Say what you want. Hardwired to self destruct is a fantastic album. There are some songs I would have dropped, but overall I truly enjoy it.
100% agree, fucking loved it. in my opinion the best since justice!
I agree with you both on what Hardwired is, a great album. I wouldn’t go that far saying it’s the best since Justice though. I really enjoy Death Magnetic and, as a whole, it makes more sense to me than Hardwired. I mean it has less low-points but, also, I really think it contains three songs that are higher quality than anything since Black Album (moth into flame, halo on fire and spit out the bone)
@@metalusadamantium6650 good points!
Absolutely.
Easily four songs on disc 2 that could’ve been dropped, but a really solid album.
@@shmick6079 Exactly. The first disc is gold. I would have dropped most of disc 2 and it would have been perfect.
It's great to see Metallica's newer stuff getting the respect it deserves. So many people seem to think "good Metallica" died forever with the black album, as if Death Magnetic and Hardwired never happened.
One of the influences on the lyrics according to James was Amy Winehouse, and the doc Amy.
Metallica - Here comes Revenge (My favorite riff on this album)
It classic already
Metallica - all nightmare long !!!
Vin listening Mama Said "Doesn't this sound like Blackened? 🤣😂
Metallica-The Outlaw Torn
There’s a great pro shot video of Metallica playing this song at a show I was at in St. Louis at Busch Stadium 2017 on their official page. Rained the entire time. I was miserable but damn it was one of the best shows I have seen.
Metallica - So what. Im recommending that song since 2018 lol
They did it already, like almost half of the songs recommended in the comment section.
@@jol9178 no they didnt
Best song from their last album
This song is about Amy Winehouse. James Hetfield made this song after watching the documentary
Didn't he write it after he listened to She-Wolf and digging up The Four Horsemen?
He dedicated it to Amy Whitehouse live in Manchester (2017) but I think it's to all who fall foul of the need for fame
Vin listening to every Metallica song "Doesn't this sound like Blackened?"
I'm just glad they're closer to doing every Metallica song so they can stop.
I’m throwing a party when they play the last Metallica song!
It will still be awhile, but 3 years from now we can all celebrate.
Then they might just maybe do some of the other bands that "Started the channel" after avoiding them for half a year because they "did them too much".
Doesn't he always say "And Justice For All"... was his favorite album but doesn't know how "To Live Is to Die" merges with "Dyers Eve" ?
Hell of a song..and video..I was fortunate to see it and hear it live last year..epical experience..I've read a while ago that Amy's life and the way she left was an inspiration 4 James..I guess that he was touched a bit by the way Amy suffered and gone..not only Amy but many artists who ended like that..HTSD is their new Justice and Black album
Ha! Sori's face when you said sad but true......MIND BLOWN😆😆
I love love LOVE the point that Sori makes about being the type of person who leaves positive comments on posts! I wish everyone would use these comment-oriented social media platforms to inspire and lift others up!! Great video!! (And I love this song!!)
The dude spoke throughout thebBEST part of the song, the epic solo!
I like that no ads are on your guys videos, I think your the only UA-camrs that I watch that don't have any. KUDOS TO YOU GUYS. Can't wait to bump into you guys when I'm passin' through Lewitown some day.And that connection you made with the Blacked song, HA I did the same thing, it sounds so similar. That just prove that Metallica is harking back to there roots. Such a great new album from them. Hope they keep going in reveres and keep on making amazing music.
Love this song and the album
they still got it!!
The Drapery Falls by Opeth is a must !
I second that.
I third that.
I totally agree. One of my most favorite songs ever.
There's so many sounds. It's hard not to revisit some of them.
Great song. Another great song off this album is ManUnkind. You have to watch the official video with it too, to get the story.
I guess sometimes Social Media can be "Some Kind of Monster.." 🤘🤘🤘
I hope you get the reference to Metallica..
Iron Maiden - 22 Acacia Avenue.
WASP - The great Misconceptions of Me, Chainsaw Charlie, The Idol, all great 90s songs that deal with fame and music industry
I second this request.
The whole album needs a listen!
Absolutely!!! I just recently got the 1998 remastered version of The Idol as a deluxe edition. The second CD with bonus studio and live songs was a huge bonus for this MASTERPIECE. Chainsaw Charlie Murders In The New Morgue is easily one of my favorite W.A.S.P. songs ever.
My favorite actor, Zachary Levi, said a couple years ago that he does obviously have fans but he can go out in public mostly in anonymity. That's probably not the case now since he was the star of DCs Shazam! movie.
