Qimir is a Ren not a Sith, he refers to his pupil an Acolyte not an Apprentice coz he never consider himself as Sith, he said he has no name coz there's no terminology for a Ren at that time.
A lot of people aren’t mentioning or noticing this, but Qimir proved to Mae this episode that it is possible to kill a Jedi without a weapon, just snap their neck
Jecki was the stand out. She had the best fight between herself and Qimir. Dafne Keen is great at action just like in Logan as X23. I hope she is in Deadpool and wolverine.
Even though we only saw her fight in one episode she covered it ALL. Single saber skills and then double saber skills, she really was a great fighter. None of them just got any expiernce fighting a dark side user😢. But she still put her all! RIP my girl!
Definitely a good performance but a really underdeveloped character and kind of a waste of a great talent that could have been in another Star Wars project with much more to do other than get killed off for shock value. I have a feeling she is not in that movie cause they really don't want to mess with Logan but I hope I am wrong cause it would be cool to see her as X-23 again
It's weird to me that people criticize this reveal for being "too obvious" when the show itself claims that it was of course obvious when those same people never ever complained about Palpatine being the sith lord being so obvious lol
I know! But we must all remember that she was the one who busted the sith's helmet off for the reveal. She was kicking his ass for a while and played a huge role in whatever comes next. RIP Jecki, we salute you ⚔
Oh so it was all of us😭😭😭. I was waiting for her fight style to emerge, to see if she really was up there in my top fav Jedi and lost her not 10 minutes later😭
No one here seeing the issue with her standing toe to toe with a guy who’s probably almost as strong as Palpatine lmao especially when he one shot 8 Jedi and Jedi masters lol no one?
real quick, i've watch a lot of reactions - the reason Mae isn't trying to be arrested despite saying she was gonna turn herself in is because now she knows her master is here and if she doesn't run she dies.
Imagine she's arrested, put in handcuffs and guarded by the Jedi... then the master kills all the Jedi and all that's left is her... handcuffed... against the master. Its better to just run. lol
The Jedi had thought the Sith were extinct for 1000 years, prior to The Phantom Menace. This show takes place 100 years before The Phantom Menace so 900 years after the Sith's supposed extinction, the Sith survived in hiding for that long by abiding by the Rule of Two, this as far as we know is the first time the Jedi have encountered a Sith for 900 years, so no Qimir is not the first Sith he's one in a long line of Sith.
That's why Qimir said that they all had to die, to keep the Sith's existence a secret from the Jedi Order, which we know will last for another 100 years. The Jedi master that you mentioned from the previous episode is Master Ki-Adi Mundi who is from the prequels. He said the line about the Sith being extinct for a millennium in The Phantom Menace but it's not really a retcon because they never mentioned the Sith during his scene.
@@camdamelio4334 ”A jedia like you might call me a sith” was the phrase Qimir used. So no he dont belive himselfe to be one, he rejeckts the jedias binary thinking of jedi/sith. I think this is why this series uppsetts so Manny. You are all chaght in the binary Theocracy thinking of the jedi.
@@camdamelio4334 Qimir: “I have no name though you might call me…Sith” Qimir/Sol could die, though personally I feel it just showcases the arrogance of the Jedi, they are willing to ignore any possibility that the dark side has grown in strength.
@@ObsessiveGeek the arrogance is that the jedi thinks they Can decide what is the light and the dark side. We all me inkluderar have been chaufför by the jedias way of binary thinking due to the introduction we got and How simpel life would be if ther was just light and dark. That’s one thing I’ve brought up, is how many times do you think Jedi have actually encountered a Sith over that 1000 years but never made it back to tell anyone?

@@simonwookey7598 osha will end up the acolyte. With Mai pulling a twin swap, the next few episodes will be osha traveling with the Sith and seeing the sith way of life and Mae will see the Jedi way. And the show will end with osha beating Mae and then turning on Sol in a past betrayal.
@@jimmysmith6373 Now wouldn't it be silly if Rosario was hopping about like an animated child. Seriously they bounced around like Looney toons characters in Clone Wars sometimes.
