Couldn't Mae have just taken Indara's lightsaber back in episode 1 if she wanted/needed one?
She had to take the lightsaber from a jedi who attacked her while she was unarmed.
I think that kaimir is actually The apprentice And i think we're going to get to see darth plagus Because there's nothing saying that Darth plagas couldn't of Had A printist before Senator Palpatine
Mae ,and OSHA swapping places isn't a surprise, and I'm curious to see how it'll play out.
Im thinking Mae might use some of her Night Sister powers to mess up Sol's mind and others who know the Sith are out there in order to keep them hidden from the Jedi's
It could be that Qimir isn’t the master but himself, an apprentice seeking an acolyte to usurp his own master to continue the rule of two
That was my conclusion too
And that master is going to be one of three options: Mother Koril, Darth Plagueis, or Darth Tenebrous. At this point I don't know which I would want or if I want any of them.
Correct. The big reveal will most likely be Qimir's master. There's an interesting quote from Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi in an earlier episode where he finds it hard to believe that a student would not know who their master was. Perhaps even Qimir doesn't know his master's true identity.
That makes the most sense. He has a master who is going to come for him
I think this is what most people are thinking at this point. What Qimir is up to absolutely has to have everything to do with what happened on Brandok, and given that everyone there was a dark side force wielding witch who hated or mistrusted the Jedi, it's only logical to suspect that the true "force" behind all this was from there and is only using Qimir to carry out their secret plot of revenge and who knows what else. I also suspect that it's somehow related to the plot of Ahsoka in terms of their being dark side force wielders who are Sith-like but not necessarily actually Sith, and that it all has to do with the overall balance of the force.
I have a feeling that he isn't the Sith Master, that he is just the Sith Apprentice. That the master is still out there somewhere.
Yeah from what I read the acolyte is the Apprentice's Apprentice
@@clintn6677 agreed. Qimir is just the apprentice to his own master.
The Master is the Zabrak witch "mum" who didn't die. It's obvious.
Darth Tenebraus????
@@CDB79-xs8rk that's what I've been thinking 🤔
what if Sol kills Qimir at the end of series, and he himself turns into sith? that way no jedi learns about sith.
yeah i think Sol is a Sith Lord, he seems cooking something, he got a lot of things in his hands already.
That will happen I think
Lots of anger in his fighting style vs Qimir. Never seemed to really be under threat too. And the "I was only 4" comment. He could even already be the master, and Qimir is looking for an apprentice to overthrow his master. Feels like a few too many twists though imo, and I'm not sure the anger was completely intentional
@@stevennorman3900 and Qimir seems only want was to study dark side, he doesn't have any ideals like a sith lord has, as he stated he just want to be Free and study the Dark side and have a padawan, he doesn't have much more of ideals like most sith lord do.
love that idea!
Rip Daphne Keene’s character🥺
RIP
You put some respect on Jecki's name!
@@moviemaniacdjpno because she is not canon. Neither is the acolyte
Just played by a good actress
Either they retcon the first trilogy or they'll have to kill EVERYONE
@@FlipFlopGod *canon
And who gives a crap about canon anymore? It's entertainment, not religion. Just look at "Star Wars Visions" and "The 9th Jedi" - there is a very real appetite for new Wars, how ever non-canonical it is.
I don't care for the High Republic Era myself, but as long as it is entertaining, I could care less about how canonical it is. I just want more Wars.
He didn’t claim to be a sith. He specifically says that the Jedi might call someone like him sith. I think that’s a huge distinction. Especially when the show is obviously critical of the Jedi it makes sense that he would suggest THEY might call him that, even if he doesn’t actually claim to be
Yeah, I think that’s going to be significant
Exactly. And all the jedi at the temple have seen so far is footage of Mae using force Kung fu. No red lightsaber. They've just seen some sort of force-trained assassin.
Man... people trying to justify bad writting makes me sad...
@@josejuanandrade4439 sick opinion bro. Care to add anything meaningful to the discussion? Or just here to say “bad?” lmao talk about sad.
@@concernedpigeon3219 Well if u want me to elaborate... Defending this shit, on the basis that the writers may be trying to pull a smart twist, is like when people were saying that the obvious twist that He was gonna be the Sith was too obvious because they wanted you to think he was, but then he wasn't gonna be... No dude, is just bad writting, he IS a Sith and the writters just phrased it poorly because they can't even remember things they wrote 2 episodes ago...
