You all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Jaxton Jerry thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Congrats to Keegan. Regular riders should remember though that a lot of the considerations discussed here are not relevant. An Everesting for a decent cat 3 might be in the 16-18 hrs range. Nutrition isn't an issue as you have loads of time to eat. Choose the bike that you're most comfortable on and don't worry about weight. You don't need a support crew, but it's nice, loads of people have everested solo. You'll need lights. Choose your hill depending on safety first. It's an achievement to finish, nobody care if you did it in 14 hours or 20. You want to finish without being totally destroyed for weeks afterwards - that's the goal.
TR - just like not having the logos lined up with the valves quite even but still I thought should let you know - thumbnail title says PODAST i/o podcast. Awesome new addition to podcasts. Really enjoyed it!
This is the very first episode of our "Successsful Athletes Podcast." But don't worry... this comes as an addition to the weekly Ask a Cycling Coach podcast :)
Sorry if I missed it. Did Keegan use a Mtb or race road bike. What did he use? Assume down hills it would be advantageous to go Aero. Uphill not so much
Gran Fondo will be your best bet since you will aim to be riding at an extremely constant pace. The Climbing Road Race plan is more dynamic and aims to prepare you for intense surges that you will not experience during an Everesting Attempt
Good job guys! Jonathan is just a natural at these Podcasts. Nate better give you a raise. I live 5 miles from the bottom of Pine Canyon, pretty rad to hear Keegan conquer Everesting there. Dig this podcast concept too. Would be nice to see these as featured athletes someday: - Vegan Cyclist, UA-camr (Tyler Pierce) - Durianrider, UA-camr (Harley Johnston) - Bertie, Grand Tour rider (Alberto Contador)
@@The123fiona Looking more into an open-minded approach, not to recognize a successful athlete, but for a regular person to share how he/she is able to find success in cycling on their own terms. After all, a big majority of listeners are not pros, we are regular people. Harley is not a clean brand, I agree. I purposely chose him because he brings in controversy and would add dynamics to the podcast in addition to your usual clean, poster-image athlete. Maybe a proper brand like TR can bring out the different side of Harley, the serious side. Have you ever watched ESPN's "The Last Dance"? It brought in a lot of controversy -- the media & public loved it. What Keegan did was a huge accomplishment, sadly it's not even in the local news.
@@katrinagwen We obviously disagree about the worth of his invovement. In parting, I simply observe that when Nate (who vigourously protects his own brand) peruses one or two of Durianrider's UA-cam contributions any suggestion of inviting him will be quickly quashed.
@@katrinagwen whats the problem with clean, poster-image athlete? I was laughing when I heard Keegan broke Phil's record less than a week after Phil set it 😂. Great podcast, I'm looking forward to it.
No way, Phil is hyping up his own WR attempt so hard.

Phil brought all the attention to it so now a lot (more) will go for it!
Great interview. Love how Keegan's parents are so supportive! Go Keegan!
Format is great. Congratulations to Keegan.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for listening :)
great video, info, questions! Phil needs to give Keegan more respect, his P/W is impressive
WOW... Unreal. Just rode Pine Canyon yesterday for the first time. I can’t imagine doing it 29x.
I had no idea Jonathon knew Keegan, he’s never mentioned him 😂

Great podcast as always Jonathan! Keep up the good work
Awesome interview :) Keegan makes it look so damn easy... although admitting it was the hardest thing he have done... great podcast! Keep it comin'
Really loved this! Amazing interview
Thanks so much! Glad you liked the format :)
Agrees. Super pro presentation, questioning and knowledge. First video, but not the last. Keep crushing. PS: Keegan is a BEAST
Smashed it at 6k’! That’s bonkers!
Awesome effort. What bike did Keegan use for this record ? Was it the Pivot Vault ?
It was :)
Amazing podast
Podast? Is that a new format?

shoutout to podast listeners everywhere
Really nice podcast.
Glad you enjoyed the new format!
Hmm more food for thought, still searching for 'the' hill...

3521rob he used a road bike
Yall didn't even interview Phil Giamon who recently started the renewal of everesting trend!
Great
I am bulding my training plan for everesting. Should I consider it a road climbing race event or a gran fondo?

TrainerRoad thanks!!!
Ha ha, Jonathan speaking to the world record holder 'so if l you were really going for this would you have changed your training'
Did the spreadsheet get released that was mentioned at the end?
@Jonathan Lee let’s see that shaved 🪒 head 😯
Around 5.8w/kg.. 😐

Really? Durian rider would be a VERY controversial selection.
I can't see how his brand would have anything in common with TrainerRoad's approach
Ray Isaac I agree, also I don’t see how he is a ‘successful athlete’.
