Check out "God Friended Me" on CBS ( you can view episodes on their website). Great show! Brand new last Fall. No, it's not a churchy-feely show, it's a reality based on a professed atheist (with a priest for a father) and how God uses him to help others and change the world. Probably won't last long because it is clean and uplifting, but it's fantastic! Also, "Heartland" offered by CBC (Canada) is a winner! They're loved by the world and are in their 12th season. You can watch it on PureFlix.com and on UA-cam (just the earlier seasons). Great, wholesome, uplifting entertainment. :-)

John boy was the waltons… loved him so much… I’m 50 in 2 months and I watch the waltons every day.. it keeps me young keeps me happy .. love love love it 🥰 xx
The Waltons were my escape from my childhood reality, in a sense they were my family and I thank God that to this day I still feel the same way, I wish children from this day and age had the same kind of role models as we did back in the 70’s . Good night daddy
Thank God for him and his real family life that gave us this amazing show. I adored the Walton's when I was young, I used to sit and watch it with the rest of my family and we'd do the typical Walton's goodnight call to each other for a laugh as we had a big family too, and I always wanted to go and live in the mountains like them. Happy days, happy memories we grew up watching them grow up. It was just lovely . Hi from England 🙋💞

I wish for times like the Walton's for my grandchildren. They are growing up so fast and always have their noses in a computer or video game. They know nothing about growing most of what you eat or having hard times. I love this show and always will ❤️
Best tv show, done a great job in the reality of how people lived back then in that region, & Johnboy was so much like my big brother it really brings back such sweet memories of him ❤
I remember going over to my grandparent's house and watching The Waltons with my cousin's every week for years . I still love to watch the reruns . It will always be one of my favorite t.v. shows. I also remember spending the night with my other grandparent's and I would always sleep with my Granny . My Pawpaw would sleep in the spare bedroom , and my uncle that was only 3 yrs older than I would be in his bedroom. All of a sudden you would hear.....good night across the hall from my Granny's bedroom , but then my uncle would start cutting up . He'd say....good John boy . My grandparent's and I would start in on the fun . Good night ....Marie Ellen ...and so on . LOL!! We would laugh and laugh !! 🤣 Ah...the good ole days !! ❤ Makes me miss all of my grandparent's.
I love The Waltons and am able to watch the reruns on Insperation TV. Never ever was there a bad episode and the messages each show gave was beautiful.
The waltons remind me of my grandmother in north corolina me and 5 uncle and 4 aunts my grandmom treated me like her son when i visit sometime i cry because my grand and pop pop are gone now but i stay strong much as i can.but i get emotional when i watch the waltons but ima leave these words family is all a person have no matter much you have nothing can replace family good times or bad.
This video truly made my heart happy. Thank you so much for doing this. In my humble opinion, The Waltons was the best show to air on television, period! I get teary-eyed just THINKING about the joy this program has brought to me throughout my life.
@@BG3Productions I am an old soul at heart and watching The Waltons makes me yearn for a time depicted in this program. The simple life, yes, of struggles, but also a time of community, faith, and love. Today's society is so far from this. It truly saddens me.
While the waltons originally began almost 20 years before I was born (born in 1990), it's still and will always be one of my faviorte shows. Some of my best memories is watching it all over again with my grandma in reruns as a child. To this day it is the only show that can still suck me completely in.
Loved the show then and still love it today. I'll never get tired of watching the show over, and over again. Watched it every Thursday night at 8pm on CBS in the 70's.
I'm jealous you got to watch it live! I was born in the 90s and just discovered it on Amazon Prime. It's amazing! I can't believe how good it is. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I watch this show today on Me TV everyday, I wish they would run it in the evenings. I love to watch it while we are having supper. It remind 's me of when I was a child. This country need's to see these kind of show's. People could learn a lot about the values of life.
Like Johnboy said, this show really is timeless. I still watch it from time to time as a grown man and love it as much as when I was a wee lad. How many shows can claim this?
The Waltons is one of my all-time favorite shows. I watched it on CBS originally, and still watch it today. I have never gotten tired of it, and never will. I grew up in Nelson County, VA (the real-life Jefferson County), so that's another thing that made the show so popular with me.
I grew up with the Walton's, in the UK it came on on a Sunday morning .never rarely missed an episode and now we have repeats on True Movies 1am and 2am every night...you can't make these shows anymore . Thanks Walton family for keeping me company every Sunday morning..lovely memories. 😁😁😁
Will always love the Waltons. Probably my favorite show growing up. Wish we could have loving shows like this now that drew you into it like this one did. We actually loved those characters like they were OUR family.
It’s a warm hug. Who wouldn’t like a warm hug except for Frosty the Snowman? I own the DVD’s and although I watched it when it ran originally I love it more as an adult.