Also the show is not critical of the Jedi... they literaly changing canon to make the Jedi look bad... They literaly refused to take Anakin because he was too "old" for their standards, because their training should start from the early years... meanwhile, in this insult of a show, they come to take the girls that are older then Anakin was? Tipical Disney shit writting... trying to make the villain the hero and the heroes the villains.. because they know they are the villains themselves (the writters) If this is too hard for you to understand, let me put it like this: If the Joker himself made a movie, he'd make Batman the bad guy, he would be the victim, and his excuse would be that,. while the joker killed thousands of innocent victims, Batman was so mean to him, and never asked about his feelings.... so that makes him right and Batman the bad guy...
Never have I gasp in one episode did not think they were going to kill yord and jecki
I imagined because of Jecki’s comment about “Yord being… Yord” they’d have a moment fighting together before dying. But I guess you can’t choose when you die.
You gasped, I cheered!
@@richardbetts816lol ehy
Same, I thought their deaths were pretty hardcore. Rip.
Yeah who cares that they died? They never built up the characters at all
This is how I thought the light saber fights were gonna be in the sequel trilogies
Instead, we got them swinging like they had a baseball bat.
For real
@@bradmiles1984 fights looked like they hurt
i think that Jecki was the best fighter in this episode she was holding her own for a while against Qimir until he pulled out his shoto on her which is kinda crazy bc the Jedi masters all died to him except for Sol and even he had trouble against Qimir. And also when Jecki pulled the two lightsabers out on him i was so impressed with her. We gotta praise Dafne Keen fr
It’s bad writing. Jecki was still a Padawan and shouldn’t have been as powerful as Jedi masters
Facts, I can't believe this writing is being defended by select CCs. Star Wars Theory and people who aren't SW fans but writers themselves have said this show is horribly written, regular non fans say it's horrible writing . The fight scenes weren't even that good except Sol and Jakis but she's a Padewan so that didn't make sense. I'll praise Keen but in the story it makes no sense.
Whilst only a Padawan , she has the power of being a girl boss... typical crap writing .. as most of DSW is these days.. so bored of it all after yet another awful show.. congrats on keeping up with such "quality" shows
Yeah, I too was impressed with her bravery and the fight she put up using all those amazing skills that the script gave her, turning the young Padawan into an ultimate girl-boss....😂
@@megan7792These aren't really true Jedi Masters. Even Charlie says as much.
They're the vanguard basically, the cannon fodder Jedi. Only Sol is strong enough, and he's older so not as agile.
Nothing wrong with Jecki being exceptional. Her strength isn't out of the blue, she's been a model student the whole time, and comes across as a prodige.
Shame her own master didn't get more of a fight though, did make it feel a bit unbalanced.
I was expecting Jecki to survive the entire series and give her an Ahsoka arc starts to doubt Jedi actions or something
I do like the idea of her going out on her sword, and dying as a noble and skilled padawan, who was devoted to the teachings of the Jedi.
i feel like that may happen with may or osha. i think one of them is going to become a wayseeker
Me too.
@@poohjanabsolutely agree. Although I thought she'd go the Ashoka way.
ew no! she suxs
That triple stab kill was actually pretty sick!
Qimir is built different bro. 8 Jedi went against him and Sol barely survived in the end. That’s gotta be cortosis weaved into his helmet.
Rest in peace, Jecki. She was growing on me.
With Osha in Qimir’s clutches, he’ll probably tell her what happened to her family and that could put her on the path of being his Acolyte.
Not really tbh 😂 he killed a few Jedi and survived a 1 v 4 but then lost to sol
He isn’t very powerful for a Sith
Barely survived? Sol laid him out on his ass >_>
cortosis?
That only happened when Sol started fighting very un-Jedi like aggressive. There is something going on there that will be revealed later I’m sure
I’m all on the Qimir train! He was brutal and I loved it! RIP to Jecki aka “It” she was taking the fight to him! Best episode so far by a mile
I think it was pretty obvious who it was the whole time.
It 😂😂
Compared to Kylo Ren he is bad ass
The thing that makes no sense is why could the padawan put up a better fight then all the knights and masters with her.
@@bradmiles1984 obi wan was a Padawan when he took out maul who had just taken out qui qon who was obi wans master
Sol v qumir hand to hand combat was awesome to see both actors radiate such power all the saber battle were great too, just glad to see a mixture of element ,and styles in this highly anticipated episode.
Dont know if anyone else noticed. But at the start of the episode when all the jedi ignite their sabers, they do a close up on Sols face. The right side was blue and the left side was red, i think, foreshadowing the light/dark conflict in Sol.
Qimir would have been about 18 when Mae and Osha were 8. Why would an 18-year-old man have been hiding somewhere on Brendoc, a planet of all-female witches? Unless Mother Koril (whose body was not among the dead witches in episode 3) is Qimir's Sith Master.
Maybe the witch didn’t get pregnant by the force. He’s their father.
@@DKyle327 I really hope that isn't the case. That would just turn this all into an episode of Maury.
