I'm a 2016 Computer science engineering pass out, had backlog up and until now. So far I have worked as receptionist, BPO associate, marketing and a two wheeler mechanic. I'm 26 now, I have no related work experience and aspiring to work in IT now. Am I doomed for life? I thought clearing the backlogs might help, but is it just too late to make a difference? AFAIK, I was good at computer in school (98% Java was my favorite subject) but sucked at math (40% just pass) and in college I failed at all math papers. (never kept backlogs in other subjects) yet it took ne five years to clear math papers. How can I get into IT now?
You can learn skills like programming and frameworks related to that programming language...
There is still good amount of demand for java developers... So, if you still like java... You can surely brush up on that... And maybe do some end to end projects...
Maybe develop a CRUD application and host it so that you can show the employers your work easily...
This will give you some chance to get into IT...
Dont buy any costly courses... Bcoz they will promise everything at first... But then at the end if you dont get placed... They will only blame you...
You can take course from Udemy... They cost around 500... And you will learn enough to get started in IT...
Its never late if you are willing to put in efforts... Efforts never go waste...

Iam going to jion this course and iam taking loan for this and emi start after 6 months and the course duration is 5 months and iam from farmer lower middle-class family. Iam sure I will put my 100% in this course. But the problem is the emi amount is 15,000.after the course complete they provide well paid job uh?and I have that fear that I can make it or not. If you want to make a career in business analysis... Then probably this course is not for you... This course is too technical... It is well suited for ppl who want to become a data analyst or data scientist...

I was a student in great lakes for data science and engineering. Please don't join that institute for placements. Its really not worth . The faculties are good enough but when it comes to placements it's really bad .The 5 months course for 3.5 lakhs u pay atlast makes you in a big tension of not getting job after paying soo much . People in great lakes usually get jobs through referals and begging through linked in fir referels .

If you are getting job in IT go for it... And in parallel you can take some course... It need not be diploma... Any good certificate course will also be able to equip you with skills that are needed to be a data scientist...

Great lakes is the worst highly priced,no doubt solving, no better teaching they even didn't tought maths behind ML algorithms, also they don't teach python properly,all class are pre recorded only one live class in week which is of 2 hr

As you have some exp. You can show some part of your exp in relevant domain... Which will help you get opportunities in analytics domain... And keeping this in mind, you can opt for GL but even then it seems costlier to me.
There are several other certificate courses/diploma courses which you may consider based on your preferences... Buy if you specifically want to do pg diploma... GL is good in terms of course content and teaching...
I got an offer letter for University of strathcylde,Scotland master in advance computer science with big data which cost upto 25lakhs.Compare to GL and scotland uni ,which should I opt for??
If i had to make the decision... I would have opted for masters as it is more valuable than PG Diploma by GL...
So, if your have financial backing and go for masters... That would be a better option... That said... Please make your wise decision based on your preferences and situation...

Sir great learning is providing course on backend and full stack development and they are saying that the teachers are from IIT rurkee and they will also provide the advance certificate at the end and 10+ live projects. They also saying companies drive in every 3 months and have tie-up with 500+ companies

How's the simplilearn pg data science course with Purdue University certificate and IBM? Is it worth?
Course content is good... And if you want to know about teaching, you can check their youtube channel... Maybe there you will lecture videos which might give you some idea... And about certificate... it is a very reputed university... so, it will have value... But i would suggest such diploma courses to people with considerable amount of experience... Atleast 3-4 years of exp.

If you dont mind spending that much money to join the course... Yes you can... They have good course content, and the teaching is also good... However, getting a job will be totally your effort... And this is not just GL... This holds true for any course... If you want to join GL bcoz of its reputation in the market and thinking that you will surely get the job... Then dont join it... But if you want to learn and make a good portfolio... Then you can...