What really made this even better, if that's even possible, is the real actors and their love of each other on set and off set...the way they have lived their lives and treated their fans since this show, has been nothing short of greatness.
J-Mom I love this comment so much and completely agree with you. Their love for each other sets this show apart & makes it so special. Thanks for watching!
I have the entire series and when I get tired of the craziness in today's world I will watch episodes. We used to watch it in the 1970's in the evening as a family and I feel as if they are also my family.
I enjoyed this show as a child back in the 70's. Two days ago I found it on amazon prime seasons 1-9. What memories, I enjoyed each and every actor or actress on this series. I would like very much to meet these people and thank them for a show that I still enjoy 40+ years later.
I really loved Grandma and Grandpa!!!!!! You KNOW she loved Grandpa with all her heart and soul, even when he was hardheaded!!!! That kind of love will go on forever. I sure wish they would make shows like this again. This was the life we all dream of!!!! Goodnight, JohnBoy, goodnight everyone!!!!!! God bless you all!!!!
That show helped me when my parents got divorced when I was 11 years old watch it evey Thursday night and Escape reality for an hour now I got every episode on DVD including the reunions specials 🙂
I've grown old watching this Series since it began in the early 1970s ..it's such a beautiful drama ..family ..I'd watch it all over again ..Thankyou all the Cast for giving us so much Joy and Happiness throughout the decades ...we love you all ❤️ x
IT WOULD NEVER WORK TODAY WITH THIS NASTY WORLD AND DEVIOUS AND PERVERTED CHILDREN TODAY BUT AT LEAST I GOT TO LIVE IN THAT TIME OF THE WALTONS ON TV A TIME THAT WILL NEVER BE AGAIN.
they said exactly the same thing then, that it would never work then, it was a very turbulent time with Nixon and the war, they did not expect it to last the first season but people found it and loved it for the escape it gave them and it would work again if it was well written and acted
Think everybody watched The Waltons back in the seventies in the U.K. 'cos we didn't have many channels to choose from - not like the multitude today. It was shown on a Sunday evening, and was a mellow and wholesome end to a week. However, in my mind that iconic and instantly memorable theme music is forever linked to the sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that the weekend was over, and you had to go to school the next day - boo!
Such wonderful memories watching the show with my family. I had 4 brothers and 5 sisters all 1 to 2 years apart. We adopted the nightly routine of good night, John boy..... It was good memories!
Lory Lou you are truly blessed.. To me, family is Wealth and having a good upbringing with a loving supportive family is a wonderful foundation in life..
Loved The Waltons. I have 4 dvd boxsets so far. Good characters, good storylines, good actors. The show is repeated on certain channels, along with another good family show, Little House On The Prarie. Too much trash on 'normal' tv today...
This T.V. show "The Walton" was and is still my favorite thing to watch on T.V... Especially the earlier one seasons...as a matter of fact I was sooo jealous of them! I wanted the characters on this show to be my family...
One of the BEST shows ever made! I watched it during it's original run(+ got teased in school),and still watch it today. Bought it as soon as it was on video, then dvd. It is a timeless classic!
Absolutely loved the walton's and still do. The life messages that came from the show were outstanding! Everyone of the cast was perfect for their roll. Thanks to you all for a wonderful show!
THE SCENE WHERE RICHARD AND THE PARENTS AND GRANDPA, ARE ON THE PORCH AND HE IS GETTING READY TO TELL THEM HE IS LEAVING WALTONS MOUNTAINS, WOW THAT SCENE STILL MAKES ME CRY EVERYTIME I SEE IT. SO MOVING AND SO TOUCHING. THIS SHOW NEEDS TO BE SHOWN EVERYDAY ALL DAY ON TELEVISION. THE WORLD MAY NOT BE IN SUCH A DEPRESSED STATE NOW. THIS SHOW WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL SHOW. THANK YOU EARL HAMNER AND THANK YOU TO ALL THE CAST MEMBERS.
There never has been, nor will there ever be, another show as heartfelt, honest & moving as The Waltons. NONE of these people will ever know the effect they, their characters & the entirety of the series have had on MULTI MILLIONS of us around the world. It is simply TIMELESS.
This is the most wonderful show ever!! All of the actors played their parts magnificently. I had the pleasure of meeting Mary McDonough at a book signing, and she's just as gracious and sweet as you'd expect. My Mom, who lived through the Depression, watched the show when it first came out and she'd say, "We wore clothes like that! We did that!" I am a writer and loved John-Boy. His character, the real Earl Hamner, was sensitive but strong. I wish I could meet Mr. Thomas. He is so talented at getting to the heart of a character and expressing his emotions. I love the Waltons Hindenburg scene, when John-Boy was sent to write about its arrival. After it set on fire, he encountered a burned victim of the crash who spoke German to him. John-Boy replied, "I can't understand you!" And then he said over & over to himself, " I can't understand it." And his Daddy said, "Now you can write your story, Son." And wow, the anguish Mr. Thomas showed when he played Hank Williams, Jr., who fell down Ajax Mountain 500 feet and lost the right side of his face. Wow.
