There is no point. Video maker just trying to insinuate that he did something wrong by paying actresses to appear in his autobiographical work if the scene in question had a sexual subtext. These scenes had the actresses memorizing and delivering the line "whip it out." No hidden subtext, it was right there in the words. Nothing was hidden from them.
I agree. Louis used part of his life, apparently an iconic moment in his teenage sexual past, as inspiration in his writing. There's nothing inherently wrong about that. If he did something wrong in step with that (like being inappropriate with the actresses) then its a problem.

I agree. One of the most common film/fiction/art analysis techniques is to look for repeated symbols, themes, and motifs in multiple works by the same artist. There is nothing even remotely wrong with an artist using a psychologically significant image repeatedly in their work. What CK was guilty of was inappropriate interactions with women when the camera wasn't on.
3:14 "ultimately destroyed his career". I don't know, I don't think cancel culture is real for successful people like this. Louis CK is arguably more successful now than he ever was. He had more opportunities back then, he had a tv show, no scandal back then. But he makes more money now, he sells out more shows with a bigger audience now, he has more people buying his specials now, and I think he even has a successful podcast.
I have no idea what he made then or makes now, but he went from directing a big studio a star studded prestige feature (that never came out), to a low budget indie flick starring his friends. He'll never have a mainstream gig again. He was everywhere, now you gotta look for him.
He literally sold out Madison Square garden earlier this year. That makes a lot of money. He went on tour in Europe playing big venues all over. He also plans on making a new movie with a studio again this year or the next. So I dont know if he truly was cancelled

Thank you for this vid even with Cosby I had no idea it was interwoven in his stand-up, shows, and interviews. Blew my mind and surprised it wasn't pointed out as much. Great vid. Subscribing!
"Accepted his faults" bahahah you mean he admitted he whipped out his penis in front of strangers? Something he knew was wrong mind you, and you believe he should just be forgiven because "You guyyyyss!!! He's sorry!!!!!" Could you imagine if your daughter or family saw him "whip it out"? Who gives a fuck if he lost 35 million, he makes a shit-load of money every single time he does something. As far as "there are worst people to investigate" Thats cool, the cyraxx channels are already doing that, this guy who is unrelated, and whose actions does not affect the current ongoing investigations unrelated to this one. This is like saying the police shouldn't have arrested Cosby because The Zodiac Killer is still out there. Complete non-sequitur. We put people in prison for this kind of behavior, and then put them on a registry of sex offenders because of how likely they are to re-offend. Use your head instead of sticking it up your ass.

I remember when Louis went on WTF with Marc Maron, who asked him point blank if he did commit these actions, and said no. Then a few months later, he admits it. This is a great catch, interesting video.
I also noticed, in an episode of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Louis makes a mention of his favourite scene in Bad Lieutenant being where the Harvey Keitel character forces 2 women to watch him j**k off with such a sense of glee, very off-putting stuff.
@NickolasNameolas it's real and it's on UA-cam somewhere. LCK had a similar conversation about that movie/scene on an Opie and Anthony radio show back in the day. That's also on UA-cam here somewhere. He *really* liked that scene...
@banparlous2552 Yeah but kink should always be participated in consensually. So I'm gonna kinkshame if your kink hinges on non-consensual sex.
Whole lotta [word redacted] offended at self-confidence, so shocking
Hey, that's been the vibe my entire life so far...
bro wants to be the next snl cast member
when does the video start
Its really annoying being able to see stuff no one else can see in plain sight. It can really drive you crazy. Keep going bro.
Recommended by the algorithm. Awesome stuff, m' gonna watch the rest of your videos
Another very well done video. Hope things work out for you soon. You’re awesome!
F.D. sent me. Dude needs to blow up. This channel is v good.
He certainly has had to lay low for a while at least
I'm enjoying all your work
Not me planning my lunch break around this videos premiere 👀
I really love Louis' bit about 'Good Will Hunting'. That movie always drove me nuts.
Omg your ego will be an issue , you TALK about your talent and the content you create
But where is the gd content tho , I know you need to make things personal but I really feel there is a more sympathetic way to achieve that
Idk if you where going to say the Louis CK thing at the end of this but I'm at 3/4 of this video and I'm out I can't with the me me me
TBH, I sorta don't care about the CK stuff, but I am *definitely* here for the bold foot-in-the-door video resume. I wanna see where this dude goes. Liked and subbed.
For what? Doing research? The guy's not talented at all and he's 35 with no marketable skills, that should tell you everything you need to know.
