A day late from my Friday upload schedule, but here it is - SAO ED “Shirushi” (Extended Version).
You know, I have to be honest: SAO isn’t really my favorite anime of all time, but by god the music is just amazing. LiSA is amazing. I want to have the song speak for itself, so I have included the English lyrics (thanks for the translation by Thaerin), and I wont say anymore.
The case of my piano here is not present, because I was fixing the A-key. I put industrial grade epoxy glue on it to try to fix it, but due to the forces of the piano playing, it didn’t work. I’m trying more ways of fixing that A-key though.
For next Friday’s upload… well let’s just say I wont be putting on a mask and lying about it.

this sao ending makes me feel so emotional especially finding out about their guild members..
I feel like SAO made a legit come back with the SAO arc. It's honestly the only arc that focuses on something truly important after they escaped the game :P
The arc is called Mother's Rosario, and it definitely is a beautiful yet depressing arc.
I hear it gets better from now on (Alicization Arc)!
YTLyricsMaker Yep the Alicization Arc is in my opinion the currently best arc of the whole SAO.
Alicization Arc is the best. I have read all its volumes except for 15 which isnt fully translated.
Vic Alvaran mind if I ask when does it really kick off I remember reading the light novels but when I ended mother Rosario I remember reading about two guys chopping trees and I wasn't too interested and haven't picked it back up yet

Yuuki Konno is my favorite character in any anime I have watched due to those reasons.

+Tiffany Nguyen she was introduced to die, that's the sad part. I'd rather it be someone we met earlier such as Lisbeth. All jokes aside, Yuuki stayed strong all the while.

I do like how they're focusing on Asuna now. I'll be honest that after GGO it was kind of downhill entertainment wise but this looks more promising. Asuna is and will be my favorite female protagonist of SAO. Absolutely love this ED and I agree that LiSA does do the ED 2 justice. Simply amazing. Good job ishter!!

I agree. It's just my opinion, but I didn't like GGO at all. It had it's moments, but it was just a disappointment to me. Which is why I was so excited that they were bringing back Asuna! She is my favorite too. Always will be. :)
***** Stop watching it for now so you can marathon it.. they say Mother's Rosario arc is the best arc in SAO and will have feels.. so for that i think marathoning it would be best
crossdaisuke Yeah, the Mother's Rosario arc definitely focuses more on the feels and won't focus on the action as much as the earlier arcs. There's still a few good fights, but they won't (shouldn't) be the main point.
***** hey, none of us went bashing on Sinon, so why are you bashing on Asuna? But whatever, that's your personal opinion. Asuna will always be the better character to a lot of us....
Yuuki was my favorite character by far in the second season. It's so sad and heartbreaking by how she died in the anime, and every time i hear this song I get so damn emotional about her. R.i.p Yuuki!!!

I've played this only when I had to say goodbye to something precious in life.
Today, it was the family dog. She was so tired from cancer...but, I'm glad for the love she gave us for 14 years.
I can't tell if I'm just really tired or if it's the whole new youtube 60fps thing in place, but your hands seemed to be moving faster than ever xD Might just be all the emotion in this one taking you to new heights, that ending gave me goosebumps!

I had just watched a Japanese movie. It's called "My girlfriend is a cyborg". I would recommend it as it's so gooddd :) The ending was touching. Then watching this cover with the lyrics on screen.. it kinda makes this song relate to that movie too.. :') Really great cover :)

A guy who have a cyborg for a girlfriend. The cyborg came from the future. Their adventure then begins.

Whenever I listen to this song I remember a really special person to me I lost very few months ago and I always cry. I'm not sure why I connected it to her. Maybe because it was a beautiful sad song I listened to when I was in much pain. My heart fell into the beauty of the light that surrounds the pain of the story it tells and how it relates to sword art online-1 ands word are online-2, rather than the dark deep sadness created by the deep lyrics and notes.

What a weird feeling. You have made the two exact opposite feelings be born within me: On the one hand, I have this incredible urge to learn how to play the piano and create such wonderful sounds. On the other hand, I'm incredibly disheartened seeing how unrealistically your hands glide through the keys and thinking how incredibly difficult it has to be to get to that place. Amazing.

I thought nothing can touch 'Yume Sekai', but this song tho... Ishters playing helps too. My ears are at peace.

To be honest, I love sao so much cause pretty much every episode makes me bawl like a baby. Especially this past epi. Good and sad make me cry. I don't know why, but this is the first anime I've watched that truly affects me and it has so much heart

I actually haven't been able to keep up with SAO II unfortunately but the last episode I watched was the end of the Calibur arc. But hearing Ishter's rendition of the new ED tells me that maybe the new arc is probably somewhat good this time. I can literally feel the emotion through these headphones. IDK, for some reason this cover really spoke to me ;_; Good job ishter! I'm going to try to catch up with SAO and maybe one day play as great as you!

For some reason, I feel as if the piano version affects me more than the music video. Even when the rhymn increased, I didn't lose that feeling of quietness and felt the energy of excitement at the same time. A very good job again ^o^

This in my opinion is the best piano cover for "Shirushi" by LiSA. It has such a beautiful flow to the music. I simply love it. I personally think that this is the best song ending for the Sword Art Online Series itself. Well done song with an emotional feel to it. With your piano covers it does the same as it should in the song. Keep up the great work. Im looking forward to the next cover. :)

(Surprisingly enough I have never visited your website, and I'm glad I did. It's cool to know more and more about you and how you started. I always thought you WERE in a music school and that you DO practice scales/finger exercises. You are so quick at hitting notes that there are so many notes that go unnoticed until you look at the music sheet... Impressive. It amazes me that pianists such as you and Animenz are able to transcribe these songs. Hopefully one day I could do the same.)
