I’m one of those Randall mentioned “not a fan of mudflats”. However, I have heard a few Glad owners mention rock chips on the door hinges. Perfect case of function over form.
Nice job! Looks like a neat OEM factory accessory, I can see the need for them, helps save the body sides and steps behind them. Weather Tech makes great products. I might have to consider installing a set of these myself.
I just installed the Rokblokz flaps on mine and like them a lot. Mainly cause they have quick release if want to pull off for some reason. Took 2 hrs plus on the install though
Picking up my 2022 gladiator tomorrow. Learned alot from your videos, already bought all the accessories I need. Think I might grab some of those mud flags. I have a rubicon
I recently got those WeatherTech front & rear mud-flaps myself...but it's been too cold out (and snowing now) for comfort (even in my garage) to put them on -- will wait for warmer weather. Mine are also "no-drilling" and came with mounting hardware (same as yours). I'm thinking MAYBE I should have gotten those RokBlokz mud-flaps instead as they're "quick-detachable" when they need to be (for rock-crawling/rock gardens)...but they're pretty pricey, even more so than the also pricey WeatherTechs. They look kind of dorky on the truck though, but as usual, I'm more concerned with how it protects the sides of my Jeep (dirt/snow/ice and paint-knicking pebbles here in CO), AND keeps the MANY pebbles my 33" Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires can collect (I removed 110 pebbles one day) and then get thrown out to possibly hit cars behind me, so for me the flaps seemed to be a "must have" item. So I got mine to deal with BOTH those issues: Protect my Jeep AND the "help out" people behind me on the hwy. Will install the WeatherTech flaps soon...but if they do prove to be too vulnerable on the trail, will likely get the RokBlokz: Take the flaps off when I start on the trail, then put them back on when I get back on the road (pavement). Kind of like the airing-down/airing-up tires routine -- a hassle, yes, but it's just another "chore" associated with (safe) off-roading. ;-) "Jeep Wave" -- BR
Aloha and good 👍 evening 🌚 Rob. Randall and yourself did a marvelous job for this installation as the mud guards 👀 fabulous. Plus, this is a terrific mod to withstanding any mud debris from damaging the sides of the Jeep JT. Great video 📼 Rob.🚪🚪👀🐶🐕🐪🐫🤜🤛🙌👍🤙👌👉🏼👈🏿🍊📼🔅🌟🦄😇😊🔥🔑
I think this would only work for people that are not going to take their Gladiator off-road. I know this because I ripped off my mud-flaps years ago on my old Jeep when I went on a mild trail.
I would agree these are not for everyone. I am at best a limited off road driver [most off road is on a beach] if rock crawling definitely counter indicated
Great choice in flaps. I researched gladiator flaps for months and ended up choosing the weathertechs. By far the best fit and looking ones. I thought i would take them off this spring but seriously may leave on.
Rob thanks for the video. Just installed the weathertech fronts on my 20 sportS max tow. I have aftermarket steps so the cutouts are ineffective for me. Also the hardware was all black except for that inner most Philips bolt/nut. First took me about 20 and second about 15.
I just put these same flaps on my gladiator rubicon. The fronts fit the same as the ones in your video.. I also didn’t like the look of the screws, so I used plastic rivets for all the holes, front and back. The rivets were quicker and look great.
So is there a reason you can't use thumb screw screws like the Rokbloks to hold these flaps on? I get you'll need to put the thumb screw in if you take the flap off. Seems the weathertech look better than the Rokbloks but the simple on off of the RB is better.
Are the mud flaps working? Are they too short? That’s why I didn’t go with Weather Tec or Mopar. I just got mine from a auto store till I find ones I like without going broke 😂. Rocks were not only hitting the paint but it was hitting my back window!
Well, I am not sure I like the look of the flaps. I do see where they can protect the paint but considering mine probably will never see off-roading....I will hold off. Thanks for showing.
@@robmotiveplus Ok..after getting nicks on my new jeep hindges and the mud up the side....I broke down, I am not holding off anymore and ordered the mud flaps.
Check in the Tacoma, maybe the missing parts are with the 10mm socket. The Tacoma probably stole them. I installed a similar set of mud flaps on a Jeep Renegade and they worked great.

accordind to Weather Tech , the mudflaps should fit 2020-23 jeep Gladiator Mojave and Rubicon, but if i order from the Canadian site, they tell me that there is not mudflaps yet for the 2023 Mojave, I sent and enquiry to the sales departement , will keep you posted. Thanks for you quick return yesterday!@@robmotiveplus
@@robmotiveplus I have to say Rob, between your channels, content, and consistency I really wish you luck with UA-cam. You put a lot of work into it. Not to mention the Loans/cost of a Tacoma, ram, and gladiator. And you comment to the viewers, which a lot of UA-camrs do not do. Hats off to you sir.
Thanks! I love what I do. Responding to all comments should be common practice for all Tubers. I really appreciate viewers taking the time to watch my content and interact with me. I absolutely understand that they don’t have to👍

I love mudflaps but they don’t make them for rubicon. Love the bed liner paint tip!

@@randallupton3622 I wasn't even rock crawling. That was just how deep some of the ruts were. 🤣😂😅
RokBlokz for my Mojave...love them.

Took a while to install, but I think they came out well👍
@RobMotiveJT great to hear. They sure help keep the elements off the side of gladiator.
Heck yeah the install was Def a bit of a headache lol
I want some soft but firm mod flaps for my tacoma. Nice Job guys.
Rob thanks for the video. Just installed the weathertech fronts on my 20 sportS max tow. I have aftermarket steps so the cutouts are ineffective for me. Also the hardware was all black except for that inner most Philips bolt/nut. First took me about 20 and second about 15.
Great video Rob!
I personally don't care for them, however it's not my rig, so my opinion doesn't matter.
Lol! Thanks 👍
Thanks for the video. I've been on the fence about these but they really look nice and will do a great job of protecting the sides.
Glad to help👍
My set just came in I pre Painted my Screws & Washers after scuffing them up Installing tomorrow.👍🏻
Nice! I should have done that too👍👍

Good idea👍
good watch putting mine on tomorrow.
Where did Randel get his rivet removal tool?
Had to order for rubicon because Mohave had no lasting.
Had to do the same thing
Nice clean look! Well done gentlemen
Thanks👍
I have these as well and really like them. took me 45 min.
No bad👍
I have a 21 Mojave and the spray of snow and mud goes right up to the door handles. The flaps aren't pretty but neither is the back spray!
Definitely should help👍
I like the bumpers Randall has on his gladiator
Me too👍
Paint the screws first, then install. I bought the mopar mud flaps and used plastic black rivets that match original fastners. Only $20 on amazon
That would have been a good way to go👍
I just did the same thing! 👍🏼

I’m not familiar with those🤔
Those Rubicon flaps have a cutout for the Rubicon rock rails which he doesn't have...not a fan. I have Rokblokz and love them, pricey though

Weather Tec or Mopar.

Too early to tell. They’ve been on only a short period of time🤔
I didn’t like the stainless steel bolts , so I got some black aluminum ones , it looks some much better
Can you please share the link to buy them, I have Gladiator Mojave 2022
Sorry…I do not have a link.