I would vote for AAIC... But that doesnt mean you should go for AAIC... I liked the teaching very much at AAIC... So, i would suggest go to youtube channel of both the course... And see their videos... You will find some lecture videos... From that you will get some idea which one you like...

I would suggest... Try to learn from open source material or take IBM or Google professional course on coursera if you feel like you need some paid course...

I dont have much info on this below 50% criteria... But there are many universities offering msc/m.tech in data science in india... Try to go to their course page and see the elegibility criteria...

I would put upgrad and GL in 1st place and simplilearn close 2nd...
Simplilearn probably is the cheapest one...
Upgrad has colab with IIITB which will help you have exposure to faculties from IIITB...

So, what i would suggest is... Try to go to youtube channel of each of 3 and see which one has better teaching as your understanding... And then which ever is in your budget you can go for that...

If you already have good understanding of programming... You can choose any course from coursera or there are many other platforms like edx... But if you are new to programming... I would suggest learn python from youtube... Or take data analytics course from udemy... It will cost around 500 inr... And start learning from that... This will give you a good foundation to start with...

Udemy, edx, coursera can be a good start...
On udemy you can get courses for under 500 inr... On edx, coursera, you can join courses for free but if you need certification then you will have to pay...

Course content and teaching is fine... Theres no problem in that... But the promises that they make... That you will definitely get placed... That is not 100% true... Yes, if you learn concepts properly... And do good projects... And make better portfolio... You will get a job... But you can do that even by taking some cheaper courses... So, for people with less than 5 years of exp... I dont see any benefits in taking such costly course...

Online mtech is not worth it in terms of its value in the market... You will definitely learn a lot... But in case you decide to go for phd... Probably most universities will not consider it... And also, companies prefer ppl with fulltime degree than an online one... So, spending 5L inr and degree not having much value... Its not worth the money...
Its just my opinion... Make your wise decision based on your situation and future goals...

Never go for this course. Believe me I completed pgp course in data science, but it was total wastage of money. Companies do not value their certificate. If you apply in great learning also for jobs, they do not select your profile for interview. Course content is old. Overall total wastage of money.
If you are interested in learning purpose and you are rich, then you can go for it but do not expect placement from this course

If you want to do pg diploma... GL is the only option among these 3...
And if you want to certificate course... Both simplilearn and ims proschool are almost sufficient enough to get into business analytics... But looking at the number of tools being covered... Simplilearn seems to be better...
I dont have much knowledge about placement aspects of simplilearn and ims proschool... So can not comment on that...

It is a very expensive course... And there are mix type of opinion from people... So, i personally feel it hard to recommend this course to majority of the people... But that said... Their course content is actually good... And problem comes only when start looking for jobs... And getting interview calls and being able to crack the interview it mostly depends on the candidate... So you can not completely blame the institute... But still after spending so much if you are not able to get the job... Then for me it get tough to suggest the course... If budget is not a problem you can surely give it a try...
Other recommendation... You can also look into Applied roots + UoH diploma in data science machine learning... It is significantly less expensive and you get similar amount of knowledge...

Yes, they have... And now a days... Your portfolio is much more important than a certificate... But yes, they are offering diploma so it will have importance... Maybe not as much as post grad diploma but some importance yes...

If you are very new to data science then i would suggest starting with free materials available on the internet. You can download data science notes from the description that i have prepared or you can find a lot of playlists on UA-cam from various youtube channels...
But if you really want to learn from paid courses in that case you can either start with Udemy courses or look into iNeuron courses, they are relatively affordable...
What about springboard...they also provide 100% placement

IBM data science course covers everything... They have multiple courses bundled in one... Each course covers some aspects of the data science that might help you... Or you can take some course on udemy... So that you get a overview of as to what is important and how to approach certain problems...

Course content and study material of GL is actually good... So, to gain knowledge it can be a good option...
About placement... That is very individual dependent... Some ppl make good use of it and say its good and some ppl cant... So, they say its bad... So, i can not really comment on that aspect...
