    It would be so much fun if you could put together some mini routines for us to follow. It would help develop flow. You are a great teacher and your music choices are fantastic.

    Thanks a lot for the video. The identification of pivoting legs for each step is very helpful to me, and you are the only instructor that goes into such details 👍

    Love that you actually teach. In another video you really broke down weight changes and placement. Would be helpful here too. Seems like you were sort of doing a rear ball change to to reverse direction but the weight change wasn't obvious to me.

    • @Marbiik
      @Marbiik  3 місяці тому

      Thank you! The weight placement in the Charleston is even when both feet are on the ground and you switch it to the standing foot, to the front one when moving forward and to the back one when moving backwards. When you chain several steps in the same direction the weight is moving all the time to that direction too since the steps don't stop going, very similar to walking either forward or backwards. For this specific step I also recommend handling your weight with the ball of your feet since it's optimal for constant weight changing like it happens in the Charleston. Hope that helps :)

      I guess what you’re looking for are routines or sequences to practice and follow along. In long-form tutorials I focus more on breaking down the step so new Shufflers can fully understand the step and avoid bad practices that then they will have to unlearn. If you look for a tutorial to just mimic the teacher this is not my style of teaching, I don’t like to teach superficially. You can learn the ins and outs of the Charleston here and I will write down the idea of posting routines to follow along as practices videos. Thanks for your comment and I will work on having these kind of videos soon on the channel. I hope you understand :)
