This show was great then and now. It shows how a home should be. Not having much but making it work and living a spiritual life. I love it and watch it every day.
It certainly was all that. Your Mum just have been a fan too judging by your name. That was the name I had ready for my 2nd baby if it had been a girl..
I remember when I first started watching littlehouse it was a great show and it was wholesome and shows the truth about hard times and hard work to survive one of my favorite shows then I miss it wish it was on Me tv. So I can watch it again
I’ve watched Little House on the Prairie since it first came on the air. I’m a Senior Citizen now and I’m still watching all the reruns. Still think it’s a wonderful loving show. I loved all the cast. But maybe Laura Ingles was my favorite 🥰❤️
When this first aired, I watched it and loved everything about it.. especially the wonderfully talented actors. Each story had a moral message. I couldn’t wait for my daughter who was only two, to become old enough to watch it.. and when she did we watched together..
Favorite star was Mr. Edward's. That special Christmas show was the best. It still makes me cry when I watch it. Of course, Michael Landon was wonderful and so multi talented. Loved him on his show Highway to Heaven. Along with Mr. Edward's. Both passed to young.
I couldn't pick a favorite. I really love all of them not only as actors but as reg. People. I totally miss this kind of shows. They were so simple & had lessons to learn. Love it ALWAYS.
This series was such a gem, every character was intriguing and fun to watch and identify with. What amazes me is how well all the children actors did with acting and delivering lines! They were so young yet so professional! I think that my favorite character would have to be Harriet Oleson, as I am sure that everyone has met a Harriet in their life, lol! That actress played the part magnificently!
I'm 54, i grew up always watching little house, bonanza and more..I really miss the shows alot and saddened . Most are gone now. I loved all the actors. ❤❤
Like others , I too started watching Little House on the Prairie when it first came out & I still watch reruns of it. Too bad we don’t have shows like this anymore, it had morals & respect that related to all unlike the shows of today. I never really had a favorite character bc each person brought something to the show that I could relate to. Bless them all for giving & entertaining us with their emotions on the show & Bless those that we loved & lost from the show. They will always be remembered in our hearts. ❤️ & 🙏s
Now even childrens shows, music is smut. I remember a singer saying she wants to be known for her voice not her body. Well then keep your close on. Wear cloths that dont show everything you own.
My great grandmother lived in Burr Oak, Iowa when the Ingalls were living there. She was the same age as Laura. While I can assume that they may have known each other, I am still trying to prove that they did. I will be visiting Burr Oak, this year, for "Laura Ingalls Wilder Days" at the end of June to see what else I can learn.
I started watching Little House on the Prairie when I was like 8-9 yrs old,I was born in 76 so I wasn't around when it came out. I loved that show and my favorite Actor was Michael Landon. May he R.I.P
Mrs Olsen was by far my favorite because she was a superb actress! No one made a character more alive than she did & deserved much more recognition than she got. I also grew up passionately in love with "Albert" Matthew Labyortaux & was my longest standing crush, even beyond Johnny Depp who was my 2nd. ❤❤
Merci ! Je pense que je les aime tous ! Toutes ces années c etait du vrai bonheur d attendre a 12h la suite ! Tout les acteurs étaient vraiment bien choisi !!
God bless Michael Landon for the legacy of this show. I grew up watching 'Little House on the Prairie,' own it on DVD and have watched it all from the pilot movie, through each episode of every season, to the last movies that were made multiple times. It still comes on the Hallmark Channel every day; and most days, I watch it still. It's such a wholesome show, heart-touching, and just beautifully done. Every family should watch this show together. It teaches the morals and values that are timeless and so needed in our society today.
Michael Landon has always been one of my very favorite actors. Dobbs Greer has always been a favorite, spanning many years. Merlin Oleson has been a favorite, going back to his football days. Last but not least, Victor French stole my heart, after watching him in many different roles. I love and thank them all and miss them so much. May they rest in peace, and may they know the love and gratitude of so many.