The middle part has the same structure as Disposable Heroes.
now, that's a damn good track!
Metallica - So What!
oh god
Not sure they're ready lol
Sori would love the lyrics!
@@punxsutawneyphil3944 who wouldnt!?
They did it already, like almost half of the songs recommended in the comment section.
Best song from this album!
Spit Out The Bone
@@danielbassing my second favorite and Halo on Fire at third 🤘🏻
Moonspell - Full Moon Madness
Opeth - Godhead's Lament
People have always responded to validation, it's just that there is more access to social things now than ever. It feels weird, but I think this is pretty good for society as a whole. It means information spreads faster than ever. It also means we have validation on demand, and you have to balance that out. The important thing to pick up, in my opinion, isn't how much validation, but who is giving you that validation. There was this interesting special on HBO that had a bunch of comedians doing a round table type discussion, and the interesting thing is they mostly agreed that they didn't really go into comedy for fame. It wasn't about the size of the audience. It was more about being one of the guys that comedians like. It was the who, and not the amount. The more I think about that the more I think that is one of the key features of successful people - they don't care about how much validation, they care about the right validation.
That riff on Blackened DID NOT sound like the bridge on this song. When two songs are on the same scale, you are bound to hit one or two similar/overlapping notes. That way, pick any two songs in a similar genre and I bet you can find similar sounding notes/riffs somewhere. That doesn't qualify either of them to be even 'inspired' from the other. That analysis of yours is completely wrong.
On a side note: I do like both your analysis and commentary and thoughts on most of them. Cheers!
Vin does that all the time. He wants Sori to believe he knows more about guitar than he really does. Sori buys into it because she doesn't know any better, which is a common theme on this channel.
I can see where he got the connection, I dont think he was completely out of the ballpark with the connection.
Yeah,its not that far off
Vin is a guifakist 😆😆😆😆
It does have a similar sound so I agree with Vin.
Pantera:the art of shredding
Amon Amarth - Into the Dark
Haven't watched a vid in quite some time. See myself getting mentioned in the first 35 sec... So I'm just here sending some love. There. Love. Done ;)
You did this one already. It’s interesting to see how your opinions have evolved.
THIS SO FUCKIN' ROCKS!
Easily one of the best songs on this album along with Dream No More, Halo on Fire, and ManUnkind
Switch out ManUnkind for Spit Out The Bone and Here Comes Revenge and that's how I feel
Atlas rise
I don’t know about ManUNkind. For me personally, it was my least favorite song on the album.
"If one won't do that fist full will" always liked that line
Great song 💪🏼, Metallica 4Ever
Im waiting for Damage Inc...
I think they've done it already. Few months back. 🙂
Kaeas - Sean Lee Riggs nope. They didn’t. I hope they see these recommendations
Blackened album is their best
@@williams6586 wow, really, could've sworn they released a review maybe as an excerpt from one of their Rock-a-Thons!? 🤔
Guess I need some sleep, lol
@@williams6586 Yeah you're right, I just went through their Metallica playlist of vids/reviews and it was Disposable Heroes that they did, and not Damaged Inc.
Well, now they NEED to listen to it!!!!
Not quite the similarity. But I can see why it might seem similar. Just the fact that the Blackened riff the chords goes up in key (the starting chord is lower than the ending chord) and the Moth Into Flame riff the chords goes down in key (the starting chord is higher than the ending chord).
Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams
The song is literally about Amy Winehouse...
" ..and I'm thankful for every fan that I get,
but I can't take a shit in the bathroom without someone standing by it!
no I won't sign your autograph,
you can call me an asshole, I'm glad" - Eminem
This is basically what your point was about how exhausting that status can be, and it is in a way similar to this song's situation.. at least IMO =)
You guys should react to Hypnotizing Power. It's a short documentary on Metallica. It would be cool as hell to watch you all react to that
It reminds me of Disposable Heroes.
Wowww Metallica!!
Scars of life:purity, mute, dead and gone, shallow.
Metallica songs kick ass!😊
Awesome song review Discharge-Here Nothing See Nothing Say nothing
Since you mentioned social media, I recommend that you listen to Nightwish: Noise.
Nope, nothing to do with Blackened. I still enjoy HTSD a lot!! Great and underrated record. At least 60% of it is worth
Underrated? Never about anyone hating on this
Dream Theater - The Dance Of Eternity (live)
If anything they should do Scenes from a Memory in order.