I dunno why everyone is missing the point of Mae.. Mae was willing to go to Kelnacca and apologize for her sins and wait for the Jedi to pick her up. But he's dead. And the Jedi think she killed him So her only option is to let the master and Jedi duke it out, and try to escape. Meanwhile the reason why the master left the fights, he only wants Mae. The Jedi don't know he's a sith, so he's only focused on Mae. So when his mask comes off he immediately goes for the kill shot. Plus he's egotistical and prideful and 100% the apprentice, wanting his own pupil so he can become the master. I mean I understand the story isn't that well written but the character motive made perfect sense to me
So I'm confused. He wants a pupil but senses that Mae no longer will come with him because she found hope in her sister, right? So he now wants to kill her. Is he now hoping he can turn Osha, is that why he's keeping her alive? I assume Osha's memory of what happened is false, and Qimir will show her the true events of that night. I wonder if we'll get a swap with the sisters.
I’m not a tough critic and easy to please so I wasn’t complaining too much about this and only was fairly confused but thanks for explaining this so I understand better
... But Mae’s already killed other Jedi before Kelnacca. Two of them. And was still intending to turn herself in before the Kelnacca moment. So why would them thinking she killed one more Jedi change anything? Mae’s motivations feel extremely bipolar and make zero sense to me. And then if the Jedi actually played a bigger role in killing the twins family (which they’re strongly hinting at) -- it makes even less sense why Mae would have that moment of wanting to turn herself in. She’s been seeking vengeance all this time. Kills two Jedi. Finds out her sisters alive. Suddenly is fine with the Jedi and down to turn herself in because Osha’s alive and being with her sister is her priority. And then proceeds to... secretly take Osha’s place and leave Osha behind with the Sith? I just cant see anyway for the rest of the story to explain away these decisions.
@@Metaphorically7 Yeah, it's very much "plotitis" where she's changing how she feels for the sake of the plot, or we don't have all of the information. They HAVE done a lot of hiding of motivations, so who knows what else they'll reveal.
I think it was still a toss up between the mother and him. I think the main issue with it being Qimir is...who cares? Like sure he might end up being someone that matters, but now, there was no big reveal at all. Simply that it was someone we've seen with our eyes, but has no meaning or value to anyone.
@@GacMan47 Yea because the Sith were STILL hiding in the shadows so they have to survive in some way. A disguise is one thing. Qimir pulled off a Palpatine.
I think it’s more impressive that he acted as good as he did with such bad story telling all around him. Between the plot holes and the awkward one liners I think he did a good job lol it’s actually impressive 🤣
You guys are so focused on finding faults, it's no wonder you can't enjoy watching any new Star Wars material. Imagine if someone was telling a great campfire story and everyone was capitavated by the tale and the flames and the orator's delivery and the stars above, breathlessly awaiting the next event... and then you showed up and chimed in, questioning the events and challenging the orator... Complete buzz-kill. And nothing says "insecure nerds looking for affirmation" more than video commentaries acting like they're smarter than the creators of the story and laughing about how silly it all is. Actual writers put time and energy and heart into creating this story. As did all the other actors, producers, and physical facilitators. There are young people at home, excitedly watching these episodes at home- maybe pointing out their name in the end credits to their kids. I personally thought ep.5 was pretty baddass. Sure, I noticed things... like I don't think those trees would've fallen backward against the angle of the cuts they received. But please shoot me if I ever become the guy pointing that out while everyone else is just trying to enjoy the movie.
Genuine question: If you don’t like commentary on media then why are you watching a UA-cam channel that is about commentating and reacting to clips from the episodes instead of just watching the episodes yourself and taking it in? Why intentionally come here and make yourself angry then lash out at people when you knew ahead of time you didn’t want to hear other opinions? Most of us come here after watching the episode ourselves to hear other people’s thoughts and express ourselves own/discuss film because we enjoy it. If that doesn’t interest you that’s completely valid but I don’t understand why you felt the need to be a jerk to others and wind yourself up when you could have avoided the whole thing by just not clicking on the video in the first place. If you are not in a great place right now I know it’s hard, sometimes you just need to vent but there are other human beings on the other end of the comments section. Those people are affected by what you say. There are better ways to cope with emotional distress than taking it out on others. I hope you are able to find a more positive way to express yourself in the future. Wishing you all the best!
