    The 384 somehow looks much better than the 640!

      What? No it doesnt. I can see the blurry pixels on the left. Human shapes are way sharper on the right.
      @7:13 look at the top of the trees... The detail on the right is WAY better. The right also has a much wider FOV.

    It feels like you zoomed in the mh25 but not the rh25. I have the rh25 it is a fantastic piece of equipment, truly a game changer!

      The RL is a 2X and the RH is a 1X. That's why it looks different.

    I think you got the 640 and the 384 mixed up.. 640 will always be more clear and crisp

    The mounting accessories look pretty similar to Rico RH25 accessories. I'd wager that all you need to mount it as a clip-in, is the Rico Micro Pictail Helmet/Weapon Shoe. Have you tried that one since the video was made?

    • @falconclaw_
      @falconclaw_  9 місяців тому

      We are located at EU. RH25 and PFN640+ are basically the same. RH25 is just name for the US market. Here in EU we only have black housing. About Rico Micro mounting set: It's ITAR so unfortunately no, we haven't been able to try it. With included picatinny mount we can build clip-on set up with unity riser for the LPVO.

      @@falconclaw_ geez even that thing is ITAR? Do we have any other option to attach the PFN to a flip to side mount (like Wilcox)?

    This looks intriguing. I have seen in many places that for head-mounted use, people recommend a PVS-14 lens on the MH-25, would such a modification be required for this one as well or does it offer a good size of image in the viewfinder out of the box?

    • @Vorname_Nachnahme
      @Vorname_Nachnahme 2 роки тому +2

      This. The manufactures blabber of feature-multiverses but crown their queens with crappy viewfinders you have to literally poke into you eye(s) to see 95% of what the screen actually has to offer. Which basically can be considered an insult. But i guess a classy eyepiece like pvs-14 style does cost the equivalent amount of money, ... which scares the customer away and will be the reason no brand wants to take this first step. But anyways, dear falcon crew, could you please answer mhe0815's question? ...

    • @falconclaw_
      @falconclaw_  2 роки тому +2

      MH25 can't stand rifle recoil so it suits only as handheld or helmet mounted thermal. When running protective goggles etc, MH25 original rear optics will be bit too far and to counter that we have MH25 PVS14 eyepiece upgrade. With PFN such rear eyepiece upgrade is not necessary, even with goggles. If user feels PFN original "circle" view is not perfect, PFN "clip-on (square)" view behaves exactly the same as MH25 after the PVS-14 eyepiece upgrade. PFN downside next to MH25 is size and weight, but pro is reticle option and recoil tolerance.

      @@falconclaw_ Thank You for clarifying. Additional questions:
      1.) Does the RicoMicro have a 1:1 representation of the area one is looking at (like for example the PVS14 does) in both modi, the rectangular AND the circular view?
      2.) Is there a European version of the Micro and an US-version on the market (because i saw pictures with different looking Micros) and if, what are the differences?

      @@Vorname_Nachnahme Very good questions, I would like to know that too!

    • @Vorname_Nachnahme
      @Vorname_Nachnahme 2 роки тому +3

      3.) What is the shortest distance the Micro can deliver a sharp image? Hopefully somewhat in the armlength-range so that one is able to actually get some "work" done with thermal eyes.

    Mate do you have the 384 and the 640 above the images displayed in the right order as the 384 on the left looks a lot better clarity

    • @falconclaw_
      @falconclaw_  2 місяці тому

      They are in the correct order yes, the 384 might seem better at some distances and heat signatures, it is also not 1x but more like 1.3x zoom baseline. The sensor in them is slightly different, the 384 has 384×288/17um and 640 640×512/12um so they identify some aspects differently.

    Price is stupid compared to here in the US. Is this even able to be sent to a US buyer? And if so would they just figure out a way to tax it to make up for the difference? We’re talking a $1500 difference for the 640 version. Kind of weird though that the 384 actually costs more there than it does here.

    This is a $5,800 optic... they try to gaslight buyers by putting "affordable" scope. They give this to youtubers' for free or practically free or cheap. No, thanks you can keep the Pfalcon 640+...
    There are better and cheaper thermal optic options

    • @falconclaw_
      @falconclaw_  2 місяці тому

      There are cheaper but not better ones, if you buy new this will outperform others in this price range, I have yet to see one that does. If you know of one let us know, we will try and make a comparison side-by-side.

      Quite similar, but "clip-on square" feel is same, which PVS14 eyepiece upgrade gives to MH25.
