Thank you so much. All of you videos are extremely helpful. I’ve had a 2024 X5 for about 3 weeks and ther is so much to learn. These videos make the process so much more comprehensive. I literally sit in the vehicle with your videos and review the steps!
Glad they help Rick! Plenty more coming! Reach out if you ever have any questions!
Got a 330i a few months ago and love these videos- very helpful and explanation is great- saves hours of looking at the manual which never make sense!
Glad you like them! Congrats on the 3!
Thank you so much for your response and the helpful link. I sure the new generation batteries(solid state) will have a much better range in the EV's. Keep posting your wonderful videos!
Anytime, happy to help. Reach out if you ever have any more questions!
Thank you Sir!
I bought an X5 in November and your videos have been a godsend. Thank you for making me (almost) as tech savvy as my teenagers.😀
Hey Kathrine! That means a lot, I’m glad they were able to help you along the way. Haha before you know it you’ll know more than them :)
Reach out if you ever have any questions!
thank you so much !!! love it

@@BeamerView already subscribed my friend!
That one on the automatic braking when in reverse could be a life saver. I had someone walk behind me in a busy parking lot the other day and I couldn't see them. The alarm went off and I braked but it would have been a split second faster if the car had braked automatically. I'm turning that baby on the next time I'm in my car.
Yes Phil, I’m surprised BMW doesn’t have this feature to begin with but I could see some reasons why they kept it this way. It’s a really great feature. BMWs also have the cross traffic warning standard as well so that’s another rear feature that could save lives!
My X5 evidently has this already turned on. 7 out of 10 times when I’m backing out of my garage the car automatically breaks and stops me. 😤. I learned to push that breaking button on the console (green light is on) and it turns it off so I can get out of my garage!!
nice, learnt a couple more things
There we go!
Thanks!
Thank you for the Super Thanks bro, means a lot. Reach out if I can ever help you with anything!
Thank you very much for your prompt response! I have an i4 eDrive 40 with 19" wheels. BMW's spect show a range of 280 miles for this combination
I keep my thermostat on 67 degrees at all times and do not use Auto climate control. I live in Atlanta where we don't usually have very cold temperatures for an extended period of time. I even pre-contion my car after charging and before leaving with my car plugged in.
Hey Parish,
Been waiting for one of my friend's who is an EV expert to get a better understanding. You seem to be doing everything right. I did encounter this article today, i'm sure you are doing these but if you wanted to review it, check it out.

Appreciate the video. Just curious why you named your channel Beamer when that is for BMW motorcycles not cars? Either way, enjoy your content
Thanks! and Thanks for the observation. Couple reasons, vast majority are not aware of the Bimmer name which is the correct way to refer a vehicle. Also BimmerView was already taken, BeamerView is easier to remember and it was easier for me to rank on search results and be found as a channel.
that emergency break was cool
Right?!
Are you going to have a course for x5 m60i 2024?
Yes in the works!
thanks for your videos. the most annoying feature in my bmw is disappearing minor roads when you zoom out. even the road you actually drive on disappears as well so it looks like you are driving in the middle of the field. my previous bmw also had this feature but not to this extreme. do you know of any hack to deal with this problem?
Not too much can be done about that, one thing that may help is that you can set it so that it'll manually zoom instead of automatically. This will just hold the zoom you choose which would still show those minor roads as you're using it.
I know you covered it in a previous video but I don't remember which one. The help I need is about jump starting the X5 and locating the negative terminal. I believe I know where it is but just want to be sure if the need ever arises. Thank you in advance for you help.
It was in the first video of this hidden tricks series, should be easy to find if you google bmw tricks it’s the first one that pops up. The video has about 1.2 Million views
@@BeamerView Found it! Thank you.
I love your very helpful videos. I bought an i4 five months ago. When I charge it at 80% I only get around 150-mile range. I drive very conservatively in Eco-Pro and B(regenerative mode)
when I charge my car @100% I only get a range around 175 miles. I have taken my car to the dealer a couple of times and was told it was normal. What happened to the promised 305 mile range? Was it an exaggeration? Thank you!)
Hey Parish, many factors come into play with EV vehicles. During this time of year the winter greatly reduces the amount of miles one can drive since much of the energy is going towards keeping the vehicle warmer. Another would be the rim selection. Depending on what rims you got that is also another factor that can diminish the range. I will say that 150 - 175 does seem on the lower side but there also are 3 different i4s and each have different ranges. I know the i4 edrive35 is about 250 range and the edrive40 is 300, but again these ranges are taken with perfect conditions in play. You could try taking it to another dealer and if they do say it's normal I would wait out to the spring / summer time and im sure that should increase your range significantly.
Just found your youtube a couple of days ago. Question will your X5 course be applicable to my x7 m50d 2020-model I'm in Europe?
Hey Mary, thanks for reaching out, and thanks for the sub as well. I would say the X5 course will cover about 90 percent of the X7, the only differences is going to be the buttons in the trunk area which control the folding down of seats, which is easy to learn on its own.