That’s a really good question but if he wasn’t there, how would he really know what happened the night of the fire or even care. What we do know is that he has a strange obsession with not wanting the Jedi to mind control him. Is it possible that Sol mind controlled Mae to start the fire? Could this “rule” against training children outside of the Jedi ways, that led to pointless death and hypocrisy be the root of Qimir’s distain for rules? Why is Sol supposed to recognize him? Could their connection actually go back to Sol’s childhood? Also, important clue regarding how the twins were conceived…it must tie everything else together.
It’s possible that he was taken by his Sith Master at a young age, by 18 maybe he had already begun his search for an apprentice and the Force led him to that planet? He might have been watching the children in secret planning to take one of them when the whole Jedi fire event happened, at which point he would have saved Mae from the fall she took.
I'm thinking he was there with his master and he saw the opportunity to have his own acolyte that day
This is how palpatines arrest scene should have been regarding his fight with Mace and the other Jedi
Nah mace was actually like that lol.
what? palpatine was way too insanely strong for that
Have you seen the deleted footage of the original fight sequence? It was pretty brutal until George decided Ian was to do the fight scene himself and they really cut down on the fight choreograph to accommodate Ian without the use of a double
Palpatine was literally the most powerful Sith, having inherited the power of every Sith before him. Sith power is concentrated, while Jedi power is shared. That's the whole idea behind the Rule of Two, concentrating the Dark Side into never any more than two Sith. As the Jedi grow their individual power diminishes, while the Sith are always at their peak. Considering Palpatine had lost his apprentices, he was at the height of his power. Random nameless Jedi were like paper dolls against a tiger.
Qimir is more evenly matched with Sol, which leads me to believe he is not the true Sith Master.
@@gloriouslumi the idea of the rule of two is that there’s always a master and an apprentice to pass on the sith teachings and secrets. It was made by Darth Bane simply to prevent the sith from always killing each other for power. But by nature that would make the sith weaker each time because an over eager apprentice is always looming to kill his master when he deems himself ready or when he gets an easy chance to do so. By nature the master would always want to keep some of his knowledge secret to keep his apprentice at bay while the apprentice by nature would think he’s ready and kill the master. Losing the knowledge the master withheld with his death. Prime example is Sidious himself. He admits he killed his master when he was asleep (easy opportunity) and admits the secrets to immortality and to create life were secrets only plagues knew and took to his grave.
I think Sol or other Jedi master altered the memory of Osha to think May started the fire
oh snap good theory that perhaps the Jedi Masters that arrived to take Osha away did alter her memories, good theory
I think the whole "kill a Jedi without a weapon" is a bit on the nose and could be leading to a non-death situation for Sol that could also explain why he doesn't end up reporting what happened to the Jedi council. For example, Sol giving into the dark-side would technically be one way to "kill" a Jedi without a weapon. It would also draw parallels to how Vader says that he "killed" Anakin Skywalker.
Lastly, while the poison provided by Mae was the agent of death, it was ultimately guilt that killed Torbin. Who's to say Torbin couldn't or wouldn't have found other means to "absolve" himself. Thus potentially being another weapon-less killing. Some really effed up stuff must have went down the night of that fire!
RIP Yord. He made a great Jedi sentinel I thought. Perfect example of a temple guard aka Jedi police
That's why they killed him off so fast.
This 😢
Jedi Yord was a Jedi Guardian. Big Yawn.🥱
It should have happened in the first episode. That guy was possibly the lamest Jedi of all time. 😂
Yord fought and died like a true Jedi
Qimir is Darth Tenebrous's sith apprentice Darth Venamis retconned as a human. And with a retconned timeline, I assume qimir is an apprentice to Tenebrous and likely dies causing Tenebrous to discover Plaguius
Heavy Samurai influence here.
His main blade is a katana, two handed weapon.
It then splits into a wakizashi, shorter hilt one handed weapons and a tanto, dagger like weapon. 9:28
That's nothing new, jackass.
Thank you!
I *really* like Qimir's lightsaber design. The idea of a lightsaber having a "two-handed" or more versatile hilt a la longsword and then splitting into two lightsabers with smaller hilts because you don't need the length on the hilt is simple but so interesting.
Also re: Plaguies, Tenebrous and the timeline of the sith, I think it's fair to assume either Disney is overwriting it in some way or another, at least Tenebrous, OR that the Sith are still struggling to cement the two that will survive. Qimir might be looking for an "acolyte" to overthrow his current master, he might be looking for a strong apprentice to fight alongside him to defeat contending aspirants to be _the two_
I don't think Tenebrous is cannon?!
I think Qimir was supposed to be fairly easy to guess. I clocked him the first time I saw him and I'm an idiot when it comes to theses things. There are still two larger mysteries. Who is Qimir's master and what did Sol do?
