Keep up the good job continue to show them how it's done correctly
Nice work! I normally bevel plastic drainage pipe but I'm over cautious.
Just drilling through LVL with impunity 🤣🤣
I agree you should not drill large holes in an LVL, but where are they doing that? I see a lot of drilling through engineered wood I joists, which is a different kind of framing member from an LVL, and it is ok to put reasonable holes in those wood I joists for plumbing.
Don't use Y on vertical stack.
@@steventhury8366 can you explain why? I'm DIY and would like to know.
@@jsd4979 If there is a trap feeding a wye on a vertical stack, the weir of the trap will then be higher than where the trap gets it's vent, and could possibly create a siphon at the trap.
Plenty of good videos on this that explain it well. When pipes switch from horizontal to vertical, get in a habit of always joining with T. A wye is for branching off from horizontal to horizontal. Then you have the issue of how much to tilt the wye upward, which depends if the wye is being used for a wet vent.
You can search bathroom group wet venting. Lots of good videos on that.