Can you talk on 2019 BMW X3 sdrive 3.0i... Appreciate..!!
I should have a video on the X3 from 2022 on the channel. Check it out!
@@BeamerView 2022 you think same as 2019, spoken to BMW their said 2019 didn't support Android auto, but 2022 does😂
Do you have a video on idrive 7
Not directly one going in depth with it. Many of these hidden trick videos do point out the ones you should know about though.
Ive been having battery issues with my X5. Service says the battery is discharging because when I stop and park the car is left in neutral. I’m not putting the car in neutral. The only way this happens is by using the start stop button without putting the car in park. Looking for your input on this issue.
Good one. I never heard of a battery drain when parking that way. In fact with all the new vehicles 2024s+ that's always how I park the vehicle since it saves me a step from pressing the Park button altogether.
I would try parking normally to see if that resolves the issue but don't imagine it doing anything different. Battery drain the most common ways i've seen is with vehicle keys being left in the vehicle for a long time without the vehicle being used. This makes the car think you're still inside and won't fully go to sleep.
You could also try always locking your vehicle when exiting. This should help, or if you turn off the car and press the volume button for 3 secs, that should turn off the screens and lights as well.
If you have a 2024 there could be a good chance it may just be a bad battery. The 2024s are new and have been quite the software issues the last couple months. Ones that will be resolved eventually however.
My 3 series and x5 too turned off if you turned the engine off and opened the door, screens did same animation and turned off
When I stop the engine , the interior light will be on like the first trick. Will it be set to auto off if I hold the light button 3 seconds when I shut the engine as well?
If I remember correctly it may only apply when you open the doors, I will check on this one. But yes if you have the door open you can HOLD it for 3 seconds, and then now it will permanently stay off when you're enter / exiting the vehicle.
I do have a question for my BMW X5 (G05). I do notice that sounds from the rear speakers are very soft as complained by my passengers. Any idea why is it so? Or is there a setting that I missed?
The only setting that would control that would be in the sound settings. There should be a option in there that lets you control the fade on how forward or backward the sound can flow in the vehicle. If this is set to the middle and its still not working right, i'd get it checked.
Hi vaseem is it possible to tell me fuse numbers for hard wire connections on my 2017 430d uk model please.
Im not sure what you mean, could you clarify?
@@BeamerView I want hard wire 4G Dash cam in my bmw if you can help with fuse number in trunk or if there is any fuse located side of dashboard by front door.
@@maksudpatel8302 Hey Maksud, it should be either on the front passenger side under the glove box, or in the back side of the trunk. Look at this video. ua-cam.com/video/426xkRlenYY/v-deo.html
Also, this person installed a dashcam as well, that may show the fuse number. ua-cam.com/video/w1oTVAXt4Cc/v-deo.html
2024 x7 using remote start how do u get AC to automatically come on. I use remote start and AC does not come on so car is hot. Thank you
It should keep the temperature you had last when you exited the vehicle. I would recommend leaving a/c on at all times and just controlling the temperature in auto mode.
@@BeamerView yes u are correct as long as NOT on Max/AC. I called BMW. If on Max won’t cool down. Weird I know
Hello I have a brand new BMW and a iphone 13. I would like to mirror the iPhone screen to the BMW screen. When I got car the salesman told me it was possible and I looked at all UA-cam tricks and software but none work and it seems that this is only possible with Android phones. I call BWM support and they said it was not possible and gave me no explanation for the reason it does not work. Thank you.
Hey Hibou, I have only seen it compatible with Androids, and this was mostly when Android Auto was not available a few years ago.
The salesperson is incorrect on this one, BMWs can get a little confusing at times so many are not aware of details 100% and the features are constantly changing around.
The main reason why I could imagine it not being possible is for safety reasons. There is a reason why functions like Apple Carplay and Android Auto do not have apps that would distract the driver such as UA-cam or other visual ones.
Screen mirroring would serve as a risk hence why BMW got rid of it for their newer models. It could also be a government regulation.
Can the wireless charger be turned off?
Unfortunately not. You would have to do something along the lines of pulling a fuse or something.
@BeamerView well at least there is the storage in the arm rest, my phone superheats when it's on wireless charging.
Yes, you could use that, also if you place the phone improperly it should also prevent the wireless charging to engage.
BMW: Hey guys - let's add all of these secret hidden features in our cars. Me: Why? BMW: So UA-camrs can make content about them. Me: 🤦♂
How to stop BMW from honking in case you walk away from vehicle while the engine is on?? This one really gets on my nerves if I walk away to get something from my garage.
Safety Feature, no way to disable that unless you code it through the computer. It's letting you know that the key fob is going away from the vehicle. Which can make some sense since I did have a customer that forget to take their keys back with them.
"every BMW has [xxx] button[s]" ... umm ... yeah about that one ...
The vasttt majority ;)
