- Sapa Sui (Chop Suey) is a dish shared amongst the Polynesians. When it comes to any special events this dish is always prepared. I grew up eating this and to my delight it tasted exactly how my grandma use to make it. There are various ways of making Sapa Sui and by all means put on your chef hat and experiment. This is my version and I hope you all enjoy! Mālō
Ingredients
10 pieces chicken thigh (or any meat)
1 large onion
5-6 garlic cloves
1/2 inch fresh ginger (2 tablespoon)
3/4 cup thick soy sauce (see note)
1/2 pack vermicelli
1 cup water
Vegetables (Optional)
Notes:
If you can't find thick soy sauce use regular soy sauce and add 2 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