@@lane1776 She was a Padawan and she stands in a fight with a guy that just bodied Jedi Knights like they were rookies, she was an extremely powerful padawan well trained by Sol, in terms of lightsaber combat she was absolute beast. However, Yord was very disappointing in terms of combat.
@@lionssinofpride7817 It seemed Jecki was flirting with some of the Dark side ala Windu to get some power to fight Qimir more evenly. However she let it get to her too much and the second she started losing control (The scream and the wild attack) is the second before she dies. The girl had huge potential to be one of the best lightsaber fighters of her era but her inexperience caused her downfall.
Qimir being goofy is just a Yoda reference - hiding the master behind a carefree, comic relief facade is pretty standard Star Wars. It's the whole reason "Darth Jar Jar" is a thing. (Point being, I don't think anyone really questioned whether being too committed to the bit would actually make sense...)
Michael is such a positive attitude in the Star wars fandom, please have more of him on the show. We need his voice to be heard. I'm done with the negative engagement everyone seems to be following for their wallets. Cool not to like something, people have been taking a step too far with their negativity however.

You gotta respect them killing of Yord and Jecki. So many other shows would have let the miscellaneous Jedi be cannon fodder, but let the core characters survive.
Well that and the character development is so bad that you pretty much don’t even care that they died. Which I guess from their point is probably why they have them so underdeveloped…the show is bad so I guess it’s as good as it can be lol
I don’t think Star Wars diehards realize Star Wars was NEVER HIGH ART! it was revolutionary in many ways, but man it was always campy with laughable dialogue, major plot holes and awkward character chemistry at times…. Star Wars’ current haters are reminiscing about a past era that never was
As a diehard fan myself, even I am able to recognize that this franchise is filled with some of the same critiques that the acolyte has. Just the other day some supposed “fan” really tried to make the point that the Jedi not sensing Qimir showed how bad they are and how badly written the show is. That very “fan” for some reason failed to realize that that has already happened once before. In the prequels when the Jedi are all sat around Palpatine they are just not sensing him at all. So yeah, Star Wars has always had this kind of stuff.
Ki-Adi-Mundi says that there hasn't been a Sith seen in 1000 years or something of that nature and, as of this episode, he still hasn't seen one. So, it really depends on what Sol reports or how the rest of the show goes down. We've already seen the Jedi covering things up, so even if Sol reports seeing a Sith, I can absolutely believe that it gets covered up. Especially since, dark side users with red lightsabers don't automatically mean Sith. I mean, they questioned whether Maul was a Sith after all.
He’d report it to the counsel 100% atleast. Even if they ACT like the Sith are extinct they know they aren’t which ruins the 6 Star Wars movies, Palpatines plan would be found out, No Darth Vader, No empire, No Luke. This show literally just broke Star Wars lol
@@Greenhawk4 Do you really think the Jedi counsel wouldn’t find out? How many Jedi were killed by the force and lightsaber wounds? There would be a ripple in the force. Come on lol have you watched the movies? This is 100 years after the Sith had gone “extinct” and now all of a sudden there’s a Sith? Whatever happens in the next episode, the lore is broken. 8 Jedi KILLED by the someone using the dark side of the force, the counsel already would know! Master Yoda couldn’t feel 8 Jedi! Being mowed down by 1 guy using Sith powers? Come on lol
Jecki was amazing in this episode knowing she was outgunned she took on a sith head on. Also I think theres gonna be a big switch up with mae being a jedi and osha being a sith. I think Qimir has a master, there's no way he would've known about the Sith unless he was chosen as an apprentice to a sith lord.
Yes, it has and this is something that I think even the most diehard of diehard Star Wars fans or at least fans that think their fans these days failed to forget. Star Wars has always been inundated with plot holes, silly stuff, and cheesy dialogue that doesn’t really come off that great. I think even when George was making those prequels, his major focus was really to tell a good story and have enjoyment to it. He didn’t really care that much about dialogue and directing actors which has been proven if you’ve listened to him in interviews. That’s why I always referred to the prequels as entertainingly bad movies.
6:30 In defense of Mae deciding not to turn herself in. Her master is killing all of the Jedi. She knows there’s no way they can protect her from him. Turning herself in makes sense when he’s not on the planet and the Jedi would take her beyond his reach. But he’s there already. It makes more sense for her to run at this point.