Qimir is the Sith Master, he would have either killed the previous master or they have another way of explaining why he had no master.
@@emergencyawesome Or he is the apprentice looking to overthrow his master. It's common for Sith to do this. Look at Dooku who had apprentices while he was still an apprentice under Sidious. Usually a Sith apprentice will take their own apprentice before turning on their master. There is just as much evidence for him not being the master as there is for him being a master. You shouldn't be so set in your answer.
@@emergencyawesome My guess is that Mother [spikes on head] (can't remember her name) is the master. Explains who would have taught Qimir the mind control stuff. Qimir is looking for an apprentice before killing her and taking over as master.
Alternative thought is that Qimir isn't actually a Sith. He's was a padawan that left due to some problem with the Jedi. He's trying to emulate the Sith in a way without actually being in the line of Sith
@@LOFTarayn Qimir now: I am the Mandarin. Fear me. You'll never see me coming.
Qimir when he ends up meeting the real Sith: My name's Trevor. Trevor Slattery. I'm an Ackktorr
Qimir is Sols son
Qimir is the apprentice. He's training his own apprentice so he can kill his master and move up
In the end Qimir dies. At the end of the series we see the Sith master, Darth Plaugis,meeting/recruiting a young Palpatine
There would have to be a time skip. Palps isn’t born yet
How can he force push multiple Jedi Masters away but struggle with the Padawan? That's absurd and silly.
Plot Armour.@@deewatt
@@deewattIn Legends it says when Jedi use the Force to perform powerful telekinetic feats they become mentally exhausted for a time. That’s why we don’t see Force users spam force pushes like saiyans. Also, I think Qimir might be worn down from killing all those Jedi on his own.
Qimit can easily be plagueis though.
brutal and dark. we all figured it was qimir but man was he unhinged. well done episode. i’ve been liking this series actually and curious to see how it ends up. reserving my judgment until then.
Darth Zippermouth wrecked 'em all, then he was taken offscreen by a bunch of giant moths. 😂
😂
I wish Qimir were a Knight of Ren instead of a Sith. Not only does he look the part, but I feel at this point that making him a Sith actually makes people care less about him as a character, because everyone's gonna be more interested to see if Plagueis or some other Sith master shows up. The Rule of 2 results in a very strict Sith lineage that leaves very little narrative flexibility because you can't just invent a bunch of new characters like how the Jedi were 'wiped out' yet you can keep inventing new Jedi that just so happened to survive Order 66 (Kanan, Cal, etc....)
Besides, the whole plot trope of a Sith master guy training a young woman as a new apprentice... that's basically Drew Karpyshyn's Darth Bane trilogy of books and at this point I'm pretty sure there's no way Acolyte can beat that story.
They actually played Kylo Ren's theme song at the end of the episode...think you're onto something here friend
He isn’t a sith. He said such. And he is why too powerful to be a knight(they do something like those witches and link their power together) but he could be the ren(their equivalent to a master, the figurehead)
Now that’s how you take the training wheels off
I was starting to like Jecki this episode. She was very capable and impressive when she dueled Qimir. I honestly did not expect Jecki or Yord to die. Their deaths was surprising to see. Especially how brutally they died. Its the best episode so far.
this is what i wanted to see out of a show about the jedi. very much enjoyed this one. it was clever of mae to disguise herself as her sister. which goes to show you she isn't done with her revenge tour yet on the jedi.
Similar when Osha told Yord "We've got to go back" is when Princess Leia said the same thing to Lando when Luke was hanging from Cloud City.
Although Luke was Force contacting Leia, Osha was having a flashback/vision to Mae.
I don't think Qimir is a master. He's an apprentice and his acolyte (NOT apprentice) was going to be Mae. So, he does have a master.
He is the real acolyte
@bhavdeeprehal8827 Maybe. I still think he's someone's apprentice, but secretly training his own follower/acolyte. Like Dooku and Asajj then Vader and Starkiller. Qimir said he wanted to be free to practice The Force. He was clearly talking about the Jedi and their rules mostly, but I think he was training Mae to eventually help overthrow his master so he can be free from anyone. A very Sith thing to do.
@@TheVas76 I agree with you 100%. I just have an issue with how badly written this show is. The whole “I am what you call a Sith” and betraying Darth bane’s rule of two….its just…beyond a swing and a miss, it betrays the lore. They have some good cinematic shots at times and the lightsaber duel was great in ep 5. Everything else including the writing is so, so bad. That whole exchange between qimir and sol was a moment of disbelief how this quality found its way into a 180 million dollar production
Concur.
