Good video, the best decision I made as a gardener was to create a side hustle for extra income streams. There's so much dignity and respect to be an independent woman. I spent my 30s working and investing. I'm now 41. It has really helped me and my family financially stable. Saving doesn't bring financial freedom, the right investment does.

A few years ago one of my sons and an adult grandchild built me 2, 4 foot wide by 10 feet long by 4 feet tall raised beds. I have often wished they were 4&1/2 feet tall. I am 5'11" and don't bend as I once could in younger, more agile years so I sit on the sides of the bed frame to work in it or in a folding chair along side. To me having a raised bed only a foot tall makes little sense. One would still need to sit upon the ground...😟. I like very much that I have no true bending over it to keep it weed free and to plant/harvest😄

What did I tell you? EPIC! Have you figured out how much more raised bed space you have here than the garden in Frankfort? I hope you find a way to put up those lights after you get the cattle panel trellises up. It made the garden just magical. I have a feeling that shelling pea number is going to grow with the length of that bed. How exciting! 💕😊

Peas are also a good source of protein like beans. I’m really jealous of your gardens folks. My lot that I live on is only 50‘ x 100‘ and most of it is taken up by vehicles in the house. We’ve converted a garage into a 700 square-foot house. My husband and I are both retired and it works for us. Bald eagles are always a good sign for me. If I’m making a decision about something and the bald eagle flies within the next few minutes I consider that positive reinforcement. It has happened enough times that I’m not surprised anymore.

I love peas, too! Especially raw. I'm in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. I plant my peas just about touching each other in the row. And I plant on each side of the climbing fence. Peas love the support they get from the closeness of the other pea plants.

I love the excitement in your voice about your garden and it is looking fantastic. I live in suburbia and our back garden is paved in not much to grow vegetables. You both have inspired me to grow in pots and I did manage last year to have a bed of rosemary, oregano, parsley, thyme and have planted lavender which the thyme has thrived by having the lavender. I have a bay leaf bush and lemon verbena. Now trying to grow vegetables. Last year my tomotoes did not do so well (I live in the UK by the way). You both have inspired me and I love your videos. I can not wait to see your garden this year Jenna and Zac. Have a great day everyone.

Jerusalem artichokes get really tall and they spread like crazy, so contain them somehow, trust me. They are related to sunflowers so they will heal yucky stuff in soil, but they will spread outside of shallow beds or when planted in the ground. The tubers are good to eat as well. They are very pretty when they flower and they have to flower to make tubers. If you want to know more about them check out "Papa Pepper" from the abundant harvest homestead, he has playlists on them.

Are you thinking of digging a fish pond somewhere on the property? That would be great to watch it happen. Some fun fishing clips would be fun to watch also! What kind of fish would you add? Have you considered trellising the land into two or three levels to create a flatter surface by borrowing a front loader?

Everything sure looks nice! You have done SO MUCH work! We have eagles over our small farm all the time. My chicken coop looks like a gorilla cage it's so fortified! I like my birds too much to let an eagle get them!