Best episode so far. I have to ask though with a budget so high, and a decent cast of people, wouldn’t the show have been way better if they took their time with each episode, given more time for character development, the deaths would have been way more heartfelt. Qimir in one episode, despite how poorly they tried to conceal his truth, was leagues more menacing than kylo ren. There’s moments of brilliance here kind of ruined by underwhelming storytelling. 6/10 for this one. Qimir is top character, Sol in second. Jecki was also my favorite, I didn’t like Yord but his death was so brutal I felt so bad.
@@TripleeVFX Every time they reshoot or fire people for “creative differences”, I feel like they had someone who tried to do something special but since it downs talking with their views they let them go.
@@TripleeVFX She’s running the show, but I noticed most of the episodes have different directors like Mando or boba did. Otherwise yeah her hands are all over this project.
It's because Disney doesn't actually care about SW. That's becoming more and more clear to me. They treat these shows like they don't matter, and don't want to put the effort into them. We could've had HOTD or Last of Us quality shows in the SW universe, but instead they give up 25min eps and the entire show ends up being a disappointing mess.
KAM outrage is a nothing burger. The video he watched of was a rogue Force user who wouldn't stand a chance in a 'fair fight' against a Jedi Master and nothing in it indicated a Sith and neither was the term, Sith, used in that meeting. Now, if Sol goes back and tells Ki-Adi-Mundi about it? Then, fine. But, now? People are just piling on to find excuses.
I'm wondering if Qimir is even in total control of himself. Maybe who he is isn't what Sol sensed as "familiar", but the power and person controlling him instead. Mother Anaseya would know all of the history with Sol, and Qimir says the Master "collects people." He could just be part of her collection, all the while believing himself to be the Master.
My favorite episode so far, the reveal wasn't too surprising imo but I still liked it, I'll still wait till the last episode to have a complete opinion over the story
I think this Sith will turn out to be Darth Tenebrous apprentice before Plagueis the timeline lines up cause Plagueis should be in like his 20s right now, so Darth Tenebrous should be around. Well that's if the people that wrote this show knew the history of Star Wars. I like this show for what it is there's some characters I enjoy some I don't care for. I enjoy the fight scenes, sith is cool but if he is a sith master idk how that makes sense really. Also that Jedi master that is in the prequel movies that is in this show, in canon is not supposed to even be alive yet by a couple decades I believe that's why people have a problem with him being in this show This Sith is already a better fighter than Kylo Ren who couldn't even defeat Rey lol I like this show more than The Last Jedi and Rise Of Skywalker tbh
Sol knows its not Osha, just as the Sith knew its not Mae...its obvious. I still think Sol turned but was rehabilitated but will turn again. He was about to kill Smiley Ren.
It was strange that Osha had essentially NO reaction to the deaths of Jeckie and Yord. Like, absolutely nothing. She was practically looking Yord in the eyes. A guy she’s known for years, a friend, and there’s absolutely no change on her face.
Her and Yord were on rocky ground, so I can maybe rationalize that, but her and Jeckie were looking almost like a thing for a bit there. So strange to not get a more emotional reaction out of her for that death.
This episode really surprised me. Top tier fights and light saber fights, brutal death of so many characters at this point. Standout episode really. Still Qimir being bad guy wasn't hardly a surprise at this point. He is good villain in this Episode. Its bit frustrating that poor writing is hindering villains to have their full potential but I agree what others have said. Qimir is more intimidating than Kylo Ren ever was. There's that brutality of Vader in him what we saw bit in Obi-Wan and in comic books.
Y’all weren’t even this hard on The Flash and that was deplorable. Please bring Michael back one negative Nancy is tolerable but just like Sith the rule of 2 is difficult 🫠😂
Look Acolyte isnt a perfect series, first 4 episodes were slow and could have developed characters better for us to be invested in them. But this episode was amazing, credit where its due. The Sith absolutely obliterated the Jedis, lore conflict aside.
Stop lying mate. It was nowhere near decent. Look how they butchered the lore. It feels like they absolutely abandoned "the chosen one" for the sake of woke LGBT propaganda nor the writers and directors actually understand the lore. By the way, the show is cancelled. I felt so bad for the korean actor as it was his debut in Hollywood and because he really did a good job in portraying a Jedi in High Republic era but then again he's already paid.
