Thanks for your tips. How do I activate the auto door lock/unlock feature to work so I don't have to manually pess on the key. This is for a 2019 X5M 50d.

Try going into the car settings and search for a menu. Call Doors and access.
Under that, you should see a setting, called comfort access, where it gives you the options to enable or disable those features..
If for whatever reason you’re not seeing it there there, it might not have the feature .

Thankyou for the tips. I had a question, how to have the air down when I get on the phone. Also I have a x6 2023 and is the air conditioner loud in all x6 or just one.
Hey Sona, thanks for reaching out. I've seen some vehicles reduce the air when a phone calls comes in, I believe BMW have not implement this, but the best bet would be to keep the air conditioning in AUTO and adjust the temperature, you can also leave it in AUTO and manually control the FAN Speed and it will remain in AUTO.

Thanks for the great help on getting to know my new X5. Question when I turn my seat heater on and turn the car off it still come back on the next day. How can I reset so it will not come on on its own.Thank you
If you have one of the newer x5s if you press the menu button on the climate control buttons. There should be a option in the menu called climate control rules. You can have it set up so that depending on the degrees it’ll be on or off

If you have the newer BMW Key fobs, press and hold the panic button while the vehicle is unlocked and the exterior lights will light up.
Doesn’t this also sound an alarm?
Yes that works but can be quite annoying. You can use your MY BMW App to turn on the headlights as well without the noise.
Hey Michelle, I would recommend using the MY BMW App to turn on the headlights. It can be done without the loud panic alarm!
@@Crisman111 @beamerview (When the car is "unlocked") the panic button doesn't work. So if you hold the panic button, it just makes the headlights turn on, with no sound.

Yes, question. When exiting the X5, the car "locks" automatically and alarm is set. If I want to leave my dog, or kids in the car, (Yes, precondition will be on) and not set the alarm off, is there a setting that will do that?
Couple things in this I wanted to mention, the car locks automatically when you're walking away because most likely there is a setting called comfort access that is enabled when you're walking away it's set to lock, it can also unlock when walking to the vehicle too.
Part 2 of the question and I think this is your better answer. Yes, when the vehicle locks, the motion detector within the vehicle is turned ON. You can disable this with your KEY FOB. Simply, press lock twice, you should see the red light under your rear view mirror blink then turn red for a few seconds, letting you know that the motion detector is off.
I have a demonstration of this on my channel, check out the 20 KEY FOB FEATURES video. It was one of the ones mentioned.
recently saw a video for the i7 system where if a usb is connected with music files, the music can be downloaded to a harddrive in the car under collections. I have a 21 X7 and the collections menu doesn't appear under media when i insert the usb drive. the music plays but i was interested in loading the music off the drive to the collections option. how do i get that menu option to come up???

The menu option should show, and music collections should appear as soon as the USB is connected. That's how it's supposed to work; if not, I would try another USB stick or try to reload the tracks onto it. Some USB Sticks can work and not work depending on the format it's set to.
Another option is to load the music onto your phone instead, so you have it at all times, and it's easier to play it. It's highly recommended if you have apple car play or android auto since that way, you can play those tracts through the music player app on your phone.

I have idrive 7. When my iPhone connects to Apple Car Play in my car and then I shut it off; the radio continues to play even after I open my door. Is there a way to shut everything off in the car when I open my door (like in my previous 2015 BMW) without having to depress the volume button for 3 seconds? Thank you!
One thing you could try is going into settings and look for DOORS/ACCESS, inside there there should be an option to check on "turn off vehicle after opening door".
I don't think it works all the time, the other thing of course is to lock your vehicle and that will also turn things off.
If you leave your key inside the vehicle it'll drain the battery on the key since it's going to try to communicate with the car.

@@BeamerView Yes please.. there seems to be many tricks in car or app using the 3d camera views, weather using it while driving or in place, or in self park mode. also folks have been asking about seeing the use of the drive recorder and uploading it to thumb drive and seeing on a big screen at home. Also speed based cameras with subscription icon showing while driving
Thanks for the tips and tricks. I've been with my new X5 xdrive40i for just two months. Yesterday morning when i tried to open the car, it couldn't until i used the actual key. i tried to start it and it failed. I suspected the battery was dead and indeed it was but failed to understand the cause. i jump started it and it started. However it started displaying this "Emergency call system malfunction". It displays that every after a few minutes. The navigation system too shows wrong information. How do i correct this without going back to the dealers?
The emergency call malfunction could have been a result from the battery being dead. I honestly do not know how to fix that without going to the dealer. If you have a newer x5, it may be covered under the warranty.

Question - if you are routing using Google maps from Android Auto and want to switch to the maps provided by BMW, how to do that? I noticed the car will stick to the Google maps and the only way is to delink Android Auto which I think is not desirable. Thanks.
You should be able to make it go to the BMW maps by having it be the last map to be active.

Can you show us how to program 2024 X5 key fob?
Sure best way would be to hold the fob near the side of the steering wheel column and while your holding it there with one hand, then use your other hand to press the start engine button, try this a few times and things should program.
When you look at the side of the steering wheel column, you should see a small cutout of a picture of a key with some arrows, that's where you hold it.

What is the deal with X5 2023 colors that are not your standard? Are there colors somewhere that I can choose from other than what they seem to offer? You do a great job on this UA-cam channel.
Hey Suzi, thanks for reaching out. On the build website you can see the standard colors, but yes. BMW does offer individual colors that are ordered separately when you're custom making your vehicle. If my latest video about ordering a BMW, you can see how I go into it a little bit. Thank you!

It will change to keyboard mode when you move your hand toward the screen, if you have Gesture Control equipped;' also it'll get out of Nav reduced mode and show more and relevant information if you move your hand close to the screen. Lesson here, do not skip options, check everything! It'll transform your BMW: both X5, but one fully loaded will blow your mind, while the other that isn't will just be another nothing special SUV;
It'll switch back to Auto if you are NOT accelerating and not downhill coasting;
No need to say "change to", just say "to SPORT MODE";
Auto folding mirrors will unfold at 25 mph.