Being good at research is actually a *very* valuable skill, in the right place. We'll see.@@JoeKing69
This is like finding Albert Einstein under a rock and catching him in a jar before he scuttles away. Fantastic channel
Commenting to feed the 'rithm, yet another sent your way by FD
dude really said he up there with nardwaur
and dude is on
Your an excellent writer and video editor. Every one of your videos I have seen have made me wonder why the views don’t reflect the quality and insightfulness. Ill always support you, I truly believe its only a matter of time.
bruh this video is 5% information and 95% boasting and whining somehow at the same time
Imagine being 35 and being so infatuated with yourself over the fact that you understand how to do research.
Like congratulations for basic journalism.
yeah. Does come off that way. He's probably not a bad dude, but how he carries himself here comes off as egocentric. Its one thing to be proud of your work, but its another thing to be pretentious and obnoxious about it.
Everyone can benefit from checking their ego once in a while.
Came here from FD! I wish I could financially support as well, but I’m also in a similar situation, so I subscribed for now. I hope you can get some incredible opportunities soon!!
Independent is the only way. Also FD is tryna contact you check your inbox (according to him).
It's actually pretty cringey how confidently good you are at something that you haven't really proved that you're good at.
This guy’s profoundly unlikeable
100%, no fuckin idea what this dude is talking about here. Even most the comments aren’t even addressing contents of this video lol
I can see why you think that but I found this guy and his confidence and honesty about his situation kind of endearing, he has a unique personality. He was interesting to watch and I'd like to see more of what he puts out personally.
What the fuck are you talking about
Actually, as a matter of fact, that’s false.
Hey man, i liked and subbed. This is great. Gonna watch all your vids and like and post comments. Good luck man. Thanks for this.
Thank you for this vid even with Cosby I had no idea it was interwoven in his stand-up, shows, and interviews. Blew my mind and surprised it wasn't pointed out as much. Great vid. Subscribing!
This man accepted his faults, lost 35 million and there is still people wanting to ruin him, when there are a lot of worst people to investigate
Whataboutism*
@@LiShuBen cancelculture*
@@TheKiddingStarnever forget that defense of predatory people is far more often than not self incrimination and a stunning lack of self awareness. And if there was any such thing as "cancelculture," all the scum in the world would be poor and forgotten.
Youre giving major "Oki's Weird Stories" vibes, keep it up!!
Thank you for making this. Your research skills are outstanding. However, and really it’s a small thing. Nicolas Ceausescu was the dictator of Romania (1965-1989) you pronounced it without in ‘ia’.
What do you mean? Roman president and caesar Nicolas Ceausescu and his wife were unceremoniously shot in front of the colosseum, in 65 BC. Let's focus on being morally right, not factually; eyes on the eightball.
Give this man what he needs!
Commenting for the algorithm, hopefully that still helps.
I think about what the world would be like if society made space for people to do the things they are uniquely suited to do. If we made accommodations for people so their strengths could be used to their best advantage. I think everyone would benefit. Instead we do (gestures broadly) whatever this is.
Wishing you all the wonderful things in the future ❤
I feel like shit about our false meritocracy and I'm not even good at anything I can't imagine how crushing it must be to so clearly have such potent talent and consistently be denied any reward for your work.
I rewatched Gravity Falls and there's an episode where Louis CK voices a giant and keeps telling Dipper to get in his mouth and it's so weird hearing him say all that
Commenting for the algo and the hopes that not only you are what you say you are, superstar, but you get the attention you deserve.
Stay safe!
I had my first job interview in a long time yesterday, it’s for dispensary. Hope I get it 🙏🏼 it feels good even just getting asked to do an interview at this point

I have had a rough couple years myself and only just now are things starting to turn around for me. By commenting here, maybe I can send a little of that good luck to you in turn. Hang in there.
I'm so lost, I'm going to watch this again I promise, but what did you find out? I kept hearing you reference something you found out but you didn't say what it was, or I didn't hear it.
I remember when Louis went on WTF with Marc Maron, who asked him point blank if he did commit these actions, and said no. Then a few months later, he admits it.
This is a great catch, interesting video.
Keep it up man. FD signifier sent me here.
I’m rooting for you.
You have a talent, or rather a honed skill. I fully respect the way you demanded your worth. I am so glad to have found your content.
I loved the FX show Louie and definitely would never have noticed this. That's WILD!
Is it accurate to compare Bill Cosby to Louis ck?
