  • Sword Art Online Soundtrack - "In Your Past" / "A Tender Feeling"
Hey guys! This will be my last emotional throwback upload - after this, it's time to play some current anime music! I haven't been keep track of too much anime lately, but the ones I've been watching I will do arrangements~
Now for this upload, I've selected two most memorable soundtracks from Sword Art Online (aside from Swordland of course), and it includes the music that are always played in emotional scenes. I'm not too much of a fan of SAO, but you have to admit the music is top notch :3
I hope this brings back some memories from SAO fans. Next couple of weeks will finally be back to regular programming!!
See you guys next time :D

I accept that SAO has some problems, but for me it has a very special meaning as it was my first ever anime and I still love it. (However, I think everyone can agree that the music is phenomenal.)

Eric Heiner I always say this and it helps me to realize what happens with SAO, the thing is, that as an anime it has a lot of flaws, but you have to separate the anime from the story, the story is phenomenal, I don't lie when I say it has changed my life, I'm actually studying to make SAO, to make a virtual world possible, because I think a medieval MMORPG world is far less toxic than the actual one. I love SAO, but the anime was made horribly, they did it extremely fast so you didn't get to feel what it was expected from you as a viewer, I enjoyed it though, but because I've read the novels and I think about the novels while I see the art work from the anime which is soo good. Well that's my opinion

SAO was my gateway into the anime world. Nowadays I look back at it and I can easily see the plot holes and mistakes and everything bad about it. But I get a feeling every time I hear a song from its OST. And then I remember that, no matter how bad it is now that I look back at it and re-watch it, I will always be thankful to the creators and everyone else involved for the happiness they have given me and the invitation into a world with endless entertainment.

acutally SAO is also my first anime, however i later found kirito is overpowered and too much harem but it still a great experience for me to witness such an amazing music from a famous anime, and this song remind me alot about the anime especially zekken from mother rosario arc where kirito actually not the main character for the story arc, and this also made me felt satisfied after the ordinal scale movie and kind of sad at the same time. still waiting for the season 3 and all.

OMG the goosebumps right from the beginning. The feelings are strong. Altough SAO isn't that great of an anime, objetively considered, it will always have that special place in my heart. Back then, a lot went wrong in my life, especially the break up with my first girlfriend. we had been together for 4 years and it hit me harder than i thought. Well, it was then when I really got into anime after watching shonen like one piece, dbz and naruto for years. SAO was the first one to start my journey. Watching it, I felt every emotion known to mankind. I cried when there was nothing to cry for, I just felt that powerful feeling with everything. Never have I ever experienced so many and intense emotions watching an anime before. wuh, and that last scene of the 2nd season ...
I just want to thank you for this beautiful arrangement, as its my favourite OST aswell. It brings all the memories back and unleashes a strange, peaceful and happy feeling.

I'm not a bandwagon or smth, i just started watching anime this 2020. All of my friends were watching anime so I tried it. My boyfriend recommend their "childhood secret anime" which is SAO. We watched it together (via video call) and told me this anime has a very huge impact in him, it inspires him to be in love he said. The mother's rosario arc has a huge impact for me too. I'm a suicidal person, and while watching yuuki's story, savouring her last moments, fighting for her life, it never fails to make me cry. It's like it teaches me that i'm lucky i'm alive and i have all the things I wanted, so enjoy living. There's so many lessons that we can laern in this anime, That's why I wonder why so many people hate it.

These two pieces always touched my soul to a point to where I reflect on my own past, and it feels like I can relive certain events of my life the feeling, the smells, and the warmth. I can even recall a lost love that I had wished never ended, but when these songs play it feels like all of that is alive again. It's like I can see her standing there at the corner of the field waiting for me so we can walk home together again hand in hand, and when these songs end I realize how long it has been since we've seen each other. In my mind it was just nice to see her smile again even if it was a just memory of when we were together.
Look at me rambling anyway thank you for these two wonderful pieces of music they truly are beautifully done pieces.

i was in my 4th year highschool when sao came out and its my first introduction into anime and being an otaku. i courted my childhood friend back then and we watched the season 1 she became my girlfriend onto the episode when kirito and asuna married in the SAO world i remember it i said to her i wish i have my own asuna i was surprised she kissed me and so on and so fort dats the day we both lost our virginity haha time pass and we both got in college when season 2 came out our relationship is not working well but we both watched it its the only day we get to meet everyweek since college we became so busy that once every week we get to see each other at my house watching SAO every wednesday. sadly we broke up before the movie came out. i go to the cinema alone haha so sad i always remember her when tender feeling plays. i was crying in cinema my seatmate face is so fukin funny she was like why the fuk he is cryig?? wellp thanks for it she became my second girlfriend. (when the movie ended) she was also watching SAO alone and i ask her to a dinner because i was crying like a baby and annoyed her the whole time in the cinema as way of apologizing i ask her out. surprisingly she said yes haha dunno but SAO made a big part in my Love life. still best highschool days of my life.

I know how u feel Ive that too with some ost from your in april because I was really depressed a year ago, and i used to play alot of piano but i felt bad on it because i thought music was just an excuse to run away from something so i played less and less, then there was a girl a knew from of friend of mine, after a few days i started to like her, whenever i was looking down she noticed that and somehow knew how I felt. I talked alot with her, and without even noticing I started making music again. a few days later she told me she would move away, i never saw her again after and still a year later im thankfull for her

Definitely the first anime I was hooked on. I think it was my first actual anime. Now after watching hundreds of anime, I remain grateful for SAO being that gateway. People say it was shit, but at the end of the day anime is there for enjoyment and entertainment. I enjoyed watching it. Now I barley watch anime(because I've developed "every anime is shit syndrome), so I decided to pick up manga and light novel instead. Reading the Alcization arc makes me excited for October!!!

As flawed as the anime may be, much the same as many others it was my first foray into the medium.
I remember "A Tender Feeling" specifically resonated with me alongside its accompanying mountain cabin scene. By some semblance of sheer dumb luck and coincidence, the mountain range and cabin placement in the show happened to nearly perfectly match the appearance of the location where my late uncle (Mom's eldest brother, who passed away from stage IV colon cancer about a decade and a half ago now) had his wedding ceremony. Same lake shoreline. Same mountain backdrop across an expansive, azure blue lake. Quite frankly, I'm not usually one to weep about such things, but the sentimentality of such a familiar-looking setting, paired with the melancholic albeit nostalgic music, honestly broke me for a few minutes watching it.
