  • So begins the restoration of an abandoned 1990 Yamaha "Virago" XV1100 I bought for $200! I don't even know if it runs or not, it came without a key and the rear wheel is locked up. Let's see where this takes us and what I can do!!

    Top for future rebuilds with motorcycles, bring two skateboards. If it’s seized then put the tires on the skateboards so easy to roll

    I have a 1982 Virago 750, and the thing sounds absolutely mean with straight pipes that I made for it. I bet this thing would growl even better. Viragos are just great bikes.

    My dad gave me a 1985 Virago 1000 and it's got some TLC issues so I'm looking forward to see how to tackle this beast!!

    Exactly what I paid for my 2013 vulcan 800. He did the transmission upgrade already. He just didn't have the time to put the rear tire back on after the change. He couldnt keep it running. After removing all the emissions crap and the stock air ox and filter and just adding a knl 4 inch air filter site fired up instantly and still fires the second I hit the ignition. No choke needed. I've customized it a lil but now winter is here it's time to tear down completely and design and build all new frame and everything

    exact same year and bike i have, i bobbed mine pretty fun bike just be cautious to buying new oem parts some of them are ridiculous in price

      @@TheInja i recent had to pay almost $400 just for oem coils because i was in a hurry and aftermarket ones were on back order, just little stuff like that adds up fasy

      $200 obviously isn't much, but at the time it went a long ways. And you wouldn't want to pay $200, drive 3 hours, and get stuck with a stolen, unregisterable bike