@@shippendales8543 I always felt that Rosario was moving so stiffly. Of course I don’t expect her to move like animated Ashoka since that’s impossible, but I would have liked to see her move faster and more agile, since that’s Ashoka’s entire technique
The point of Yord saying that he doesn't follow the rules is to highlight his out of touch the Jedi who has had a thousand years of relative peace have become. To most Jedi in this era lightsaber training is essentially yoga with a sword. It's someone you do to stay in shape and to connect with the force it's NOT done to prepare for combat. So the sith could be the worst duelist in all of sithdom and he'd still be formidable against most Jedi who haven't trained for combat in hundreds of years
Yes she said she was going to turn herself in but when her master arrives she’s trying her best to run away and not get cuffed by the Jedi because she knows how deadly her master is and that he is capable of killing all of them.
Imo. This show has impeccable set design and choreography as well as some great characters (Sol & Jecki) but great weaknesses like weird dialogue and plot points as well as the two main characters motivations and interactions (osha and May).
Wish I felt more connection to literally any of the characters that died, but I loved how he didn’t keep any of them alive for the sake of plot, it truly felt like he was showing his full ability and wasn’t holding back for the sake of holding back, which I liked. Excited to see where the series goes, now that Osha and Mae have swapped places
I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone watching these reactions and seeing this episode getting nitpicked to death after you guys went so light on the first four. This episode was far and away the best of the bunch so far.
People keep saying Qimir's reveal was obvious and that it is a point against the show. I disagree. Think about how many reveals that have happened that were from the trailer, that were so casual? The Jedi Killer. What happened on Brendok. Now the Stranger. These are all layers of the onion. Each reveal opens up new questions. This reveal of Qimir was NOT the twist. At all. We still have to reconcile POVs from the Brendok massacre. And even then - I STILL don't think that's going to be the huge reveal. Leslye said in an interview that she had fun putting so many clues in each episode that once you get the big reveal, you'd have to go back to each episode to realize it's been there the whole time. So, I don't think that anything before the final episode - is a consequential reveal to the larger mystery.
I don’t understand the Ki-Adi Mundi uproar. He did not see a Sith. He has seen a cctv tape of a fighting force-user that Vernestra said was trained by a Jedi. It now depends what Sol will report back. I‘m pretty sure he won’t tell the small council that he has seen a Sith
@@alexmuenster2102 Because the Sith knows something dark and wrong about Sol's past and he is afraid, have you watched the episode without any preconception??
Wait a damn min.... He kills like 7 Jedi but loses to moths. And how is he a Sith? The Sith are only 2, Master & Apprentice and they are in hiding. But it's a Sith running around killing Jedi 100 years before Mauls reveal? How? who taught him? Is this Tenebrous or Plagueis? How does Ki Adi think the Sith have been extinct for 1000 years, if a possible Maul level Sith was running around in his lifetime? And where the f*ck was Sol while all those garbage Jedi were being killed? This just make the Jedi look like weak fodder and incompetent. How is Sol not trying to contact the Jedi Council and warn of the return of the Sith?
I’ve seen a lot of reactors care too much about “breaking lore”, and that’s just not really where the show falters. The problem with the show is the pacing. I think this story, the way they’re doing it, works a lot better in a movie format. Instead things are stretched out even though the episodes are short, and they’re just circling over and over around the mystery of what happened that night. You’re right, I just don’t really care about the characters. Even though it’s been 4 episodes, we hardly know any of them, in part because their entire identities revolve around that mystery and they aren’t willing to divulge what happened yet. The pay off needs to be HUGE to surmount what we haven’t gotten, but at this point it might be too late. “Not enough” is how I would summarize it.
I understand that fans want to see more serious stories from Star Wars, but the notion that Star Wars ever was a franchise that emphasized serious storytelling is just laughable. It's always been goofy as hell lol
I know she's in heavy makeup so it makes doubling even easier but I'm reminded I NEED Dafne Keen to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine for a fight scene!!!
