m 74 and my Dad died at 61 when I was 35. Mr Walton looked like my Dad. I quess he was my favorite character, but I really loved everyone. Sometimes I dream of having everyone in my family. I grew up being an only child.
Its still on t.V on those network that show all the old shows I watch it over and over and choose which season to watch . I live in California not sure which other states play the best of our childhood days. Hope you can find one .
"The Waltons" was a masterpiece of writing, plot, acting and directing that has never been topped. The episodes are as fresh and relevant a half-century later as they were when first aired. Every character was beautifully defined and complete in itself. I loved all the family members, but John-Boy was my ultimate favorite. He should never have left the show.
You're absolutely right! The beauty of "The Waltons" was the way the entire family ensemble came together to create a heartwarming and harmonious atmosphere. Each character played a vital role in making the show special, and it was the collective presence of the family that made our hearts sing. It's the strong bond and love among them that truly captured the essence of the series.
Beautifully presented video of all the cast and given with such respect for them all, i must have watched ever episode, wouldn't it be a great world if we all had their values and kindness that was shown in every episode ,
I watched the show every day with my then 2yr old daughter !!! I thought Erin was so beautiful and gave my daughter that as her middle name !!! My daughter loved Elizabeth!! The show was so warm and engaging!!! One of my all time favorites!!!
Will Greer as Zebulon. He and Esther had a symbiosis that kept the family together. Then when Will Greer passed away, the family seemed to follow the rules of Zebulon or you can feel his memory in the series. But it was never the same. Kudos to the writers and the "goodnights" at the end of the show
The Waltons was based on strong bonds, resilience, and unwavering love for one another; their portrayal can be compared to an Irish family of that time, emphasising the importance of family, community support, and the enduring spirit in the face of challenging times.
I thought it was sweet that even after the grandma had a stroke they still had her on the show since she still wanted to work. She struggled to speak but you could understand her. I just thought that was so sweet.
I loved the whole cast of the "Waltons". They were so "down to earth" in that series. I really miss those old shows. It's too bad they can't make programs like that any more. The stuff they portray on television today is, well, crap, in my opinion.

I loved all equally too. I miss those times with so much in each story telling. It had love, kindness, life lessons, morals, value of others and what each person in life can and do offer. Miss it so much but I do have all episodes and I like watching it on TV any time. ❤
I love them all! But I had a huge crush on Richard Thomas. Worked as an extra with my Mother for several years on the show. A wonderful memory. Lots of love and laughter is what I remember most.
Miss this kind of programming. I watched it with my parents every week. You left it with a lesson learned. You wanted to be a part of the family. Miss those days.
I identified with the Waltons because I’m from a large family of eleven kids. I always felt good after watching an episode and still do. Thank you cast members for giving us all such a great show!
The Walton’s is one of my favorite shows….. I still watch it to this day…. ! It was a show with good family values and always love, no matter the hardships they endured during those hard times….. My father, solely missed, had told us stories of growing up during those trying times…… I don’t know if a lot of people today would have such strength and endurance of such graceful ease of what it would take to stay together and have hope Of a better world….. it’s heartfelt stories of good, bad, sorrow, always had the love that kept it altogether…..❤
The show is the best. It is just fantastic. The love and understanding that existed among the family can't be matched or overlooked. I watch it every day. It reminds me of my family. We lived a farm with 13 children with similar duties, events, and experiences. How I cherish and treasure the life we shared as a family and will forever adore that time. All of the characters were great, but John Boy was my favorite.
I grew up watching the series and loved all of them. Grandma and Grandpa are by far the faves. The very first movie The Walton's Christmas 'Home Coming' With Patricia Neal is my favorite. Still miss them all today.
Erin Walton was my favorite. I named my first born after her. I was inspired by the episode where a deer was going to be a household pet, but then was released back out to the wilderness!

It was a favorite always in my home when I was raising a very young family and we watched the reruns too! They don't make them like that anymore. It was such a staple and it was free.
I loved this show and now it makes me sad. It seems like yesterday when this came on and Mama and me and my sister would have something good to eat and watch it together. Daddy was usually working but sometimes he’d be home to watch too. I was a tween-teenager and my parents were in their 30s. Now Mama and Daddy are gone and I’m an old woman.
Thank you to all those responsible for creating and continuing to bring the Walton's into my home. I am 93 years old and still watch the Walton's at least three or four times each week. I pray that we are blessed with more programs like the Walton's, free of foul language and other garbage which is now so common on TV and in real life. Thanks
I always loved when the Baldwin Sisters were featured. I especially recall their Christmas tree in the pilot episode, lit with candles. To this day, I have wax candles clipped to my Christmas trees, but they're only lit briefly for a photo shot.
I love them all it was just like being at home, we had nine in our bunch and it look just like the Waltons! It was a great show, I’m 76 now and still watch it every time I get a chance! My all time favorite show, use to watch this with my parents when I was a teenager. I still love to watch it, because of its strong family values. It warms my heart.💕💕

