Dear Cori, there is no need to excuse anything! We - your YT followers - wait until the video is ready. Thank you for taking the time to teach us! Wishing you and your family a nice trip to Texas, take care! Hugs from Helen 🤗🇳🇴
Thank you for your perseverance to make this video for us. We appreciate all the time you devote to this. Have a great trip to Texas with your daughter. Stay safe
Lots of great information! Thank you for sticking with it and filming it 5 times. I don’t think people who don’t record videos understand how much extra is required to make a video. I appreciate it more than I can express. You are such a great teacher and I thank you for sharing this stuff. Never thought of making a book like this but I like it. I recently bought a journal on Amazon (for the paper) and it’s bound really different. Maybe I’ll try to share it on your Etsy because I’ve never seen a book bound like this but it’s really kinda cool.
Thank you for showing us this next step before you go to Texas. So upsetting that it takes so many tries, not what you needed. But we appreciate it all the same. Have a great trip with your daughter. Looking forward to the next video.
You've the patience of a saint and persistence to boot to keep going after so many takes/mishaps with the videos. I would have given up and call it a day. :)

Thank you so much for your time and sharing your detailed process. Sometimes when I struggle I think it’s because I don’t have much experience. I guess perseverance pays off, your project turned out wonderful
Great video to show a different way to put together a journal! Thanks for your efforts and hard work to get it videotaped! Safe travels on your trip to Texas!

Hope we don’t actually get it everyday and you have a chance to get out and see the sites. Enjoy your trip and I look forward to your next video.

I also think that we are pretty familiar with fast forwarding or just exercising a wee bit of patience. I have certainly had to down tools and take a few calming breaths before the project I am working on is launched (not gently) across the room! You carry on and don’t worry about us. We’re fine.

Thank you for all your amazing videos. I appreciate you take the time to explain your thought process. I have learned sOo much from your easy to follow (real life) tutorials. And the (school of hard knocks) tips are appreciated. Don't apologize (but do tell) of video mishaps...it reminds us how much it takes a crafter to prepare, make and share a video. Don't change a thing, keep doing what you're doing. Your videos have stepped up not only my outlook, style and confidence of junk journaling.
Thank you, Cori. Some days just don’t go to plan. Life steps in and tosses our plan aside. I truly appreciate your persistence in doing this video so many times! I would be a bumbling mess by now! You have carried on and delivered a valuable instructional video. Well done! Time to take a break from journals and really enjoy your time with your daughter in Texas! 😀💞

How frustrating for you to keep doing this over but I'm so glad you did, I've really enjoyed this Idea book series and am going to have a go at the cover. Great video Cori, thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for teaching me how to bind that way so I can have the correct space for adding the embellishments. I am new in this beautiful, awesome and enjoyable work/art/craft and I love it love it love it 😍. By the way yours videos were the first I saw and I enjoy each one of them no matter how long or how old they are! Thanks again!
Thank you and welcome! I'm sure you've seen by now that how I sewed those signatures in is NOT the normal or most common way. A three, or my preferred, five hole pamphlet stitch is a lot faster and more common.
I’ve been looking for this video and finally found it. I cannot make my books from end to start. Lol. Especially if I want mine smaller. I have to make sure my pieces will fit in the book as I go along, nonetheless, I appreciate all you do to help us get there. I just wish there were an easier way to follow along.
Cori, want to share something you might be interested in. Look at Clover hot press rulers. You can get them at JoAnn’s and use a coupon. When I was adding the pages to the heat and bond I laid them on this ruler and ironed on the ironing board. It worked perfectly! Can’t wait to put the book together. Thanks for all you do!
I'm not a fan of accordion spines either. I'm a coptic stitch addict! I've done stacking and slide on but happier with coptic and hidden spine. I've fixed a warped rubber mat by wrapping in a towel and ironing 😄. That's a cool pen! Oh bless, you've had a right old time of it! You never need to apologise Cori 😁. On behalf of everyone, thank you for all the effort you put in and all the helpful information! 💖
Cori, you crack me up :) I am thinking this will make a wonderful Gratitude journal for a friend of mine in the UK. After I get all the Christmas cards written in - I made mine in August/September this year - and them in the mail, I will make a start in on one. Thank you.
Thank you, Cori! Your instructions are so clear. I think I can do this! I’m looking forward to seeing your signature rack and cotton frizz rack. I’m glad I’m not the only one who loses things on my desk that I just had in my hand two seconds earlier! 😄
Thank you Paula. Really, I was convinced this video would be a fail. So many mishaps and wrong steps! I’m sharing the signature rack and cotton frizz rack on Instagram, if you’d like to see them.
Thank you! I did that at first, but it was a bit tougher to get the frayed edges with the heat and bond on them. So, I went with cutting both to different widths and then ironing. But if I didn't love that frayed edge...
Hi Cori, new subscriber here. I just love this idea! I know you have three versions but I am looking for the one that puts to use the Holtz French Industrial mixed with his Wildflowers. I bought the two paper packs just for this. Now I can’t find it again. I have Covid and am stuck to the bedroom until it passes so I have lots of time. It was a flip through of the book with the green binding on the back. I’m not so interested in what dodads are on the page as the base pages to start. It’s the book with the Efile tower. Keep them coming, Cori! With the heat and bond, have you tried turning the piece over and ironing from the fabric side? Ironing over the yardstick may not allow enough heat to penetrate to the glue in order to bond correctly.
I also use alliteration for my organization 😂 The Teal binder has the Tiny things, the Pink one has Pocket organizers, the Blue one is for Big pieces of paper, and then coral was leftover and um… well that ended up being for something totally not C related 😂

At first when getting my pages together I didn't realize you put two pages in each signature, so I made more but find when I try to add one page to each one, the thickness of the muslin makes the inside page wider, so I will have to cut the excess off?? You did not mention it so did yours not do that?

Does it make for a more flexible page doing it your way, for instance? Also does it make the pages stronger at the join? As you can tell, still learning!
Hi Angela! I used this hinge system fir a few reasons. Yes, absolutely you could cut at 12” x 6”, then fold and sew. My goal was for frayed, sturdy bases as I knew I’d be adding considerable bulk to each page. I found that the join is notably more substantial and durable when I use fabric versus paper. It’s a bit different look and feel, and I knew I’d be opening the pages frequently.
Always a thoughtful teaching ❤️
