A Very smart move! We replaced our bus doors on our bus rv with a single french door after the electric board burned up to open and close. Tinted with plastic grids inside. So much quieter. However, after a year the door was real loose. Inside where the latch is splinted. We drilled thru and put steel plates on either side a tightened. So much better now. Know you will appreciate that door so much...
I just found myself talking to the video, giving you my opinion on what you should do to make the door fit. I'm an idiot. Interestingly, it turned out that you actually did what I was suggesting. Go figure... Another nice video guys!
Excellent "How-To" video! I need to do this on my bus, and your step-by-step will help tremendously. It looks great! Thanks so much for taking the time to record the process.
Great Job Wanderboom! One thing, I would definitely make sure to unscrew the full length door light insert and flip it around so the screws are on the inside.
That came out really good! Looks like it was meant to be there! 💜 Also, I never really noticed but the side table adds so much "extra" to the bus. Even folded down. That and the storage boxes add so much character! Just like you guys 💘 Great job, as always! 🙌🏻
That should quiet your ride while driving right? Well done. Looks like you lucked out with a square opening. Not sure what I would do with all metal door and frame if it was not square. Not like I could shim a frame. Lol looking forward to the next video.
👍🏻🙏❤️. Thank you for the detailed instruction. My doors are extremely heavy so I’ve been pondering and procrastinating their removal. It appears that gravity will be my friend on this one. 🤣 saving video for day I attack project. THANKS 😁🙏
Hi guys, the door looks Great! Have a question on a different note. I believe you all are a lot like us and acquire many recyclables. What do you do with them while boondocking?
We have a recycling bag along with our trash bin. Almost always recycling dumpsters by regular ones. We also burn cardboard and paper when we are able.😉✌️
How do you override the air pressure system that opens and closes the front door? My bus shifts into R and D, however it wont get any throttle response because there is no air pressure in the front door to close it all the way and depress the switch above door to turn safety light off. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I have a Neoplan AN440.
As soon as I saw the door leaning against the bus, I started hoping that you weren't going to mount it with the hinge pins on the outside. All it takes is a hammer and chisel to pop the pins out, and someone can just remove the door to get at your stuff.
Hi and thanks for watching.😉 it’s tougher to find exterior doors at 30”. Check with a local lumber yard or door supply company. They might be able to order one for you. Good luck.✌️👍
I wanted to see how you replaced the double door with a single hinged door. I didn't know you were going to narrate disassembly. You are not a very good educational video maker. No one cares that the bolts are rusty and snapped.
It takes a lot of pondering when solving these kinds of problems. Great work Eric!👍😊🤔
It looks like it was always there. Thanks for sharing.

Wow very nice job very cool I like it. WONDERBOOM strikes again awesome 🇨🇦🛠️🛠️🇨🇦🛠️
Nice Job! Definitely an item that I need to put on my Wanderboom to do list for winter of 2021/2022. Safe travels to both of you this summer and fall.

Good point. We will be adding a security film to Bothe sides. I can do that while I have it out. 😉👍
Yay, I was so excited to get this notification from you guys. Thank you!

So of course I watched these in teverse order but the engineering you came up with was excellent. You'll be so happy with the new door! Looks great.
Outstanding! Soooo much better for your needs

Nice job! I wanna see how you made those compartments on the side

Thanks and thanks for watching. Here’s our video of that. Be sure to subscribe.😉✌️
Nicely done

Very nice.
How has it held up? Has the glass cracked?
I wanted to use a house door but I'm afraid the grass glass isn't sturdy enough to hold up to Road abuse.
It’s been over 4 years and it’s doing great. Lots of washboard rough roads and a lot of miles. 👍 thanks for watching ☺️
What's stopping someone from popping the hinges and removing the door to gain access?
How do you override the air pressure system that opens and closes the front door? Ours had a manual opening system. So unfortunately I can’t help much on that one.✌️
There is a shuttle bus conversion page on Facebook. You might want to join it and ask there.👍
where are you located? Looks like Vegas
Actually we’re based out of Reno, so not too far off.😉✌️

Been noted before. We rarely leave it unattended and spend most of our time with a friend or two nearby.
My bus opening width is 30 1/4 do u know where i can find a door that fits that opening?

Do the hinges have locking pins so that cannot be taken out?
Oooo perfect!!!!
What did you do to tint your windows, all of them!?
The rest of the windows were already tinted when we bought the bus.
And thanks for watching! 😉✌️
@@Wanderboom yes thank you guys for the amazing videos, I just went to price a door
How do you remove the top pins
I believe once the doors were out, I could unscrew them. 👍
Since I got rid of the old doors, I didn’t try and remove the pins from the old doors.

I disagree, this is exactly what I needed to see.