Thank you for the video. I could not choose a favorite character of The Waltons. I loved the series, and it was always a great time to fade into another point in time. The choice of characters was as close to perfect as could be, and the stories were great.
The Walton's family is then and now the best show I ever seen as a great family on TV ,I still see all the repeats always ,sad for grandma, grandpa and Ralph the father who pass away in the years the show ended God bless the Walton's family 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The patriotism that was displayed on the Waltons in so many ways needs to be heeded during these times of hate , anti-truth and anti-democracy . The Waltons are more important than ever.
I absolutely love what you said here. It cuts deep and it is the truth. I have begun to regret the invention of computers and most electronics because its ruling this world and no one cares where their food is coming from and we no longer have farms that produce the best nutritious foods from meats to vegetables. It’s those farms that will sustain us but no one wants to farm anymore and seem to not care anymore about the next person.
OMG so true people we could look up to and try to be like.... When your young you think life is all about you and It's not, it's about the people you bring in to your life to make your self better ..
I did like the Mary Ellen character on the show, but even more I like the actress, Judy Norton Taylor, who played her. I see that she's the one person from the show who has kindly given us organized info on what it was like to be on the Waltons set in those days. She tells us all this in such a pleasant, friendly manner with such good humor that I see her as a super-nice, quality person. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Kami Cotter dies too. She is now school teacher. With the exception of Richard Thomas and Michael Learned, most living cast members went off to other things and bid Hollywood goodbye.
Yes, Judy Norton has an impeccable Channel, organized, detailed and so welcoming to view. For someone to invest so much of their time (As She responds and engages her viewers unparalleled to other celebrities) - she must be one very giving person, and she is also very diplomatic, and non-judgemental. She is loved and revered by many. The Waltons is everlasting. A real groundbreaker in many of their episodes.
I really love that show ❤, I still watch the reruns everyday...I am almost 67 years old so I've seen a lot of reruns..but they never get boring or obnoxious, every time they come on its just like watching the first season for me, I wish they still made clean, descent, family oriented shows like this...in fact I used to imagine that the Waltons were my neighbors but then I would come back to reality 😢☹
Never got tired of the wonderful Walton family's acting ability and interesting lives they led!!!!
Need more shows with family values today. Our world would be a better place.
Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

I enjoyed the whole cast I still watch reruns every morning and night. I have the whole series on dvd included my the weddings. I enjoy the show and brings me back to my childhood memories. Thank you for the show♥️♥️♥️
Loved them all, such a good example as a family
OMG! I LOVED THEM ALL!!❤❤❤😊it was the Very Best Series of ALL TIME! Thanks so much for sharing!❤❤❤
Such good wholesome TV back in those days! We always watched this show as a family. Certainly miss these type shows.
ALL the Waltons were wonderful. I am 79 yrs old and enjoying the re-runs. Thanks.
I still watch the reruns to this day family values aren't like this anymore, families have lost respect for one another these days and times if u ain't rolling with them they will turn on u in a hot minute
My all time favorite show, use to watch this with my parents when I was a teenager. I still love to watch it, because of its strong family values. It warms my heart.💕💕
I miss all of them, was a very good show. I still watch the show all the time 🙏

Thank you for the video. I could not choose a favorite character of The Waltons. I loved the series, and it was always a great time to fade into another point in time. The choice of characters was as close to perfect as could be, and the stories were great.
Will Geer and Judy Norton were my favourites. I still enjoy getting out the DVDs and watching this wonderful series.
Judy Norton has a UA-cam channel, she just interviewed "Olivia", Michael Learned.
I'm not sure how to spell her last name !
The Walton's family is then and now the best show I ever seen as a great family on TV ,I still see all the repeats always ,sad for grandma, grandpa and Ralph the father who pass away in the years the show ended God bless the Walton's family 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful show. I still miss the loving wholesome shows. Thank you for your story.
So very well said!
Loved this show!! Still watch it through streaming!! Such good acting & stories!!
This show, together with MASH: best series ever made...
OMG so true people we could look up to and try to be like.... When your young you think life is all about you and It's not, it's about the people you bring in to your life to make your self better ..
This was a good informative documentary of a show I grew up watching when television stil had quality tv
This show taught me alot of things that could only improve mankind 😊😊😊
I still watch it every day and have no plans of stopping. It's my favorite show.
I can't pick a favorite person on The Walton's cause I liked all of them. They were the top of the line actor's.
Great show with family values i was born in 1970 and remember it sitting and watching it back then loved it.................
Does not dies. Sorry. Kami is a teacher.
@TheLitehart 1 - She is divorced from Mr . Taylor, she goes by Judy Norton .
I absolutely love this show. It's so sad that those days have gone by. It's so hard to pick a favorite. Loved them all. Ty for sharing.
Grew up watching the Waltons.... thanks for the memories, keep them coming...loved and subscribed! Cheers from Oz....
I actually loved All the characters. I miss this show and all the other wholesome shows from that time, and when TV was fun to watch.
I’m currently watching The Waltons. I love this wholesome family. I know it’s just a show but I enjoy watching.
