>the latest evidence that Melee is so deep and we arent even close to the bottom this knowledge is like 10 years old minimum lol it's like westballz's entire game since forever
This is very old tech and is Westballz signature gameplan for shield pressure. However, what is new is Hax's way of explaining it. There's a lot of tech that is like this. But there is still entirely new tech to uncover. Aside from just simply hoping that's true, I personally am holding on to a handful of new tech people actually don't know about. And a few things like in this video, that only some know about. But have not been properly explained. At least until my recording studio is completed.
short for triangle jump. if u delay the airdodge as if u were wavedashing, u will get the invul frames from the airdodge, and can pass thru attacks/chracters. then if u land on the ground right after, u land like normal. it still counts the waveland frames once u land, i know a lot of old heads used to use it when ppl were bad
Only Melee would have a full-on video about something that lives entirely within a 2 frame existence (aka 32ms)...Melee players are a special breed, I swear.
As a PSA to everyone, uncle punch’s spacie tech OSD counts frames after a JC shine like this: Frame 1: 1 Frame 2: 2 Frame 3: 1 Frame 4: 2 Frame 5: 3 When fox/falco gets re-grounded, the counter starts over. So when it says you act frame 1 out of shine after a jc shine, you are either acting on frame 1 or 3. The earlier will let you double jump, while the latter will give you jump squat. This is important to realize when practicing this tech in uncle punch. And remember it only applies after a jc shine, not a regular shine.
IS THIS WHY I CANT MOVE OUT OF DASH JC SHINE FOR THE LIFE OF ME Im doing it too fast. Ffs, thanks for this. I need to stop being lazy and actually look at the frames when things are going wrong.
Shines should be given the Ness treatment anyways. The fact that so many people have sunk so many hours practicing an exploit does nothing to consecrate as anything other than what it is, a gameplay replacing overpowered mechanic that should have been modded out the second it was possible.
I use shine to reflect projectiles.
BASED
And blippilled
Wait, shine can reflect projectiles?

Videos Like this is why melee is the goat. i haven't played this game for years. yet it feels like some new tech is always right around the corner.
Is it really new tech or just a video explaining what we already know?
@@CrusaderWill no it still isn’t new tech, hax explaining it to the general player base doesn’t make it new, rather gate kept
Yeah idk this is kinda old knowledge, Westballz was doing this in like 2014 and probably earlier tbh
Doesn't matter if it's new or not, the video can bring the knowledge of the general player base, forcing more players to get better
Something tells me that shine is a pretty decent move. Thank you, Hax!
hax: here are the intricacies of the 2 frame window and heres why trijumping is the optimal multishine method
mango: haha down b go blip
This is some insanely hard tech, but it's just the latest evidence that Melee is so deep and we arent even close to the bottom

druggedfox told me about this once in reference to optimal westballz pressure
Damn you just made me realize that i‘ve been missing multishines due to unknowingly inputting jump within those 2 ‘special frames‘. Cheers hax
Thats why I always mess around with frame advance when I cant get a tech to work, you discover so many mechanics at play like this one.
Delay: 2f
Lmao
Hundreds of crucial triangle jumps throughout melee history explained in 3 minutes
Banger video. I cannot believe I didn’t know this.
Only 79 more years until we're free from 20XX.
I learned this myself with the 20XX TE developer mode where you can advance frame by frame with the Z button.
I've always known about the two airborne frames but i never thought about tri-jumping thru that
This is the first time in a long time that I have no clue what a melee video is talking about
This fox character seems like he could be pretty good