It's sad Qimir was a sith and he kills everyone including Jecki. I killed them. I killed the Jedi. Every single one of them, and not just the men, the women and the children too. They're like animals. So I slaughter them like animals. I hate them! I miss Anakin's quote on EP2 on the Attack of the Clones.
this was by FAR their best episode.(6/10) Sad that it took this long.. but its the only episode that feels remotely like Star Wars. and i mean.. everyone predicted who was the Sith it was hilarious XD
Well the Sith traditions and ways have been quasi exctint. He's a rogue force user basically , whom May have train himself to the dark arts in secret and from scratchs . But who knows of another Master lurks in the shadows...
The action choreography in this series has been extremely good. This episode in particular, reminds me SO MUCH of the cinematics for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Darth Teeth had some Malgus level cold blooded ruthlessness as well as abilities. Favorite episode by far so far, but I think it's skewed by the incredible action sequences lol
She was going to turn herself in when she thought her Master was nowhere near there and the Jedi would be the safest bet. But now that her Master is there, that means she believes he will defeat all the Jedi and if the Jedi arrest her and keep her there, she dies too for betraying him. Her mission now is just to get the hell out of there to avoid dying.
I really enjoy the series and love what it is trying to tell... It's very fascinating to me in every way. The series is trying to explore very specific philosophical themes around this twisted "game of power" (the force) and who's got the right to wield it and why ; but also that it goes beyond "good and bad" ; and themes such as "the freedom of choice" and things like that... So yeah, I think we delve into the alternate paths that exist beyond the Jedi way, with at its core the seeds of a dramatic outcome for the galaxy in its entirety. This very episode clearly shows the extent of the damages caused by certain specific events (related to the force and questions about its wielders) and their ripples in time... [all the Jedi who die in this episode weren't present during the tragic events of Episode 3, but they pay the consequences of their elders, in a way] I think this series is powerful in many various and subtle ways [so much so that it's not appreciated by a share of the audience (but I also see many people like me who love it and what it's trying to do/say)]. ...And this episode, of course I really loved, I found it Impactful on various layers and for episodes to come... *And I care about the story and characters, then of course this episode is a huge and devastating punch in the face, even if, again, I really love what the show is trying to tell regarding the consequences of the rules applied to the "force wielding"... **This being said : Fyi, you guys, Star Wars has ALWAYS BEEN a soap opera ("space opera", to be more precise). And yeah, even if more adult themes have been explored in recent years, it nonetheless ALWAYS HAS BEEN made for kids to begin with... But it's just that it has become a global phenomenon and tons of people have a feeling of ownership over it, therefore they make a huge deal out of any slightest detail/event that occurs (PS : I'm myself a huge fan of SW)... But it's mainly meant to be entertaining adventures that offer escapism and stuffs like this. It's not supposed to be The Godfather or Shawshank Redemption.
I really enjoyed this episode. But I definitely felt like when the fight stopped and it went back to Mae and Osha being our primary focus it lost me a bit, their flashback story is not interesting enough to me, hopefully we get more of the Sith aspect next episode considering Osha is now with Qimir and that might make it feel a lot more interesting. Also that fight was just so intense, brutal and so well done, I hope they bring in the people who do the choreography for this show into Ahsoka S2, all the movement felt so smooth and like they were actually trying to kill each other. I liked the Ahsoka vs Baylan fight because it felt like a Samurai vs a Knight but whenever they fought other enemies in that show it felt so weak.
I’m really enjoying the show tbh, but I think it has two fundamental flaws that a lot of the other Disney+ shows have, First, it’s so clear it was originally written as a movie. From the first episode I thought the abrupt ends of each episode were a weird choice, and that plus a few scenes that break the flow really give the impression that it was a movie first, and hastily padded out a bit to fit an 8-episode format Second, this show is releasing weekly. That may be the worst way to release a mystery show, especially one in the Star Wars ip. In the week between each episode, watchers are taken out of the mystery and takes away the mystique, meaning reveals like in this episode don’t have nearly as much impact as it would if you were binging it. Releasing it all at once might’ve even diminished just how extreme the review-bombing has been so far
mae was going to turn herself in, but quickly realized the Jedi cant protect her. even though shes fighting Jecki, shes really just trying to run away from smilo ren
Manny jacinto as a sith was way too hot and the choreography in this episode was way too damn good. Plus all the kills was brutal as fuck. I do agree with Ur review. I think the show has some cool concepts but the execution in regards to dialogue and directing are not living upto the ideas the show has. It's a little disappointing but to me the show is just kinda mid. Though it did get me into the high republic books which has been a lot better for me.
