You want to get the full circle removal tool so the bolts don't drop I saw professional drop it with the Half-Moon one he said he should have got the full one
Would it cause a leak if it blew? I’m having issues rn with it leaking oil I checked the oil pan gasket and it’s not where it leaking from it was along that cover and belt system no holes in the block either comment if you potentially know the cause or if a oil pump would cause that or cause the gasket to melt from no oil being pumped if that makes sense I need advice other than scraping it
@@Blessinqss i gave up on that engine a week after i put this comment on here, the timing chain guide bolt hole got chopped completely off the damn thing, i knew i should have changed it sooner

That's a great idea, I didn't even know those were available.
This helped me out so much. I dropped bolt into covet but retrieved it with a magnet lol
Yes the mechanic mirror is very much needed if engine is in your car
buy a magnet that fits under the bolts and that will catch the bolts if they fall. Place it under the socket as you screw the bolt out.

the seal on the harmonic balancer brother, it’s inside the timing cover, just a gasket
do you have to drain the oil first?
no
