- In Episode Three of Loop Pedal Basics we are going to lay down a drum beat over the guitar loop we created last week in Episode 2. We shall cover the basics of acoustic guitar drumming. Looking at a simple Bass and Snare drum pattern, that you can loop and layer to create variations.

The double kick at the end of the bar is a good idea. As for my drum sound, I like to use a mic and do some vocal drum. Funny to see what you can have when you start to loop everything at the end of the record process.

You can use a pick and tap on the wood with the small end for a high hat.
Would you ever have the drum side of things on a separate track with different effects to the acoustic melodic lines? So more drum kit appropriate compression etc?

Thanks for the sub! Glad you enjoyed it! Not too much to my EQ, I sometimes BOOST the bass a tiny amount, but it can cause a bit of 'boomy' feedback in certain venues!

Great content! suscribed. Do you happen to have a video on the setup/settings? I struggle to make the kick sound good on a PA system. The best sound I get is when I use it with my studio monitors, but still, it's tricky. Do you apply some compression? or lower the gain everytime you play the kick? Hopefuly you have the time to answer, or someone on here can give me some guidance! Thanks so much :)
Interesting. I play a uke so that's what I have to use for a loop. I have to look through your videos to see if you have a Looping Rhythms For Dummies because I haven't used the darn thing yet! Nice video.
