Sorry. Not on facebook. I enjoy your videos. Your trip through Woodland Caribou Provincial Park, reminds me of my trip to the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota. Not too far from each other, so makes sense. Kevlar canoe, portaging, wildfires, pike, and lake trout. Thank you for the outdoors advice, and thank you for the male pride. If you dont know who Jordan Peterson is, look him up. Thanks, again.

Id love to see him in the role of homeless heroin junkie trapping sewer rats for food and using their skin to fashion thongs and lingerie for all the girls turning tricks that share the same alley with him. Which he turns into a cottage industry and ends up being elected king of the hobos and eventually wins the United States presidential nomination for the Libertarian party.

I really enjoyed the narrative of the video. This is a situation I’m sure someone out there has faced, and somebody will face it again. What you’re doing is providing knowledge and know how that could save someones skin out there. Definitely one of my favorite content creators and I hope you keep enjoying making videos as much as we enjoy watching!

9:20 Small correction, rust does not cause tetanus. It's only associated with it. It's most commonly transmitted through animal droppings. Any deep wound can cause tetanus, whether it's rusty metal, a sharp stick, or an animal bite. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetanus#Cause
Historically the association with rusty nails (or metal) likely came from the nails used in horse-shoeing. That deep nail cavity in the hoof is an ideal breeding ground for tetanus. With blacksmith nails being expensive, one was most likely to encounter a discarded nail from a fallen horseshoe.

Mark Shapner, I am glad that you pointed that common misconception about rust allegedly causing tetanus. Rust is a mere oxide of iron. Tetanus bacteria come from the manure of animals like the horse, etc.

My boot laces I replaced with 550 cord that's double the needed length so I can take one cut it in half to lace my boots and have about a 6' length of 550 cord

I discovered your channel while doing a search on "survival fishing" for this is a subject I have much interest in! Did not find it silly at all, for it proved some important information for those who may end up in a similar situation. Because of my own experience fishing in the wilderness, in areas that got very little fishing pressure, I would state that in those places you may be hard pressed to find fishing line. In those situations, what would you use instead? I love your channel and subscribed.

Caught 5 Large trout while hand lining with No pole. Then gutted them and made a snowshoe shaped green willow holder to cook them over a fire in Guard camp. The guys had refused to share gear and I did not share those fish; man, was I ever full.

I just watched survivorman do a week from a kayak in summertime alaslan coast and he ate basically everything raw. He ate the raw fiddle heads. Raw kelp. Raw river water. Raw fish. He called it sushi. If you're already used to it, it's not typically going to be of a huge concern. That's why it's important to practice and go out there and take specimens that you can nibble on from the safety and security of your own home to get your immune system conditioned for your surroundings before it needs to be depended on. You don't wait until you're trying to survive to eat the raw fiddleheads unless you want explosive veggie diarrhea.