I love this show so much and all the stars in it. So sad that many are no longer with us, like Michael Landon. I was a fan of his on Bonanza. Now I'm 66 years old and still love watching reruns, it's a very family oriented show, nothing can compare to it. I don't watch anything on current TV, I like the old shows. They were wholesome and pure enjoyment.
lol...I find myself watching, this , Gun Smoke , Riffle Man, The big Valley, even Gillian's Island, munsters, adams family, WOW I didn't know I was so lost ..LOL..At least it's a break from so much violence.. I too am 66 , I remember watching 'Combat'' And Gomer Pile with my Dad..He was in the Air force & watch that.. Time has just flown by.
I'm 53 years old now and loved Little House On The Prairie. I loved to watch Mary Ingles. I loved how calm and placid she was and so beautiful. The easiest thing in the world to do would be to love someone like her. A beautiful, beautiful lady and still is x.
Hi, Happy Easter, some people who had Ingalls as their last name changed it to Ingles for whatever reason, and some Hispanics had Ingles as their last name maybe because last names in Spain were sometimes named after a person's English heritage. I heard the real Charles Ingalls' last name was Irish even though I don't know if it was true.
This is one of my fave tv series before. I love the Ingalls family especially Mary ( Melissa Sue Anderson) she is my fave in this program! I enjoyed watching this program especially when I see Mary in an episode! The story of their family is very inspiring. I miss all the Cast and the tv show!
I watched the first episode when i was 5 yrs old Now I'm 54yrs old still watching it on Cozi Tv every morning. It bring lots of tears in my eyes to see the one who had passed away.. ❤️❤️❤️ My Little House on the Prairie♥️🇺🇸🦅🇲🇺🦤
I just turned 56 May 9th. And Monday evenings Little House was on. I ALWAYS hurried up to get changed into my PJ's before it started. Because I had to leave the house at 7:15 to catch the school bus. I would have to go to bed by 8. If I changed clothes before the show started. My Mom would let me see the end of the episode. But if I didn't I would have to get changed before the end of the show. So I would miss the last 5 to 10 minutes. Or if I put my clothes on the table I could change between commercials. Lol
Loved Little House. Loved most all the characters but Melissa Gilbert was a favorite along with Victor French! We just need more good clean shows like this! I still watch the old shows & never tire of them! ♥️
This program I grew up with I used to love Sunday because of little house on the prayer I loved it so much I loved all the actors in the show my heart goes out for the ones that passed away I really loved that series so much I miss it it was a part of my child hood I loved so much ❤❤❤❤xxxx
I am not American, I am Indonesian. But I fell in love with the Little House books when I was 8 yo. I also watched the series, too here. And I still have the old Little House books now. I never get bored reading them.
I love this series ..at least once a year I watch it again..so does my son..the values that this show taught was amazing..in my home I don't watch regular TV..there's nothing on that isn't garbage..and its getting harder and harder to find actors/actresses that are worth watching..unfortunately celebs have decided to follow evil ..so I keep whittling down who I will watch..going back to the classics is my solution for now..
To be honest I loved them all at the time, yet Michael Landen always stood out, being so handsome, friendly, helpful, you name it! Always loved watching it when I was a teenager (I think!).
❤❤❤ This TV Show been watching it for 50 yrs since i was 5 yrs young. Love all of them peoples they were so Amazing and so realistic Never get bored watching it till now every morning on the Cozy TV💖🇺🇲🦅🇲🇺
Can't believe Caroline is 81 Karen Grassle and she still looks pretty. I read somewhere that her Mother called her her ' miracle baby'. She really played the part well - as did they all. I still watch my DVD sets even though probably know every word!
I grew up with this show loved it so much and tried to get my daughters to love it too but unfortunately it was too slow for them but then I read it to them, they loved the book:)
Watching this series gives me a feeling of peace, quiet, simplicity, and order. Reminiscing life in the 70’s when people were still God fearing and respectful.😢
I look at this series when I need peace of mind and to accept that good people may still exist and it is possible to live well and simply. In today's serials, you can't see or learn anything except sex, betrayal, hatred and murder.
LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE WAS SUCH A POSITIVE SHOW IN THAT THE VALUES THAT WE ALL CHERISHED WERE ALL CLEARLY SHOWCASED IN EACH OF THE CHARACTERS. IT WAS A LOVELY WAY TO SHARE TIME WITH FAMILY, WATCHING THE FAMILY COMMUNITY OF "LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE." CHILDREN TODAY HAVE NO CLUE OF THE VALUES THAT WE ALL UNDERSTOOD THAT WERE A PART OF OUR GROWING UP YEARS AND INTO ADULTHOOD AND STILL EXISTS FOR MANY OF US, DESPITE THE VERY SAD STATE OF OUR COUNTRY, OUR WORLD. GOD WAS VERY MUCH A PART OF THIS SERIES. THE WRITERS DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHO MIGHT GET OFFENDED IF ONE USED A CERTAIN WORD...COMPARE AND CONTRAST THAT WORLD OF YESTERYEAR AND THE WAY CHILDREN ARE GROWING UP TODAY, IN A WORLD THAT IS EVOLVING SO FAST, OUR HEADS KEEP TRYING TO KEEP UP...THERE IS MUCH GOOD WITH THE TECHNOLOGY OF TODAY...BUT THERE IS THE DARK SIDE AS WELL. THE CHILDREN ON LITTLE HOUSE, UNDERSTOOD WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE A CHILD, TO CLIMB A TREE, TO GO FOR A WALK, TO GET DRESSED UP FOR CHURCH, TO APPRECIATE A SMALL GIFT THAT WAS A HUGE TREASURE...AS MONEY WAS NOT A FOCUS...JUST TO LIVE WITH NEIGHBORS, THE COMMUNITY, THE CHURCH IN HARMONY AND PEACE...AS MUCH AS ANY HUMANS BEINGS COULD DO, BEING HUMAN. THOSE MEMORIES ARE SO PRECIOUS TO ME AND WILL NEVER FADE IN VALUE NOR TIME. THANK YOU FOR THIS UPDATE. IT IS SAD TO HAVE LOST MANY OF THE CAST SO YOUNG. "CHARLES INGALL" OF CANCER AND OTHER CAST MEMBERS. THIS WAS A GIFT TO WATCH THIS POR PRESENTATION. I FELT WARMTH AS I WATCHED THIS VIDEO. I WILL NOW LOOK INTO PURCHASING SOME OF THE EPISODES OF LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE. THANK YOU, KINDLY FOR THE WORK THAT WENT INTO THIS VIDEO!~~WARMLY AND BLESSED WITH MEMORIES, BEV~~
Agreed!! She is still a thin in shape woman. It wasn't nice photo shopping her face on to that chubby woman. But all his thumbnails seem to have one of the actresses faces photoshopped on to a heavy woman or he photoshopped them to look ugly. That's not respectful to do to any woman ever.
Typical douchebaggery when it comes to click bait photoshop thumbnails. They can’t even find someone with a decent English accent to do the narration, have to resort to the cold and lifeless AI generated voice.
Hubby and I bought the box set for both his mum and aunt. I'm sure it's still available somewhere. I grew up in multiple foster homes that were Not good. Ì always dreamed that I'd find a family that shared the love portrayed in the wonderful show.
This show was my favorite when I was a kid back in the 70's and it still is cause my country's national television is still showing it every Sunday afternoon! It was dubbed at the time of its first airing with dialogues in my language and that's a bit annoying cause I never heard the real voices of the participants, it was a common practice back then it was cheaper than subtitles gave work to many unemployed actors/actresses and I guess brought the Ingalls family closer to us!
Victor French and Michael Landon, both starred together in Highway to Heaven and it was the last show for both actors, both died coincidentally of lung cancer two years apart 😢 damn sad.