@@bhavdeeprehal8827it absolutely does not betray Darth Bane’s Rule of Two. Have you even read the Darth Bane novels? The apprentice is supposed to secretly find the new apprentice prior to challenging the Master, then if they die attempting to kill the Master, he/she takes the new apprentice as a replacement.
Sol could read his mind but couldn’t tell if Mae traded with Osha?
@@Weakeyedominant😂😂
Well, he is not trying to read the mind right now. He is tired, stressed out, worried and just lost 7 Jedi. So yeah, he is not in his normal state.
I think he knows. He asks “where is she?” When he wakes up and then looks at Mae suspiciously when she says “who?”. Then he says “your sister” instead of Mae.
Qimir kinda through his balance with the force accusing him of being two faced. Which probably is correct.
Mae and Osha are not exactly weak in the Force. Mae could have easily clouded her thoughts from Sol after a fight in which he was briefly unconscious. A human mind can only focus at best on three objects at a time.
Thanks for all the love and support guys and girls. It's not easy running an apothecary, slaying Jedi and giant flying beetles. It's hard to find a loyal apprentice these days huh. Got to go fix up my cortosis armour. - Lord Qimir

Qimir [unhinged, menacing]: “Welcome to the Bad Place”
“…the power of Manny [Jacinto]”
My theory is qumir will tell osha the truth, and then the sith master will turn out to be her mother these two elements combined might be enough to turn her to the dark side but, we shall see.
Nice theory!
One thing about Tenebrous, he had a habit of breaking the Rule of Two, creating not only Plagueis but also Venemis. So Qimir could be one of those "spares". Note that Qimir sounds a lot like Chimera, a monster of the Greek mythos.
From the moment Qimir opened his mouth in Episode 1 I suspected he would be the archetypal old fool that turns out to be the wizard. And then the moment the Sith lord "opened his mouth" I knew it was him underneath the modulation. George did base Alec Guiness' Obi-wan on the archetype, and fan theories abound around Jar-Jar possibly being the Sith Master before the panning of the character. Seems like a nod and a wink to both characters.
Everyone knew it was him from the Start. It's no twist. The real twist will be when we discover his master
The lightsaber choreography was amazing. I hope the show keeps this tone going forward
Wow, finally someone who doesn't listen to the sheep star wars haters
I still think the real sith trained Quimir
Me too. I hope his master isn't one of the witch mothers.
@@kdusel1991 it's probably Coral
Yeah I think Qimir is still the apprentice working towards becoming the master by finding his own apprentice. I think the master will be revealed at the end.
@@andrewa8a8 good take
@@andrewa8a8 Would make sense, what if he had to kill a jedi without using a weapon which is why he was pushing it so hard with Mae?
Just a little detail i picked up on... when qimir killed jeckiii he stabbed her in three distinct locations creating a triangle which i think is a connection to the witches since literally theyre were triangles all over the witch coven
Qimir's "hello!" was hilarious 😆
Qimir could technically be an apprentice himself. Didn't Palpatine take Maul as an apprentice while still apprenticed under Pleagus?
Yes he likely is an apprentice to one of the mom's who lived. Dooku also had apprentices while under Sidious. It's pretty common for an apprentice to take their own secret apprentices when planning to usurp their master.
Glad to se the series really find its footing. I'm also happy they weren't afraid to kill off main characters to give the show actual stakes. I hope the story continues to be as strong as this episode!
Kelnacca will be blamed for the Jedi deaths as it seems he has been fighting some kind of curse that was put on him and why he attacked his own in the trailers (which is why he has the tattoos and seems to be studying witch magik). Mae will convince Sol to go back and save "Mae" resulting in his death so no one will be able to report the sighting of a Sith Lord. Osha and Mae are a diad in the force and Plagius will use them to create life (Anakin) . thats how I think this ends.
i just had an idea about why Qimir would have been on Brandok when the fires started. what if the coven of witches were actually in service to Darth Tenebrous as a force research sect. to try and create a dyad in the force and then use that to implement the sith plan across the galaxy. Qimir could be the current apprentice to Tenebrous and as per the rule of two, he is looking for a student to aid him in killing his master, cementing him as the master and his acolyte as his apprentice. Qimir saved mae to maintain the dyad and use for his masters plan. only to fail in her training because mae isnt the twin with conviction. so he is now focusing on using and turning Osha, but inevitably Sol will be able to turn Osha back by the end of the series, more than likely resulting in hers, maes and Qimirs deaths. Then (im hoping) we get a thanos style scene of Tenebrous saying he'll do it himself as he recruits Plagueis.
and kills sol.