To this day I'm 65 years old and I still watch the Walton that is my favorite show it comes on four times a week Monday through Thursday from 4 to 5 and then I sit there with my husband watch it every night we never miss a night you could see the closest in all of them if there could be more shows like that what a better world it would be thank you Walton

This show is such an escape from such a brutal world. Should be required viewing in elementary school.
The world was more brutal back then.
Im am sure this person means the world is down right ignorant now, where as back than it was hard but people actually helped each other out. Today they watch you struggle
Bring back the show and the remaining cast! It would be a tremendous hit!
Sylvia Jean Adams I completely agree!
I wonder why they don't?
@@shebamaree9026 Because Earl Hamner isn't around to write it any more. I don't believe any of today's writers would give it the respect and love it deserves!
Its like an old song, don't remake it, it will never be the same.
RIP Grandma, Grandpa, Ike, Corabeth, Daddy, and anybody else that has passed.
The Reverend, played by John Ritter. Cant think of his character name

Laura Reinig Reverend Ford
The Baldwin Sisters, played by Helen Kleeb and Mary Jackson.
Also Zack Rosswell (John Sr.'s friend) played by James Gammon (who also was in Major League (movie))
I wish for times like the Walton's for my grandchildren. They are growing up so fast and always have their noses in a computer or video game. They know nothing about growing most of what you eat or having hard times. I love this show and always will ❤️
I love it and always will, too! Hopefully another new generation can watch this show on streaming & fall in love with it just the same.
Don't you worry...hard times are comin'.

Like Mark Of Beast. Will be hard for those who won't take it because it is against God.
I met Alot of the cast at a charity event in the 80's, they are wonderful people.
That's so awesome to hear! They seem like wonderful people.
I remember it being bedtime and laying in my bed and listening to the music of the Waltons with the opening credits. Just a cozy memory.......
Best tv show, done a great job in the reality of how people lived back then in that region, & Johnboy was so much like my big brother it really brings back such sweet memories of him ❤
I was born in Puerto Rico ,this was one of my favorite shows growing up in Connecticut. Long live the Walton's💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
June 2020 now and it is so disappointing to see any thumbs-downs on this video. I loved this show.
I still watch the Walton's every night... watching A Walton Easter now...love this show
I remember going over to my grandparent's house and watching The Waltons with my cousin's every week for years .
Aw, Bonnie, what a great comment to read! Thanks so much for watching.
No words can express what this show meant to me growing up and how it changed the course of my life.
The best cast writing ,warmest period piece..ever
Warmest period piece is such a great way to describe this show. I love it. Thanks!
I love The Waltons and am able to watch the reruns on Insperation TV. Never ever was there a bad episode and the messages each show gave was beautiful.
It really was wonderful. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I still watch it everyday, along with
Little house on the prairie 💕
Loved the Waltons. Alll the cast. Were so real.
Annie Maull I agree! ❤️
VLPRESL What a nice comment. Thank you for saying that! I agree wholeheartedly.
@@BG3Productions I am an old soul at heart and watching The Waltons makes me yearn for a time depicted in this program. The simple life, yes, of struggles, but also a time of community, faith, and love. Today's society is so far from this. It truly saddens me.
We we're very fortunate to grow up with the Waltons.......
My all-time favorite tv show
A world we need today!!
I agree!
It's impossible...we've DEVOLVED too much as a society and culture since this wonderful show debuted back in the early 1970's.
While the waltons originally began almost 20 years before I was born (born in 1990), it's still and will always be one of my faviorte shows. Some of my best memories is watching it all over again with my grandma in reruns as a child. To this day it is the only show that can still suck me completely in.
I grew up with the Waltons!
Jack Goldstein Oh, wow! What a great comment. Thank you!!
I grew up with the Walton's, in the UK it came on on a Sunday morning .never rarely missed an episode and now we have repeats on True Movies 1am and 2am every night...you can't make these shows anymore .
Thanks Walton family for keeping me company every Sunday morning..lovely memories. 😁😁😁
That's so cool. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Will always love the Waltons. Probably my favorite show growing up. Wish we could have loving shows like this now that drew you into it like this one did. We actually loved those characters like they were OUR family.
I agree. It was the best! Thanks for watching and commenting.
The Walton's has always been one of my favorite shows.
Sharon Chiles Mine, too! Thanks for watching!