I grew up on Little House In The Prairie. I not only watched the television series; I read all the books as well. It is hard to pick a favorite chartacter because all of them were excellent in portraying their respective characters. That being said, the 2 that really stand out to me the most are Melissa Gilbert as Laura and Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls. What is really special about these 2 is that not only did they stand out in the characters they portrayed, they were not type cast into them. They were quite successful in other roles as well. We often hear of actors and actresses who become identified with a particular character they portrayed that they are not able to go into other roles. But this was not the case with Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon. I do remember when Michael Landon became ill and passed away at the age of 54. I, along with many more of his fans, was deeply saddened by his passing. It is wonderful, however, that even though he is gone his legacy lives on.
Good clean show with morals and values parents can watch with there children. To show my age, the most violent thing we watched for kids , was Road Runner.
I didn't watch 1 episode until a few years ago. I was born the same year as Melissa Gilbert (1963). I thought it was a girly show when I was growing up. So I never bothered watching. Out of curiosity, I watch the 1st episode a few years ago and I was hooked from the start. It's 1 of the few series's that I love every episode. I'm rewatching it now. Im half way through season 2.
This program my mum loved watching it with me and my sister when we all was growing up, sadly my mum justed passed away, but I always put it on for her before she passed away with dementia, she loved the music and michael landon 😢😢rip mum love you always will amen 🙏 xx
Michael Landon was my heartthrob from the time I was a little girl. I still mourn him. I loved him from the start when he played little Joe Cartwright on Bananza
I know someone who actually lives in Walnut Creek now! It only occurred to me a couple of years ago. I used to love Little house on the prairie. Karen Grassel was always so naturally beautiful. Looking good!!
This show was great then and now. It shows how a home should be. Not having much but making it work and living a spiritual life. I love it and watch it every day.
I grew up on this show. It was clean, dramatic, wholesome, and had morals and values.
It certainly was all that. Your Mum just have been a fan too judging by your name. That was the name I had ready for my 2nd baby if it had been a girl..
It might have but ML had none. He was a total hypocrite.
Melissa sue Anderson lives in montreal
I remember when I first started watching littlehouse it was a great show and it was wholesome and shows the truth about hard times and hard work to survive one of my favorite shows then I miss it wish it was on Me tv. So I can watch it again

the only series where we could see for the 25th time a scene 25 years after seeing it the first time and still shed a tear
I couldn't pick a favorite. I really love all of them not only as actors but as reg. People. I totally miss this kind of shows. They were so simple & had lessons to learn. Love it ALWAYS.

Morals, respect and hard work. No false sense of entitlement or narcissism back then.
Jonathan Gilbert grew up to be Rahm Emmanuel.

Good series, But, nothing like Micheal Landon in real life, sadly.
You should read Karen Grassle’s autobiography. Apparently, Michael “Pa Ingalls” Landon was not always so kind and gracious in person.
Michael Landon has always been one of my very favorite actors. Dobbs Greer has always been a favorite, spanning many years. Merlin Oleson has been a favorite, going back to his football days.

My favorite child actor was Allison Arngrim ( Nellie).
Melissa Gilbert is my favorite, I love the show. The show was actually on the morning of the 9/11 attack.
It was a wonderful show my children loved it.And have talked about it years later. They miss it not sure on favorite
Micheal played a good father and he puts a lot of feeling in his acting
I still have them recorded yes I love little house

Victor French and Michael Landon, both starred together in Highway to Heaven and it was the last show for both actors, both died coincidentally of lung cancer two years apart 😢 damn sad.
Michael Landon died of pancreatic cancer I think.
Pancreatic cancer
Love them all... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Im half way through season 2.
continue to produce valuable videos to serve the audience, have a good day my friend

Michael Landon was my heartthrob from the time I was a little girl. I still mourn him. I loved him from the start when he played little Joe Cartwright on Bananza
I remember the little house on the prairie i also wore the dresses like them in the 1970's
My favorite character wasn’t mentioned: Hersha Parady who played Alice Garvey.
We loved❤all of them 😅
Photoshopped 😂😂😂😂😂 pic of Anderson. She's still lovely. A show like this will never come again.
I know someone who actually lives in Walnut Creek now! It only occurred to me a couple of years ago.
I used to love Little house on the prairie. Karen Grassel was always so naturally beautiful. Looking good!!