Even though the Jedi had problems with their lightsabers in the opening fight scene why didn’t the whole group resort to their force powers instead? What would happen if they subdued him as a group with the force and removed his red lightsaber from his grasp with the force?
When it is done, I hope you review the season as a whole. The episode breaks are terrible. I watched them all in a row just to see if it felt better…. It really does. This should be binged.

Even though we only saw her fight in one episode she covered it ALL. Single saber skills and then double saber skills, she really was a great fighter. None of them just got any expiernce fighting a dark side user😢. But she still put her all! RIP my girl!
Lets pour one out for her at the cantina.
Yea she was great…can’t wait to see her in more stuff especially Deadpool hopefully
Wish we could have got more of her. She had potential to be a long standing character.
It's weird to me that people criticize this reveal for being "too obvious" when the show itself claims that it was of course obvious when those same people never ever complained about Palpatine being the sith lord being so obvious lol
People don't like the show so they nitpick, it's how things go
People did complain about Palpatine.
Qimir was never supposed to be the big reveal. The big reveal is whatever really happened 16 years ago.
Agreed!
When you mask someone up for most of the series, who it will be is a big reveal, and this one was so obvious and sucked.
Agreed! Plus each reveal leads to a greater reveal

I loved the double use of the second lightsaber. She turned the fight around with that, but so did he. That was awesome.

real quick, i've watch a lot of reactions - the reason Mae isn't trying to be arrested despite saying she was gonna turn herself in is because now she knows her master is here and if she doesn't run she dies.
right
Right?! Turning herself in is no longer safe.
Fr, so many people are confused about that, beyond lots of other things. Use yours brains everyone
Imagine she's arrested, put in handcuffs and guarded by the Jedi... then the master kills all the Jedi and all that's left is her... handcuffed... against the master.
Its better to just run. lol
Good assessment thank you for that. I was a bit confused by it but that makes sense.

@@craghey I’ve been thinking it’s Osha too. Maybe that’s the biggest mystery of the season - who is the acolyte?

I dunno why everyone is missing the point of Mae..
Mae was willing to go to Kelnacca and apologize for her sins and wait for the Jedi to pick her up.
But he's dead. And the Jedi think she killed him
So her only option is to let the master and Jedi duke it out, and try to escape.
@@lockekappa500 I think all of those details are things we're supposed to be confused on, it's very much anyone's guess what happens

That doesn’t mean we should accept mediocre content and treat it like it’s amazing.
Haven't you heard? It's trendy to shit on star wars for absolutely no reason these days. Nobody watches just to enjoy the story anymore.
I agree the Jedi have pretty much admitted to optics lol 😂 they will cover this up since it makes them look weaker

Has Star Wars not always been kinda silly? Besides the weird Mae/Osha stuff that episode felt like classic Star Wars

In defense of Mae deciding not to turn herself in.

Kinda like Cere. She has moments in the first game where you can see the dark side creep out, and Vader even says she would've made a good inquisitor
Yeah you can tell he has a moment before he gets up, you can tell he knows there.
I'm SO pissed they killed Dafne Keen! 😡
It was strange that Osha had essentially NO reaction to the deaths of Jeckie and Yord. Like, absolutely nothing. She was practically looking Yord in the eyes. A guy she’s known for years, a friend, and there’s absolutely no change on her face.
That's because she can't act emotion out, lol
Her and Yord were on rocky ground, so I can maybe rationalize that, but her and Jeckie were looking almost like a thing for a bit there. So strange to not get a more emotional reaction out of her for that death.
She can’t fight or use the force she’s lame
Honestly I don't hate the show as much as others, but alot of it is wonky, kinda reminds me of the prequels (which I loved)
It's because she's a terrible actress lol
This episode really surprised me. Top tier fights and light saber fights, brutal death of so many characters at this point. Standout episode really. Still Qimir being bad guy wasn't hardly a surprise at this point. He is good villain in this Episode. Its bit frustrating that poor writing is hindering villains to have their full potential but I agree what others have said. Qimir is more intimidating than Kylo Ren ever was. There's that brutality of Vader in him what we saw bit in Obi-Wan and in comic books.