What I'm gonna predict is that Qimir is going to be another child of the Force like Anakin that the sisters rejected because of being a MALE, the seclusion will turn him dark and reveal he's the older brother to Osha and Mae.
i think whatll make this show redeemable is if this is true and qimirs goal is stop force birth all together because of what happened to him. so thatll keep anakin being the chosen one while still making the events of the show respectable. like force birth was always a thing but it had to be stopped.
older brother huh
At this rate there is going to be an entire orphanage of force sensitive children without fathers. Certain factions within the Star Wars production chain are salivating at the thought of children being created without the need of men
@@tbd3058there was, the witches of dathomir. And they had children without males for years before Disney
It has already been stated by the show's producer that the Sith master has not been revealed and following this episode's revelations, Qimir is the apprentice who needs to have an acolyte to train.
Could Qimir be a version of Darth Venamous? Tenabris’s secret second apprentice from the plagues novel ?
People would complain about him not dying the ten years earlier. But yeah, that would make some sense as he is fated to die and be forgotten
Venamis was supposed to be a Bith
@@geompat1 thats why I said “a version” of venamis
You are the first one I’ve seen to mention burns on Qimirs arms. Everyone else is just talking about his (surprising) amount of muscle and how they made him look super scrawny in previous episodes
There are dark cloaked beings at the Coven ceremony, I think they are The Sith masters there to supervise.
I didn't notice before but i just rewatched it, in the Coven episode at 8:57 I think the Sith arrive at the compound. The Witches hear a dark force like noise and go to inspect and get all nervous. I bet Tenebrous, Qimir(Darth Venemis?), and or Plagus are there for the nights ceremonies, cause what is the point of that worrisome scene? The Witches know they needed more members(the children) but don't feel super comfortable working with the sith? The 2 hooded figures are just gone the moment they announce the jedi have arrived
The light saber stabs in Jecki’s body was in the shape of a triangle.
As a non-Star Wars fan, I'm just here for the mystery vibes. I've really enjoyed the season so far
Wow, the worst Star Wars content ever conceived and you are enjoying it? holy shit
Opinions are like assholes…
Agreed! This show has been very enjoyable. The fight scenes in ep 5 were incredible!
@@user-on9yz2wz9qYes I am!
@user-on9yz2wz9q yeah because the OG fight scenes were just so good, right? Oh that vader vs obi-wan fight, amazing.
Grow up
The lightsaber cheragrapghy was amazing in this episode
Hey Charlie I just want to thank you for keeping things really positive on your channel as always.
My pleasure!
He didn’t claim to be a sith. He specifically says that the Jedi might call someone like him Sith. I think that’s a huge distinction. Especially when the show is obviously critical of the Jedi it makes sense that he would suggest THEY might call him that, even if he doesn’t actually claim to be
Man, the only thing Disney can do right is pick the actor to be the main bad guy That triple stab kill was actually pretty sick! Darth Zippermouth wrecked 'em all, and then he was taken offscreen by a bunch of giant moths. Sol hand-to-hand combat was awesome to see both actors radiate such power all the saber battles were great too, just glad to see a mixture of elements, and styles in this highly anticipated episode. Now that’s how you take the training wheels off I think Sol's was supposed to be fairly easy to guess. I clocked him the first time I saw him and I'm an idiot when it comes to these things. There are still two larger mysteries. Who is Sol's master and what did Sol do? Not only does he look the part, but I feel at this point that making him a Sith actually makes people care less about him as a character because everyone's gonna be more interested to see if Plagueis or some other Sith master shows up. The Rule of 2 results in a very strict Sith lineage that leaves very little narrative flexibility because you can't just invent a bunch of new characters like how the Jedi were 'wiped out' yet you can keep inventing new Jedi that just so happened to survive Order 66 (Kanan, Cal, etc....) Besides, the whole plot trope of a Sith master guy training a young woman as a new apprentice... that's basically Drew Karpyshyn's Darth Bane trilogy of books and at this point, I'm pretty sure there's no way Acolyte can beat that story. Charlie, you've been doing this for a long time. I sincerely hope you enjoying enjoy your job. You are so good at this and we all appreciate your channel and your videos! Yord was ultimately killed without a weapon That little Revenge of the Sith reference was cool As a non-Star Wars fan, I'm just here for the mystery Stormtrooper 3 left get cut out right now vibes. I've really enjoyed the season so far I was starting to like Jecki in this episode. She was very capable and impressive when she dueled Qimir. I honestly did not expect Jecki or Yord to die. Their deaths were surprising to see. Especially how brutally they died. It's the best episode so far. Now playing THE BOYS SEASON 4 EPISODE 5 FULL Breakdown, WTF Ending Explained & Things You Missed Emergency Awesome I knew Yord would end up dying, but not like that rip Dafne Keen's character though He’s Sol’s son. Glad to see the series really find its footing. I'm also happy they weren't afraid to kill off main characters to give the show actual stakes. Also, has Osha's "trip" referred to in episode one ever been explained and accounted for? Perhaps she's not who we've been led to believe she is, either, and has something to do with at least some if not a lot of what's been going on? The final three episodes can't possibly be just Qimir eliminating anyone who knows about his existence or preventing them from telling the Jedi about him. There have got to be some major plot twists coming. I just hope they're not cheesy and dumb, like "Somehow, Palpatine survived". But knowing Disney's Star Wars...