It’s a warm hug. Who wouldn’t like a warm hug except for Frosty the Snowman? I own the DVD’s and although I watched it when it ran originally I love it more as an adult.
ibrake4butterflies I love it as an adult too! Thank you for this comment!
A masterpiece. Topics still relevant.
Agreed!!
I’ll admit I really really love the first two seasons best.
This is one of my favorite shows today and as a child. It's unfortunate that there aren't more television series of this magnitude today.
Grew up with this show. Reminds me of my grandparents home. Good memories. Need more shows this wholesome.
Profoundly grateful for, in my opinion, the best thing that ever happened to television.
Richard Thomas....I always thought that he was highly underrated as an actor.
I agree, Haven! He was great.
@@BG3ProductionsHypocrite
What really made this even better, if that's even possible, is the real actors and their love of each other on set and off set...the way they have lived their lives and treated their fans since this show, has been nothing short of greatness.
J-Mom I love this comment so much and completely agree with you. Their love for each other sets this show apart & makes it so special. Thanks for watching!
Boy that definitely don’t make them like this one anymore!!! Absolutely loved this show!! Still do watch reruns. Never missed an episode!!
I have the entire series and when I get tired of the craziness in today's world I will watch episodes. We used to watch it in the 1970's in the evening as a family and I feel as if they are also my family.
Love this show. I can't count how many times I have watched the Waltons from the first episodes to the last ones.
Same, my kids love it too!!!
I wish Mary Ellen had gotten to sing in the show because Judy can sing!
I watched this show with my grandma when I was a little boy. Now I watch it at supper every night with my family. My wife absolutely loves it. 😊
I've grown old watching this Series since it began in the early 1970s ..it's such a beautiful drama ..family ..I'd watch it all over again ..Thankyou all the Cast for giving us so much Joy and Happiness throughout the decades ...we love you all ❤️ x
My kids love the reruns of this wholesome show that doesn't exsist today. ❤the Waltons!!
The Christmas show was the best! 1971.
It was! There should be another one for the 50th Anniversary ;)
bgirl3 Good news!!
I agree...that was the year I was born but I got to watch reruns!😍
Agree. "The Homecoming" was pretty close to perfect.
IT WOULD NEVER WORK TODAY WITH THIS NASTY WORLD AND DEVIOUS AND PERVERTED CHILDREN TODAY BUT AT LEAST I GOT TO LIVE IN THAT TIME OF THE WALTONS ON TV A TIME THAT WILL NEVER BE AGAIN.
Glad we can re-watch this show when today's shows are too much to handle. Thanks for watching!
they said exactly the same thing then, that it would never work then, it was a very turbulent time with Nixon and the war, they did not expect it to last the first season but people found it and loved it for the escape it gave them and it would work again if it was well written and acted
Spectrum: You sound as if you stay locked away in the house from the world and everybody. Maybe someone should keep an eye on YOU.
If children had this type of show to watch now there would not be so many going to prison
Ha! I agree! More people need to get Amazon Prime or INSP channel to watch ;)
I Love watching The Walton's Show. I will 💖 never get Tired of it. God bless Grandma and Grandpa and John Sr. Who has Passed On RIP
Lory Lou What a great comment. That’s amazing! ❤️
Lory Lou you are truly blessed.. To me, family is Wealth and having a good upbringing with a loving supportive family is a wonderful foundation in life..
@@JustMe-vo9bq 😊
Loved The Waltons. I have 4 dvd boxsets so far. Good characters, good storylines, good actors. The show is repeated on certain channels, along with another good family show, Little House On The Prarie. Too much trash on 'normal' tv today...
One of the BEST shows on television and some of the BEST actors/actresses.
Thank You. God bless
This T.V. show "The Walton" was and is still my favorite thing to watch on T.V... Especially the earlier one seasons...as a matter of fact I was sooo jealous of them! I wanted the characters on this show to be my family...
Me too!
Me too, 👍
One of the BEST shows ever made!
I agree. Do today's TV shows even HAVE life messages?
i miss grandma grandpa and john walton
Me too! Thanks for watching!
It was a wonderful and warm show... and I am no prude, but I watched the entire thing as an adult and loved it!
mcbeeze I’m watching it for the first time as an adult and love it. Know I would have loved it as a kid, too.
I’m no goody two shoes either ... but this show covered so many topics that are universally relevant.
They don't make them like this anymore. I really loved this show . It brings back a lot of memories.
Just discovered this show recently on Amazon Prime & love it so much. Created new memories for me. Thanks for watching!
Hell Kathy, how are you doing?
We never missed a episode, I would say my favorite was when Martha Corinne Walton came to visit before she passed
I love that one! The Pony Cart, right? So good.
bgirl3 yup that’s the one, I had a elder in our family line who reminded me of Aunt Martha Corinne long ago in the 50’s
