- This is a quick update about my Audi with the 3.0T CREC Supercharged engine consuming excessive amounts of oil and misfiring. Same engine in Audi Q7, A6, A7, A8, S4, S5, SQ5.

I have the exact same car, even same year. Did you have to do walnut blasting ever due to carbon buildup? I have 340k km on the odometer and the car works fine but when I floor it, it doesn't achieve 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds but more like 8-10sec.
@@surena9451 , no I have not. It runs fine as is, but I also have only 107k miles on it. Only issue I have are a lot of oil leaks. The worst right now is the timing covers.
Thank you for making these videos, it is really helpful, i have a 2017 Q7 with the 3.0T and your videos gives me confidence to do the WP, Thermostat and the PCV. Also your english is a lot more better than most people here in Canada! Keep the great videos coming!

If you get it fixed, I would not adhere to the Audi recommended 10k oil change interval. Go with 5k miles/6 months or less

The purpose of the soak is not to fix the misfires but to clean the combustion chamber and free the piston rings to fix the oil consumption issue. If I am able to fix the oil consumption issue, then I will be willing to open the motor to replace the possibly burnt valves that are causing the misfires 👍🏾

You have such a nice audi. They should be ashamed for putting such garbage engines in their newer cars.

Alright. You know Audi usually has those problems with most of the gasoline engines before 2016. Especially 2.0tfsi and the 3.0 crec
The problem with the 2.0T was known but the 3.0T was considered reliable. The CREC changed that 👎🏾
I would get an engine stand and take her out for your rebuild videos.
I am not dropping the engine. I've been saying this since the beginning, and I haven't changed my mind in that regard. The labor doing so is excessive, and I don't have the necessary expensive tools.

That was the plan but I changed my mind for three valid reasons. First, I was very angry and desperate I won't have any working car to move me around but my brand new Suzuki Vitara which is an awesome car changed that. Second, I thought the car would die in a matter of days so I can ditch it but it didn't. Third, after the anger has passed, I realized it is not wise to get rid at lost of a car I'm still paying a high rate for and that I will keep paying for the next 7 years. So I kept it. It is my last Audi nonetheless.

@surena9451 I abused it a lot and it needed lot of expensive repairs. The plan was to use the A7 and take my time to gradually fix the problems of the 3.2, but the A7 turned out to have this problem which f-up my plans. I also lost interest in the brand after what happened.
New pistonrings can solve the problem, its a common issue with these cars
That would be ideal but it is a lot more complicated job requiring engine removal that I don't want to take on. The purpose of the soak is to clean and free the piston rings.
@@ThatAfricanGuy In Europe Audi with TFSI engines are fitted with new, harder, pistonrings. It does fix the oilconsumption. I know its a big job, but you can take your time since you do have an other daily driver.

I think 5k miles should be the maximum I would do. I do 5k km, which is a little more than 3k miles.