One episode is a flash back.
So one may be the confrontation. And one may be the aftermath.
I think the way he killed the padawan was especially brutal, I was not expecting her to die.
Man the only thing disney can do right is pick the actor to be the main bad guy
They did everything right greenlighting _Andor_
@@cacogenicist I quite liked Andor but they spent too much of the series in the prison.
@@TheSwamper - Really? First time I've heard that take. The prison story was great.
@@cacogenicist It was good, but ate up too many episodes.
In an interview, either Leslye Headland or Dave Filoni said, that the Acolyte is not the apprentice but the apprentice of the apprentice. So Qimir is not the Master (even if Mae calls him so) but the apprentice. He just is trying to recruit someone who can help him kill the Master.
Qimir didn't call himself a sith, he said thats what a jedi might call him...
Did Kylo Ren's song play when he turned Osha over? He could be one of the first Knights of Ren?
Or Darth Venemis?
Yes, I heard the same
He could be the first Ren.
Sol: Total Daddy
Qimir: Total bad boy
So many death in one episode 😂
RIP to all those Red Shirts
Well.. and Sol is probably dying in the next 2 episodes.
@@emergencyawesomehomage to Trek!
@@emergencyawesomeNot just them, but also Jecki and Yord.
Kill off osha too while they're at it
Sith master had their hands in the both training Qimer and teaching the witches some darkside magick.. kinda actually hoping the master is Tenebrous and Qimer ends up either being a Maul type and get tossed aside for Plagueis or Qimer ends up being Plagueis himself
We all follow the idea of the "Rule of Two", but in such a large connected galaxy, isn't it possible to have more than just one Sith Lord with an apprentice and acolyte? I mean, I get it when the universe wasn't so expanded and no so many storyline that the Sith are (for lack of better words) independent contractor that use Sith teaching as the rule for them is to not commune with eachother. It makes more sense that the Sith door is only open to a Master and an Apprentice and that's all who have access.
Yes, but they would not be bainian(true) siths.
I can’t remember what the correct way of saying “descendant of bane” or what the term for fake siths are.
May has the witch brand on her head. I don’t see her actually fooling Sol.
Is Qimir a Sith Lord or apprentice? How can he be more powerful than all of the Jedi? Battle was 🔥.
Qimir is the Sith Master currently.
@@emergencyawesome I think he's the apprentice to the actual master. Who i'm hoping is tenebrous. It can't be plagueis cause he's too young at this point.
@@emergencyawesome correct, But his true name is Darth Jason of Jacksonville, Fl.
@@darthaelris2059duuuval
I don't think he's the master you just can't name yourself maybe he's been reading ancient sith text and claims to be a sith like Ventress
I think the whole thing flies in the face of established lore, but if they were going to try to salvage it in any way I think they should make him Darth Venemous. His goal is to kill Plagueis to prove himself to Darth Tenebrous. Instead, he himself gets killed at the end of the series and Plagueis discovers Ohsa/Mae and this sets him on his path to experimenting with the midichlorians to try to create life. The Force then resists because it does not want to be manipulated like that a second time, and so it lashes out by creating Anakin Skywalker
I thought when qimir said “Don’t remember me?” He was referencing episode 2. I hope it goes deeper than that
Is it possible that Qimir is Venamis? Both levitating, looking for a sith name and wanting an apprentice
Yord was ultimately killed without a weapon
I think Qimir (younger dark side) and Sol (older light side) are the same person, or Force dyad. If Sol killed Qimir, the dark side will be reabsorbed and fully take over his consciousness. Sol wants to keep that from happening to the sisters, too, because they’re are the same as him. The Sith want to make one of the sisters as his apprentice
It's already been pointed out but Qimir is likely based on "Chimera, a monster of the Greek mythos." (A monster made up of parts from many beasts.) The thing to remember is that the word "chimera" nowadays connotes an illusion -- so Qimir is hiding / playing with identity as a way of pointing out that things are not as they appear (e.g., Jedi sometimes do bad things an conceal them' Sith may just want to express themselves freely....).
I knew Yord would end up dying, but not like that 😂 rip Dafne Keens character though 😢
That little revenge of the sith reference was cool
if Mae can trick Sol into thinking she's Osha by cutting her hair will be wild. Not only should a Jedi master be able to sense that she is a different person, but she has a bright white face tattoo on her forehead that should be a pretty huge giveaway.
