Count myself so lucky to have been watching you guys since I was a kid, and amazed that you haven't lost your humour and style, just gotten more and more polished.
5:35 okay that was done extremely well that could seriously work in a film to disturb the audience Edit: I just want to tank you guys for this I mean this are some seriously impressive effects thank you so much
Yo thank you guys so much. I'm doing film studies in school rn and I've been really stuck on how to grt good looking blood effects, but this is really going to help me. Thank you again!!
Love Bloodtober. Fun to see it come back after a few years. I used a similar effect to the Tarantino blood spray in a short film, but used little bike tire refill C02 cannisters that the actor could self trigger instead of an air compressor. It worked really well, except at the time the camera I had couldn't shoot high frame rates so it's not nearly as epic. But still pretty fun. I'd love to try more effects like these soon. Just finished up several short films so it'll be a bit before I can try em.
Sometimes I'll be watching one of your videos and suddenly feel oddly emotional (super weird to cry during this insanely violent and hilarious episode) Been part of your gang since high school, now at 27, I'm (finally) fully committed to that "write.shoot.edit.repeat" life. Cannot thank you enough ❤
Film Riot has been my fav show since 2013. I have learnt a lot from you guys and the bloodtober episodes are THE BEST!!!!! Keep going guys!!! Love you Ryan ❤️❤️❤️

5:32 The last thing Jason Todd heard before waking up in the Lazarus Pit.
This is great, this definitely helps out with filmmakers who love to work in the horror genre.

YOU KILLED EMILY!!! Ryan you don’t kill the bad a$$ of the show. 🤣At least she went out in a Tarantino way.
She didn't die! She took it through the throat like a champ. Just another two holes to breathe from!
That shot glass technique is seriously brilliant, I had never thought of something that simple and it looks great.

Man you guys never cease to make my stomach hurt from laughing! That *first* death alone made me have to pause the video 😂
Thank you. I will make something super soon. 👍
Air compressor for the real cheap skates. Use a tire air compressor and fill up a 2 liter coke bottle. Attach quick release valve to your FX hose.
looking to become a horror director, this is all very helpful!
Love this! I’m in process of making a very bloody horror movie and this just helped me get ways to do some my kill scenes! Thanks guys!
Awesome!!!

The call for safety rings truer today with the news about Alec Baldwin and that production team. Thanks for really stressing safety, Film Riot!
Great point. So sad about Alec and the Camera woman
@@dallasdandigitalproduction393 Her name was Halyna Hutchins.