They were both serial abuser comedians who hid their pathology in their work. That’s enough parallels for me. Can’t speak for you 🤷🏿♂️
@@NickolasNameolasI tend to share some of the sentiments communicated by Dave Chappelle regarding the issue.
I also noticed, in an episode of Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Louis makes a mention of his favourite scene in Bad Lieutenant being where the Harvey Keitel character forces 2 women to watch him j**k off with such a sense of glee, very off-putting stuff.
I can't tell if this is a joke or not but if not we gotta track that s*it down. That movie is rough as gets.
@NickolasNameolas it's real and it's on UA-cam somewhere. LCK had a similar conversation about that movie/scene on an Opie and Anthony radio show back in the day. That's also on UA-cam here somewhere. He *really* liked that scene...
Kink shaming is wrong
@banparlous2552 Yeah but kink should always be participated in consensually. So I'm gonna kinkshame if your kink hinges on non-consensual sex.
(Not saying I'm against consensual non-consent, but that's not what people like Louis CK or Cosby want. They *like* the power and degeneracy of making someone uncomfortable or raping them)
This isn’t a new observation
Nobody likes a complainer
I have a feeling you’re going to see success. This is the first video of yours I’ve seen, but it’s good stuff.
Louis should love this. It's like something out of Louie, or Atlanta. In fact, Donald Glover might appreciate this.
Love your angle, joined your Patreon. 👍🏻
Thanks a ton!
Always take the longshot! ❤❤❤
Hey Nick, hope you’re doing okay. You are a really special, talented person and you have a lot to share with the world. I know sometimes it feels impossible or like no one is listening or cares, but you’re right to believe in yourself and your eye. You just need that match stick to catch fire. The key to a good long burn is some decent quality fuel, don’t forget that, even if it might take a rare lightning strike to get things going. Set up that lightning pole, but take care of yourself 🔥 Hope things look up for you, sry if the fire metaphors were strange
I'm sorry for the things you've been through recently, hope it gets better & this video was good!
Man your vibe is crazy
Keep it up
well you got my subscribe. hope this spreads, will pass on to those who might care.
Thanks!
I wish I could say it was all going to be okay, but keep walking your path. I see you. You aren’t alone out here ❤
It’s too late for it, scandal is over
Here because of F.D. and I appreciate the additional background on Louie; it was interesting and he was never really cancelled and it feels just for that info to come out. But real talk, the repetitive "I'm the best" stuff is a serious turn off. I wanna know your background and why you're into this and why you believe it's worth my time to listen to you. But tell me once, and then show me how good you are. You got my like and sub because I think you're worth supporting, hopefully you'll prove me right in future videos.
you see like an incredibly thoughtful dude, looking forward to what you do in the future, subbed
One of the first lessons I learned as a copywriter is that people don't care about you, only themselves, so why not focus on why people clicked on the video rather than blabbering about yourself.
Well said.
Speak for yourself, I find that shit compelling.
@@TheAngryMarshmallow how so? What about a guy who made a discovery that someone else already made on reddit five years ago is so compelling to you?
Imagine being 35 and so impressed with yourself for doing basic research.
You're allowed to like the creator. I subbed him because I see potential for good videos. But, lemme put it this way; if every video is just him talking about how great he is at X, I would unsubscribe. A big part of following creators on this platform is who they are and how they carry themselves. @@TheAngryMarshmallow
casual Nardwuar shoutout. Love it.
FD Signifier brought me here. Get a hold of him.
Great video! You've earned the sub. Anywhere we can read the article?
I was worried this was going to be somehow woke. Turns out he's got the facts, showed his proof, and didn't try to spin the story, seemed fairly neutral but informative. Subbed.
Muckraker
I think it was easy for him to confess because hed been doing stand up about it for so long. I remember the joke he did about almost getting to a plane crash and the last person he called was his ex-wife who hated him, I'm guessing it's for those reasons. I'm also going to venture a guess that this mysterious costumed woman is Sarah Silverman, because she herself did admit she was the only woman who's consensually watched him (and I mean have you not seen her in a ponytail ever?).
Your bragadocious section about how good of a researcher you are actually worked out for me, lol. Normally it would annoy me, but instead I really want to watch the video on Pixar's creepy Fresca ad now
Wow. Your videos are fascinating, and consistently good, you are absolutely right about how talented and dedicated you are to getting us the goods. It’s tragic that you don’t have an outrageously high follower count, and do this in your off time from your John Oliver job.
I’m sorry to hear about your marriage/divorce, trying to work for cellular services, and living in the Midwest (I moved back myself last year).