I guess Osha meant Sol, Yord and Jecki was her family not the ‘no name’ Jedi who all died in battle

@@alexmuenster2102 Because the Sith knows something dark and wrong about Sol's past and he is afraid, have you watched the episode without any preconception??
Similar part in Blade hospital scene when cops just loaded off on him “Motha F@ are you outta your damn mind” 😂
Yeah Star Wars has always been so serious with laser swords and space wizards….
I understand that fans want to see more serious stories from Star Wars, but the notion that Star Wars ever was a franchise that emphasized serious storytelling is just laughable. It's always been goofy as hell lol
BlueChew for lightsabers was so good 😂😂😂
Tarkin calls the Jedi a religion in the first Star Wars movie
“I wish I cared more about the Jedi who died” says the guy who discounted the set up of 2 fan favorites hating the prior *eyeroll*
the asian guy "sith" is manny jacinto. A filipino/canadian actor.
“What extraordinary beings WE are.” Qimir was another child of the Coven.
Sol & Darth Ezra Miller are the Best Characters in this Show rn😂
Smylo Ren* Get it right.
I really like Sol! I hope we see him in future Star Wars projects but I have a bad feeling that won't be the case
11:35--13:18 Two main jedi characters deaths in one episode😢
RIP Jecki and Yord who died in a very cool lightsaber battle
I know she's in heavy makeup so it makes doubling even easier but I'm reminded I NEED Dafne Keen to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine for a fight scene!!!
9:40 - He abandoned his fight with Sol and Jekki because his objective is to stop Mae before she can tell any Jedi what he is
Never seen yall be this nitpicky lmfao
And they still get called shills.
So the sith can use force heal? A Jedi power they did in the sequel?
y'all saying it was obvious it was qimir when I thought it was koril. 🤷♀
this was by FAR their best episode.(6/10) Sad that it took this long.. but its the only episode that feels remotely like Star Wars.
and i mean.. everyone predicted who was the Sith it was hilarious XD
18:43 theme of kylo ren Qimir IS it the first ren and no a sith?
He feels more like a Sith assassin than a Sith Lord
Well the Sith traditions and ways have been quasi exctint. He's a rogue force user basically , whom May have train himself to the dark arts in secret and from scratchs . But who knows of another Master lurks in the shadows...
So an Inquisitor...
Yo, why tf did his fingers like perfectly match the drums at the beginning?
She was going to turn herself in when she thought her Master was nowhere near there and the Jedi would be the safest bet. But now that her Master is there, that means she believes he will defeat all the Jedi and if the Jedi arrest her and keep her there, she dies too for betraying him. Her mission now is just to get the hell out of there to avoid dying.
Jesus this was an annoying reaction
Not a fan of the plot and all the Disney added shit they’ve done… but the lightsaber duels and combat is what we’ve needed for a while!
[all the Jedi who die in this episode weren't present during the tragic events of Episode 3, but they pay the consequences of their elders, in a way]
I think this series is powerful in many various and subtle ways [so much so that it's not appreciated by a share of the audience (but I also see many people like me who love it and what it's trying to do/say)].
...And this episode, of course I really loved, I found it Impactful on various layers and for episodes to come...
*And I care about the story and characters, then of course this episode is a huge and devastating punch in the face, even if, again, I really love what the show is trying to tell regarding the consequences of the rules applied to the "force wielding"...
**This being said :
Fyi, you guys, Star Wars has ALWAYS BEEN a soap opera ("space opera", to be more precise).
Oh a Light Saber!! clap like trained seals, or paid Disney shills, same thing😂😂😂
I’m really enjoying the show tbh, but I think it has two fundamental flaws that a lot of the other Disney+ shows have,
First, it’s so clear it was originally written as a movie. From the first episode I thought the abrupt ends of each episode were a weird choice, and that plus a few scenes that break the flow really give the impression that it was a movie first, and hastily padded out a bit to fit an 8-episode format
Second, this show is releasing weekly.
The best episode so far.
mae was going to turn herself in, but quickly realized the Jedi cant protect her. even though shes fighting Jecki, shes really just trying to run away from smilo ren
I liked this show and episode quite a bit. I like Jecki and Yord, so those who said they would not care, sounds like a problem with those watching.