The Rule of Two that Darth Bane laid out instructed the Apprentice to secretly seek out their new apprentice prior to killing the Master. This ensures that they are capable of completing the task in secret unbeknownst to the Master, and it provides the Master a replacement apprentice should the Apprentice die in their attempt to kill the Master.
If this is Plagueis' master, I'm going to vomit.
Literally that gave me Darth Maul vibes with the dual lightsaber
I don't understand why he couldn't be Darth Plaguis. It's 100 years before Phantom. Sidious was an older man by that time. So Plaguis could be a younger man during this time. What am I missing?
Another thing that make me believe that Qimir is not the Master, is the fact that at the end he force heal Osha, that’s a technique that Palpatine mentioned that Plagueis can do “heal others but not himself, the irony”
This episode was some of the best star wars I've ever seen I loved the way the sith just skewered 2 jedi😮
I think you need to watch more Star wars before you conclude that this was some of the best visuals.
@@deewattYeah cause the fight between vader and obi-wan in A New Hope was such a visual spectacle. Or any of the fights in the OG.

@@deewatt tell me a better lightsabre fight scene?
R-I-P Jecki and Yord
I was so sad when jecki died. But why did she have such a hard time against Mae but she actually kinda held her own against qimir
The kymir Sith Master was probably recruited by the real Sith Mastermind that was actually behind the fire in the Force Witch Flashbacks whose training an Acolyte one secret from his true Sith master so he could become the “Sith Master” that can finally officially call his Acolyte his “Sith Apprentice.”
Because this Kymir Sith seemed to have carefully chosen his words by not specifically stating that he’s the current Master of the “Rule of Two” Era Sith Order. So I think his true sith master is someone that is from the SW Canon but it just won’t be revealed to the audience until the final episode of the series when Kymir is permanently killed off by either the Jedi that also conveniently dies & or is permanently taken off the board in someway shape or form to allow the sith order to live on & operate completely unimpeded or by his Sith Master when he fails to pull off his coup attempt..
Either way absolutely nobody involved in this story is able to tell the Jedi anything about what truly happened about the Sith & since everyone is either confirmed & or presumed to be dead at this point as a result the Jedi order will consider this entire matter “Closed” & not bothering to actually look into it any further & move on like nothing happened..
Most brutal and bold action we have seen in the live action SW universe. But I felt the writing was uneven. It was clunky and obvious. The idea itself was big and risky, but the blindingly evident, and simple narrative, for me, did not rise to the level of the courageous choices they made for the episode’s outcome.
You star wars(fake) fans are something else! Jesus christ, I know the latest trend is to have every disney star wars content but you are just trying to find things to hate. No winning with you guys. You guys ruined Star Wars not Disney because you guys are never happy.
At first you hated the prequels and Hayden. Now you all love them both. Hypocrites. Fake people.
Great lightsaber duels. The Sith, since there are only two of them, shouldn’t be easily slain by one or two Jedi. Qimir acquitted himself well.
Not really
Even though we all knew who he was, I could not believe how hard they went in this episode! RIP Jedi… thank you Charlie!!
The mother who carried osha is the sith master that taught him.. not the queen but the other chic
Could "night" also be thought of as "knight" of Ren.
We were both right, I knew it was Qimir as the sith
I think most people had the same theory
@@emergencyawesome I was hoping it wasn't Qimir tbh. I wanted him to be a red herring
Yes I'm those people who did call it from the beginning Qimir sith reveal was obvious it just under sure how the sith has developed the ability to hide from Jedi while interacting with them like Palestine.
Sol to Osha: I am your father!
Osha: Saw that coming ...
I interpreted the significance of Basil finding the top of pip to be when he tries to return it to May pretending to be Osha, She won’t recognize it and that’ll send off red flags.
The actor David Harewood is the master! He was on imdb, but it seems to have disappeared!
David Harewood? Does that mean he's the father of the twins?
Damn Jecki was cool
Qimir said the Jedi "might call him Sith", so there is a possibility they try to play on that. I think Mae will record Sol's confession of what they did on Brendok and this will weaken the Jedi, paying off "the acolyte kills the dream". Qimir will probably show Osha the same thing but I can't see her joining him immediately.
Technically Kylo/Ben resurrected a dead Rey using the force, so "from a certain point of view" Ben Solo was able to manipulate the light side of the force to cheat death. A technique Anakin was searching for to save Padme.
How did Mae have trouble with a padawan when she took on master Indara with almost no problems…
Different circumstances
But look at that fight that padawan put up against Qimir!
Different people have different abilities not classified by title. The SW universe has always been like this, too bad she died though, ‘it’ would have been a crazy powerful master