Doing Dance of Eternity alone doesn't seem right to me.
@@apeflight5553 yeah that will be a completely different experience for them
Protest the Hero - Tilting Against Windmills
It’s not in your catalogue but I swear you’ve done this one before. Had to be the rockathon.
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nets
Great band
Hell yeah!!
They are not bad not that good either
Crucifixation or If Not Us Then Who
hey vin and sori hello from dominican republic
Hey Vin and Sori I was wondering if you would like to react to Witchtaint. They are a comedy black metal esque band. The song changes is amazing! It would be awesome if you reacted. Thank you :) You rock!
"The circle" by wild man Fischer
React to Angra - Carolina IV
More Metallica reactions, guys! Next up I highly recommend "that was just your life"
Hi guys...! Please do:
Rebel in t he F.G.D. or The great Missconceptions of Me - W.A.S.P.
Burning Time (live) / Angels Holocaust - Iced Earth
In my Sword I trust/ For those About to Fight for Metal - Ensiferum
Sacred Worlds - Blind Guardian
Haggard - Eppur si Muove
Design your Universe (live) - Epica
Awaken from the Dark Slumber (Spring) - Wintersun
This album actually has a lot of metareference to their previous work. Definitely did another relisten before they wrote it like with Death Magnetic.
Opeth - The Drapery falls.... please
If I’m not mistaken, I think you guys did Moth Into Flame during the Rockathon already
Yeah they did,but they didn’t pay attention when they did those songs
Metallica-End of the line, Cyanide. Both from the Death Magnetic Album.
There was that version that someone made this sound like it was on ..and justice for all.... was way heavier sounding
React to just a bullet away, Metallica-beyond magnetic
James hetfield is such and underrated lyricist!
Yeah, that’s what I thought the moment I heard that middle section. It like... wait a minute... that’s Blackened.
Please for the love of god... DREAM THEATER - THE GLASS PRISON
What james has said he’d rather talk to you instead you taking your phone out right away, ”look who i met”. Also not disturbing if he’s out with family. Pretty damned reasonable i think.
Hi Sori Really Nice Dress on you - Mullholland Drive is Directed by David Lynch check out his other Movies he often does his Movies like Dreams of Mysterious Connections -
Y’all have to do dystopia - my meds aren’t working! I feel like it would give you an interesting perspective from people being pumped full of pills and the state of our healthcare system. Or do Iron Maiden - infinite dreams!
I was suprised you didn't react to this yet xD
They did. I think in their Rockathon in November? Sorry for my English it's not the best, i know :D
How about BabyMetal? Metallica liked them so much that they danced along behind the curtain as BabyMetal opened up for them. Check out Road of Resistance, Live in Japan.
Avenged sevenfold afterlife live lbc
it would be awesome if you and Sori react to Five Finger Death Punch - This Is War, Five Finger Death Punch - Jekyll And Hyde, Skillet - Monster and/or Skillet Legendary.
The Moth - Death Angel
Fantastic song
Guys, I noticed you still haven't finished Ride the Lightning. Escape is the last song left.
Do Orbit Culture- Hardwired- Metallica cover its Epic!!!
Im still waiting for the gg allin reaction
Check out Now That We’re Dead off of Hardwired. Probably one of the most religious/spiritual song James has ever written.
Nazareth - Sold My Soul. And for that song you have to title the video "Christians react..."
still waiting for " sorrow " from pulse
Sorrow pink floyd pulse concert but make sure you get the hd version
react to,The Darkness - Love Is Only A Feeling
If you want a song that feels super relevant, react to mob rules by black sabbath. It's fronted by Dio and....well just look at "Chaz"
react to the lady gaga/metallica dress rehearsal....
Lady GaGa owned this song at the Grammys. Worth checking out.
False
Here comes revenge next please. same album
Before Crush - A bruxa ANGOLA METAL CORE
How about "Now That We're Dead". Great album.
Theres a song on this album that's got a megadeth riff in it too
Am I Savage ? ..
Think ima be an old man by the time they react to My Dying Bride
I was thinking a AHeard song lol,,,, into the flame.
The blackened comparison is a bit of a stretch.
It is true that Metallica has gone back to the 80s and An justice for all for inspiration for their last 2 albums. They are trying to be 80s Metallica for the 21st Century. They are doing a good job after the mixed Load/Reload and the Nu Metal sounding St Anger. Metallica will never be the same since after black album but the last 2 album are a mix of 80s and 90s Metallica.
